Chapter 5 IT's OVER FOR YOU AJAY!

Marry him?

Did he just ask me to marry him? I asked myself as I looked up at him, my eyeballs wider than usual.

"What did you say?" I had to ask him again. I couldn't believe my ears.

"Marry me little dove!" he repeated and clearer.

I looked around the hospital ward I was in, hoping to see someone in there to confirm what I had just heard clearly.

Marry him? Why do I need to marry him? Would it favor me?

I had lots of thoughts going through my head as I stole glances at him.

He maintained his posture as though he thought he hadn't said something substantial.

Could I marry a stranger?

I have known Ajay for years yet this happened. What could possibly happen if I then chose to marry a stranger I had no idea where he came from?

I was about to decline when I recalled how safe this man made me feel last night and how safe I have been since then. How peaceful my world seemed.

Then I recalled my family who were on my neck and pressuring me to get married.

Was this all worth it? I struggled with my feelings when something crossed my mind.

Ajay was so comfortable with that girl the night I caught them together. So relaxed that he didn't even notice my presence which meant that it wasn't his first time cheating on me and had dared not rubbed that shit on my face cause he has a lot to profit from my family if he eventually marries me.

That alliance and traditional marriage gift seemed to mean a lot to him and I knew that was his major target. He never loved me. He loved everything else he could gain.

The family's profit and my talent.

It's over for you Ajay! I thought as I then looked at the bright sky through the hospital window

Not only would I have to stop the pressure from my family, but I would also be ruining all of Ajay's life's plans.

That's like killing two birds with just a stone.

Ajay!!!

I bet you have to watch the films I'm out to play, just for you alone.

"I will marry you." I accepted, looking deeply at him.

"Good!" he replied and I squinted my eyes.

Just good?

I relaxed my whole body, then got an inspiration for another song and started humming the melody right there on the bed.

When I turned, I didn't see him anymore and it freaked me out for a second.

He was standing right there. I thought.

"Giving Ajay vibes ugh!" I muttered under my breath.

"I'm right here," he said, walking in like he knew I was curious about his whereabouts.

"oh alright." I calmed down, releasing my brows that seemed to be thickly furrowing.

Exactly twenty minutes later, Adrian walked into the wards with two other men in suits.

On seeing this, I tried to sit up but he wouldn't let me as he pulled me back.

"The documents are ready master," Adrian said, bowing as he spoke.

"Hand it over!" he said to him and took the document, placing it right before me.

"What's that about?" I had to ask without even looking.

"That's our marriage document. Sign it!" he spoke

I looked down and that was when I saw the text boldly written at the top of the paper.

MARRIAGE AGREEMENT

He was ready?

I froze.

There was a pen on it, so I picked it up and hesitated as I then glanced at him, Adrian, and the two other men in suits.

"Who are these men?" I questioned him to preserve my calmness.

"There are lawyers."

"Oh!"

Well, I already made a decision. It wasn't necessary to back down now.

This man here seemed to not be an ordinary person and looking at him and feeling the air around him, I could tell he had no reason to use me or play me like Ajay had done.

I then signed the papers hastily.

"You didn't read the documents," he informed me.

"It's okay I don't have to. I trust you!" I replied to him and then put down the pen to relax more.

I was already feeling better and was already thinking about going home.

The lawyers present glanced through the papers to make sure everything was fine as they nodded their heads in approval.

"We will submit your marriage certificates to you first thing tomorrow morning. By the way, Congratulations to you both. You are now a legal couple." one of them said to us and they turned and left with Adrian.

I gave a slight smile as I then looked down.

"Don't tell me you are already regretting. It's a life journey with me, no backing down." he spat and stood, then a nurse knocked and walked in.

"We have finally decided to discharge her," she said after checking me out.

"Thanks!" he replied and within five minutes I was already in a car with my legal husband.

In the driver's seat was Adrian while at the back was me and him. I was just seated there with no idea where he was headed.

He said no word till I found myself staring at the front gate of RedWood.

The biggest and most luxurious but low-key building in the city with none other coming close to it.

Shit!

This looks massive but mysterious. I thought, my breath hitching as the car moved in. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Who was this man? I turned to look at him, my whole body already feeling so nervous.

When the car got into the garage and finally stopped, he stepped down and ran over to my side and opened the car door for me and as I stepped out, he held me to make sure I didn't trip till we got in.

I looked through the interior decor of the building and my feet went cold.

Everything in here was beyond luxury.

Who did I marry? I asked myself and it was then I realized that I didn't even know his name.

I didn't know the name of the man I married?

I was beyond stunned.
