The frown was visible on my face "I just said that I do not want you as my mate anymore, is that too hard to understand?" I ask him.
He was obviously taken aback, "you do not want me?" He scoffed, "that cannot be true; we were okay, so what are you talking about?"
I scoff, "What more do you need to hear before you accept my rejection? Or do you think you are too good for me to reject you?"
He scoffed, "I am not accepting your rejection."
"Do you want to be disgraced? I am sure you won't want that, so accept my rejection, Morgan," I said to him harshly.
He stared at me and shook his head negatively, "I am not accepting your rejection, only death can make me accept your rejection," he spoke with certainty.
Of course, only after my father's death did he show his true nature, but this time I am not going to wait till he reveals himself.
Before I could say anything else, he left not wanting to argue with me any further, but I was ready to make him agree. I took a step in an attempt to follow him and make him accept, either by persuasion or by threatening him.
Cheryl stopped me from going after him. I glared at her, "what more do you want? isn't what I have shown you enough?"
"Lia, what is wrong? Talk to me. I am your friend; you know that I always take your side. What is going on with you? Why would you try to break the mate bond between you and Morgan? What is going on?" she asked me.
Her curiosity was so obvious; she was staring at me with keen interest. She wanted to find out the reason for my sudden change of attitude. Not even in her wildest dreams would she have thought I could change this much and, to make it worse, within a day!
I scoff and dragged her closer to me, "Try to be wise sometimes, Cheryl. Can't you see that everyone is quiet?" I ask her, "they are keeping their mouths shut for a reason. I thought you were smart; you're supposed to know what to do at this point that we are," I said to her.
"They are different from me; they are not your friends; I am. I have been your best friend since childhood. If you are acting this way towards them, you should not act like that to me."
I frown, "Is that a command or what?"
"It is not a command but a word from a friend," she said.
I display my middle finger, "Get lost, I don't need you," I said.
She scoffed and turned to everyone, "Lia has been possessed by some evil spirit or..." She turned to me, "Could it be that she is cursed?"
I scoff, "Hey!"
She walked to my father, "You need to lock her up and bring a sorcerer or someone that can deliver her from the evil spirit or curse. This is not Lia," Cheryl said.
I chuckled when she noticed no one stepped forward to hold me down, not even my father that she called on.
I smirk, "It doesn't matter if I am possessed or cursed because this has always been who I was. It was only suppressed."
Cheryl quickly looked for an excuse to leave seeing that she wasn't favored and does not want to be humiliated by me.
I scoffed and also left the speechless crowd.
The Next Day, news of what I did spread like fire; everyone was talking about it. Soon the neighboring pack found out. I was getting popular, and my nickname was 'The Witch Princess'.
Everyone talked about my witch powers and the killings. The rumors were so extravagant; they added a lot of lies to spice it up. Some said I killed all that was present that day. Some said I almost killed Morgan because he tried to intervene. There were so many lies than truth; it made me sound so horrible that I almost didn't believe they were talking about me.
The rumors lasted for weeks, and people ran every time I was spotted. It continued like this until the arrival of the Blackmoon Pack, who was our neighboring Pack. It took their minds off me, and their coming was the hot news on everybody's mouth.
I could remember the time in my past life that they came to our pack to make an alliance with it in case of an issue or war where they would need backup.
Their Alpha was Alpha Arve. He was a cold, arrogant, and strict man. He doesn't care about anything apart from himself; he is indifferent and does not hesitate to kill. He is so powerful and feared by all but fears none.
I didn't like him in my past life, and I still did not like him now.
The mere thought of him made me frown; he didn't do anything wrong to me in my past life because I avoided him.
You must be thinking why hate someone you don't know and only heard rumors and tales about him. It's simple; there are some people that you don't like and do not want to know about them, even if they have done nothing wrong to you, you don't like them.
It was the same case for Alpha Arve. I just didn't like him.
I wanted to stay indoors today because Alpha Arve will be going around the pack, but I felt like, why should I hide from him? He doesn't know me, nor have I seen him before; neither have I seen him. We could walk past each other without knowing, so why bother hiding?
I came out from the palace; I went into the woods to clear my mind and think of my next step of revenge. I took my favorite horse and went for a ride in the field within the pack.
I climbed on my horse and moved the horse to run; as the wild breeze touched my skin, my mood got better. I was engrossed in the horse, letting go of all thoughts for that moment, but my beautiful peace was cut short as an arrow was shot at us. The arrow felt like it was aimed at me but at the same time it wasn't. The arrow passed me like the wind.
My horse went into shock from that arrow and ended up making me fall down from the horse.
A young man suddenly appeared from the woods; he was a tall and imposing figure, his features sharp and cold, like a marble statue come to life. His eyes were indifferent and piercing, like one with no emotion of any sort. His hair curly black, full lips, he was far more than handsome; he was extraordinarily handsome, one unlike I have ever seen.
He walked towards me, and the first word he said was, "Did it hit you? The arrow?"
I groaned at the impact of the fall; I stood up and tidied my clothes. I scoffed, "It may have not hit me, but it gave me a fright and made me lose my horse," I frowned.
He stared at me speechless, like he had seen something unusual, he muttered words that I did not understand. Was he trying to apologize?
I coughed, "If you are apologizing then I can't hear you, do increase your voice," I said.
He growled, his eyes a mixture of brown and blue, his wolf form partly in control.
I raised a brow. Does he want to fight? Why would he bring out his wolf form? I opened my mouth to ask him, but he wrapped his hands around my waist, dragged me closer, and slammed his lips on mine.
My eyes widened in shock. What is going on?!
