Chapter 4 The foes

Qin Sheng stared at Han Ping and asked meaningfully, "Who exactly have you offended?"

Han Bing wouldn't believe that Qin Sheng didn't mean it. However, Qin Sheng didn't have time to argue with her now. Once he dealt with the immediate crisis, he could do whatever he wanted with Han Bing.

"You go inside first," Qin Sheng said, standing at the ready.

Han Bing had just finished screaming and was about to confront Qin Sheng when she noticed two strange men at the door. These men were burly and dressed in black t-shirts. All they needed were sunglasses to announce to the world that they were bad guys.

They clearly meant trouble.

Even though Han Bing was stubborn, she knew things were looking bad. She quickly listened to Qin Sheng and retreated inside the door.

"Gentlemen, what can I do for you?" Qin Sheng said with a smile. "Everyone's welcome here, so let's try to keep things civil. We don't want to scare the neighborhood cats and dogs, do we?"

"This doesn't concern you. If you don't want to die, let us take her away," said the bald man at the front, his voice menacing.

Qin Sheng laughed loudly. "Wow, you guys have good taste. Do you think she's beautiful? I think so too, so I've already claimed her. You're too late. Next time, be quicker."

"You're playing with us?" the man sneered.

Hearing Qin Sheng's words, Han Bing behind him had already cursed him out from head to toe. But now, she could only put her hope in Qin Sheng.

"Oh come on, you guys actually like being played? No, no, no, I'm not into that. Haha," Qin Sheng quickly shook his head.

The other man roared, "Brother, why are we wasting words with him? If he doesn't want to live, let's just do him in."

"This is a civilized society. If you kill me, you'll spend the rest of your life in prison. Oh, oh, oh, they love soap in prison, that's right up your alley," Qin Sheng continued to be sarcastic.

By stalling for time, he was hoping that Han Bing would call the police, but the silly woman was just standing there watching, as if she was about to grab a chair and some popcorn.

"You're asking for it!" The two men were finally furious and no longer wanted to waste words with Qin Sheng. They charged towards him directly.

Qin Sheng remained calm. Real tough guys weren't these kind of big and clumsy brutes. He figured this was just an appetizer, and there would be more serious trouble if they really wanted to threaten Han's father with Han Bing.

Luckily, the two men didn't have any weapons, otherwise Qin Sheng might have gotten hurt. Instead of retreating, he advanced towards them. When the bald man punched him, Qin Sheng dodged it gracefully and then landed a light punch on the man's elbow joint.

As the man bent over instinctively, Qin Sheng raised his knee and hit him directly in the chin. Finally, he delivered a powerful elbow strike to the man's back. The elbow and knee were the strongest parts of the body, and in just a moment, the man was knocked out.

The other man, who was about to make his move, was completely dumbfounded.

"Big brother, I was wrong," the man quickly reacted, bowing and slapping himself.

Qin Sheng walked towards him step by step. The man backed away step by step, terrified. He had thought it would be a fierce battle, but it turned out to be a complete mismatch.

"Sing me a song about Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf," Qin Sheng threatened, thinking of the movie he had watched, and teased the man.

"But I really can't sing," the man pleaded.

"Sing or else," Qin Sheng raised his fist.

"Fine, I'll sing. Happy Sheep, Beautiful Sheep, Lazy Sheep..." The guy sang reluctantly.

Qin Sheng deliberately turned to look at Han Bing. Over there, Han Bing was already giggling. Seeing that Qin Sheng was relaxed, the man took a knife from his pocket and prepared to sneak attack Qin Sheng from behind.

Qin Sheng had been expecting this. He'd seen this type of character too many times. Even if the man didn't sneak attack, Qin Sheng had left a move for him.

Just as the man took a step, Qin Sheng spun around and executed a stunningly beautiful roundhouse kick, striking the man directly in the head. The man's facial muscles and organs twitched simultaneously, and then he passed out, falling heavily to the ground.

"Your singing is terrible," Qin Sheng commented.

In just a few minutes, Qin Sheng had dealt with these two threats.

Han Bing, not far away, was staring at him with wide eyes. She hadn't expected this seemingly thin man to be so powerful. Now she finally understood why her father had asked him to protect her.

"You can come out now," Qin Sheng waved to Han Bing inside the door.

Han Bing stared at Qin Sheng as if he were a monster, "Have you practiced martial arts?"

"I lived near Mount Zhongnan. There, martial arts masters are everywhere. I learned a few tricks from them, but nothing special," Qin Sheng explained casually, but it was also the truth.

When he was young, they lived near Louguantai at the foot of Mount Zhongnan. Louguantai was where Laozi attained enlightenment and preached the Tao Te Ching. Although it didn't become as famous as Wudang Mountain or Longhu Mountain, and with the decline of Taoism, there were too many historical sites in Xi'an, so not many people knew about it.

However, the abbot of Louguantai had been the president of the Chinese Taoist Association for ten years before retiring last year.

When his grandfather had nothing to do, he would often go to chat with those old Taoist priests, talking about geomancy, feng shui, the Book of Changes, and other things. Since there were so many Taoist temples and monasteries in Mount Zhongnan, and there were also many hidden masters in the mountains, Qin Sheng's childhood was quite exciting. He had basically explored the entire Mount Zhongnan with his grandfather.

His martial arts skills were mainly taught by his grandfather, but he also learned a lot from the higher-level masters in Mount Zhongnan. He could be considered one of their half-disciples.

"Mount Zhongnan? I think I've heard of it," Han Bing mused.

"Let's go, get in the car. I'll take you home," Qin Sheng shook his head. Han Bing would never understand that kind of place.

Han Bing crossed her arms and glared at Qin Sheng, "Hey, lackey, let's settle this. You actually groped me! What do you think you're going to do about that? I'm calling Han Ping right now."

"It was an accident. What do you want me to do, chop off my hand?" Qin Sheng replied lazily.

Han Bing pushed her luck, "Go ahead, chop it off."

"You're crazy," Qin Sheng cursed.

Han Bing yelled, "Qin Sheng, I'll kill you!"

"Are you coming or not? If you don't, I'm leaving. If a few more people show up, I won't say what will happen to you," Qin Sheng said as he ran.

Han Bing was startled and quickly locked the door behind her, chasing after him.

Qin Sheng felt a bit awkward driving the bright red Maserati. After all, he was just the driver and assistant.

"Lackey, for saving me earlier, I'll let that slide. But if you do it again, I'll definitely chop off your hand," Han Bing threatened fiercely.

"Next time, even if you let me touch you, I won't. Who would want to?" Qin Sheng muttered under his breath.

Han Bing yelled, "What did you say?"

"I said, this car is really comfortable," the experienced driver Qin Sheng replied with a double meaning.

Han Bing didn't understand what he meant, but suddenly became very seductive as she leaned towards Qin Sheng and pursed her lips, "How does it feel?"

"Comfortable," Qin Sheng replied subconsciously.

When he came to his senses, Han Bing's claws were already reaching for his vital parts. Fortunately, Qin Sheng grabbed her hand in time, or he would have been castrated.

"D*mn it, what are you doing? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Qin Sheng was startled and demanded.

Han Bing gritted her teeth, "Don't be smart with me, and don't think I owe you anything just because you dealt with those two losers. Don't forget who you are."

Qin Sheng simply chose to be deaf. This rich beauty was like a chameleon, changing her face at the drop of a hat...

When Qin Sheng sent Han Bing back to Huarun Wantan Jiuli, Han Bing left him with the words, "Pick me up at seven tomorrow morning," and then went inside. Qin Sheng took a deep breath. The first day was finally over.

Only then did he realize that neither of them had eaten. Qin Sheng originally wanted to go out and buy something to eat and bring it over, but then he changed his mind. If the young miss threw it away again, wouldn't that be too embarrassing?

He went out and found a roadside restaurant where he ate a bowl of not-so-authentic oil-splashed noodles.

Qin Sheng decided to go see Han Shu again to find out who was targeting her. This was also related to how he would protect Han Bing.

In the Thomson Golf Villa, Han Ping stood on the balcony overlooking the distant golf course. There were still many people playing golf there. He used to swing a few clubs every night, but he had neither the time nor the mood recently.

"Mr. Han, Qin Sheng is here to see you," the old butler reported.

Han Ping frowned slightly and then ordered Qin Sheng to come in. Han Ping was quite interested in this young man. Asking him to come to Shanghai to find him was originally an unintentional move. He never expected Qin Sheng to actually call him. However, for someone whose background he didn't know much about, even if Han Ping valued him, he had to be cautious.

But he thought that Qin Sheng wouldn't be involved with his opponents. Just so happened that this kid was indeed skilled, so he let him go protect Han Bing first. After the storm passed, he would consider how to arrange for him.

"Qin Sheng, how are you doing? Is the young miss treating you well?" Han Ping returned to normal as soon as Qin Sheng came in.

"Mr. Han, it's okay. Miss Han is pretty good to me, she just has a bit of a temper," Qin Sheng replied with a smile.

Han Ping pulled Qin Sheng to sit down and asked, "What's up, is there something you want to ask me?"

"Mr. Han, someone did try to target Miss Han earlier, but they only sent two losers, it's not a big threat. But I'm worried that there will be more tricks later. I want to ask you something, and it's related to how I can protect Miss Han," Qin Sheng said truthfully.

Hearing that someone had attacked his daughter, Han Ping was nervous and asked, "Is Bing okay?"

"She's fine, she's already back to rest," Qin Sheng shook his head.

Han Ping sighed and said, "What do you want to know?"

Qin Sheng stared at Han Ping and asked meaningfully, "Who exactly are the foes?"
