Cordelia looked at his eyes that seemed to swallow her whole, her heart skipping a beat.

"Maybe Benedict has a point. Since you're getting married, you should live together."

Archibald quickly instructed the driver to go to Benedict's residence.

The car entered a luxurious villa, and Cordelia, stepping out, realized it was more like an estate, the yard the size of a football field.

Archibald led her inside, and the butler and servants approached. "Mr. Archibald, who is this?"

"This is Benedict's future wife. From today onwards, she'll be staying here. Take care of her the way you take care of Benedict."

Archibald instructed the staff before leaving, creating space for the new couple to spend time together.

Benedict, with his calm deep eyes, said, "Come upstairs with me."

"Is there something we can't discuss here?" Cordelia instinctively clutched the fabric over her chest.

Benedict approached, his handsome face darkening as he grabbed her arm, lifting her like a cat, and headed upstairs.

"What are you doing? Help!"

However, no matter how she screamed, no one came to help her.

Thrown onto the large bed, Cordelia curled up, staring with clear eyes, resembling a startled deer.

Benedict stood by the bed, looking down at her. "I won't marry you. Tomorrow, I'll arrange a fake marriage certificate to appease Grandpa."

A fake marriage wasn't legally recognized!

How would she inherit her mother's legacy?

Cordelia jumped off the bed. "No, we must get the certificate!"

The air became silent. In the gaze lock, the man's profound eyes were like a whirlpool, threatening to pull her in.

Unable to reveal her secret, Cordelia promised. "I can agree to sign a prenup. I won't take your money, and three months later, I can divorce you unconditionally."

Benedict frowned, finding this woman more mysterious than he thought.

He believed she wanted to marry for money, but it was evidently not the case. What was her motive?

Tilting her head, Cordelia provocatively asked, "What do you think? If you agree, we can get the certificate tomorrow?"

Benedict, with his imposing presence, made the air freeze.

"I won't marry you. Give up."

He finished speaking and left the room.

Cordelia immediately followed. "I've compromised on everything. I won't take your money, and as a woman, I'm not even concerned about divorce. What are you afraid of?"

Benedict ignored her, letting her follow him like a little kitten out of the doorway. As he prepared to get into the car, the door was blocked by a small figure.

"We haven't settled things yet. Where are you going?" Cordelia, with a flushed face, blocked the car door.

Benedict gazed at the woman's flushed face, his tall figure looming closer. "You're already taking on the role of my wife so quickly? Are you expecting a farewell kiss?" Benedict sneered.

Stunned slightly, Cordelia, hands covering her face, retreated. "Jerk!"

She was pushed away like a small cat. The sound of the car engine started, and only then did Cordelia realize she had been played by Benedict.

Watching the luxurious car drive away, Cordelia stomped her foot in frustration, her face puffed up. "Benedict, you'll regret making me angry!"
