I took a cab and got off near the school, then slowly made my way towards the commercial district with my head down. Unexpectedly, I bumped into a person on the street. The person stumbled, and his bag flew quite a distance. I quickly apologized and rushed over to help pick up his things. To my surprise, I found two boxes of sildenafil on the ground. I blinked, making sure I was reading it right, and when I looked up, I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment. The person was Laughalot.
He was momentarily stunned upon seeing me, then glanced at the two boxes on the ground. He tried to explain but ended up stammering, "This, that, it's not... don't get the wrong idea."
Oh, how could I not get the wrong idea with such evidence right in front of me?
"Don't explain anymore, I understand. We're adults, it's normal to have needs."
He was about to say something, but I cut him off, "Alright, no need to say more." I handed him his things and bolted out of there like I was caught red-handed.
What a promising young man, such a pity he was having issues at such a young age.
I had thought he was very good in that aspect. I never expected it to be like this.
My dad had a knack for calling at the worst possible moments. He told me they had arrived and were at the restaurant, famous for its spicy dishes.
He hung up quickly, as if everyone was conspiring against me. Oh well, if it came to it, I would just have a few bites and call it a day.
As soon as I entered the private room, before I could say anything, my dad saw me and eagerly introduced me to the person beside him, "Mr. Walsh, this is my daughter. What do you think? Isn't she pretty? Doesn't she look just like me?"
"Haha, I don't think she looks like you. Kaylee here clearly takes after her mother."
The two bantered back and forth, leaving me to the side. Only the man sitting with his back to me turned around, "Uh, come, sit here."
Why was it you again, Laughalot? I questioned him with my eyes, and he nodded, confirming, yes, I was the son of your dad's old comrade-in-arm.
Mr. Walsh and my dad stopped their banter, exchanged glances, and smiled knowingly. "Do you know each other?"
"No, we don't."
"Maybe, yes."
The inconsistent answer clearly had something fishy about it; Mr. Walsh and my dad exchanged a glance and smiled knowingly.
"If you don't know each other, then let's make it official today."
After the dishes were served, I was troubled by the table full of spicy dishes. Mr. Walsh saw that I didn't eat much, so he asked me, "Kaylee, is the food not to your taste? Your dad said you love spicy food, so we chose this place."
"Oh, no, I'm just not that hungry." I couldn't exactly say that I had hemorrhoids and now couldn't eat spicy food.
"She's not feeling well, so she can't eat spicy food. Let's order something light," Sure enough, as soon as these words were spoken by Laughalot, leaving Mr. Walsh and my dad stunned, especially my dad, who said loudly, "How do you know she's not feeling well?"
My dad looked like someone had just stolen his prized possession.
Even Mr. Walsh was taken aback, "How far have you two gone?"
"She has hemorrhoids," Laughalot said slowly.
Oh my gosh, why was I here? Was a lady's private matter something to be broadcasted?
My dad just felt relieved but then realized something was off, "How do you know that? Even I didn't know about this."
"I ran into her while buying medicine."
My dad was completely relieved now.
Mr. Walsh and my dad stopped their verbal sparring and switched to exchanging glances. I pretended not to notice and finished the meal in this bizarre atmosphere. Laughalot received a call and left first. After the meal, Mr. Walsh and my dad drove me back to school. My dad said he would stay around for a few days and told me to visit him when I had time.
As soon as I entered the dorm, Ashton cornered me at the bathroom door, "Honestly confess, where exactly did you go last night? Didn't I arrange for you to stay with Brad? I went through a lot to set that up, and you disappeared. I thought you went missing."
What did you say? Say it again? Wasn't I with Brad last night? Now I was genuinely confused.
I took a gamble on love, hoping to experience a passionate romance before graduation, but instead, love played me. Now I didn't even know who I gave my body away to, and the main culprit had vanished after taking advantage.
