Larry had no choice but to take me back to his place.
The alley was dark, and the old building was part of the city's last remaining traditional neighborhood.
He tossed me onto the bed as we went upstairs. My clothes slipped off quietly, the bed was hard, and my position was uncomfortable. I gazed at him with a hazy look.
He paused, placing his hot hand on my collar. I thought he was going to take advantage of me, but he simply pulled my clothes back up, covered me with a blanket, and laid a quilt on the floor before leaving.
My body froze for a moment, but who knew Larry was so unyielding in nature.
I decided to go all in and slipped into his bed. The smell of tobacco on him was unmistakable.
"Go back." He ordered with a frown.
I held his hand and kissed his lips, feeling the heat of his breath.
"I don't have a boyfriend anyway, and no one wants me anymore. Just take me in. I'm easy to care for and don't eat much."
I kissed his cheek again. His face turned red, with a hint of alcohol, as if he was a bit tipsy.
He just looked at me, and I could see my own reflection in his pupils, a pure-looking girl with a ponytail.
My body trembled from his warmth, and under his gaze, I nervously and cautiously removed his clothes.
Larry's breathing grew heavier.
"Cindy, do you know what you're doing?"
"I do. I want you, "
I whispered softly, my breath entwined with his. It was as if he gave up any superfluous thoughts, and he embraced me, lifting me onto the bed.
His hot breath sprayed against my ear, and I could tell he was inexperienced at this.
I enjoyed his clumsy thrusts.
To my astonishment, the young man, who was abstinent, engaged in such intense interaction that I was drenched in sweat by the end.
Watching Larry, who had fallen asleep beside me, holding me tightly, his face still bore the youthful courage and innocence. On the table was a glass of water he had prepared for me before bed, still warm.
I felt a bit flustered. I used my finger to slide down from his brow to check if he was truly asleep, then got up to put on my disheveled clothes, and finally stood by the window to light a cigarette.
The phone rang; it was Danny calling.
"Ten minutes, I want you back at the villa."
The voice of command came from the other end. Then I glanced at Larry sleeping on the bed and stubbed out the cigarette.
"Okay."
I tidied myself up in the bathroom, my face pale, clothes disheveled, hair loose, with only a delicate face left to see. A light cough revealed traces of blood on the tissue.
I flagged down a taxi downstairs, and the driver gave me a knowing look as I told him the destination, as if he were evaluating merchandise.
When I got out, I handed him ten dollars.
"Keep the change."
The driver just smiled, took the money, and briefly held my hand before letting go.
I pulled back immediately, feeling a bit displeased.
He sneered and said, "Just finished with one and now onto another, making so much money and still pretending to be chaste."
I stood in the wind, accustomed to such things, but for some reason, this time, it made me feel a bit nauseous.
Opening the villa door, Danny, reeking of alcohol, charged at me, pinning me against the door.
I pushed him away.
"What the hell? After one time with that guy, you're saving yourself for him? Don't forget, I spent millions to buy you."
He was rough. Seeing me, he seemed angry, starting to undo his belt.
"Don't forget what you are!"
"Your mom is still lying in the hospital, "
Danny's words entered my ears word for word. Yes, I was just a cheap woman selling herself for money. I didn't feel anything with his words. I was a person who was rotten to the core.
I quietly let him pin me against the door, like a fish out of water, thinking of my mother lying in the hospital bed, mocking myself for daring to dream of a future.
Finally, his phone ringing saved me.
It was Danny's assistant calling.
"Lucy went to find that guy?" He shouted with a frown, getting up to leave.
I took the opportunity to go upstairs and change my clothes.
I didn't leave with Danny. He just left me at the villa and went away.
When I arrived at Larry's neighborhood, I saw a girl in a short skirt, looking pure, somewhat resembling me, standing next to Danny.
"Lucy, let's go. Look at this place." Danny was trying to persuade her with heartfelt sincerity.
Larry stood by the window, cigarette in hand, his voice tinged with sarcasm. "Go away, I don't like you." He said, not loudly, but just enough to be heard.
After saying this, he looked over at me, his eyes lighting up, and his figure disappeared from the broken window.
The next moment, he was downstairs, running to my side.
I held a bag of medicine and explained, "I went back to change clothes and bought some medicine."
In fact, I did buy medicine. His large hand held mine, his tone reproachful.
"Next time, let me buy it. There's no need for you to go downstairs."
"Who is she? Didn't you say yesterday you weren't interested in relationships?" Lucy pointed at me and asked.
"Sorry, I wasn't interested before, but I changed my mind yesterday."
I looked at Lucy and Danny, seeing Lucy's surprised expression, while Danny seemed to be suppressing a surge of anger.
