Chapter 4 I WANT HER DEAD!

SUSAN'S POINT OF VIEW.

Surprise stole the air from my lungs, making breathing difficult as a sudden jolt of electricity ran through my veins leaving me momentarily stunned.

"No, no, no," I cried.

"This cannot be, I can't possibly be pregnant, not now," I muttered, shaking my head.

The pack doctor's assistant stared at me in confusion. I'm sure she is wondering why I'm not happy about the news. She knew I had always looked forward to this day.

To avoid more inquisitive stares, I began to walk slowly out of the clinic as I clutched my arms to my chest making sure the test result was hidden.

I made my way to the oak tree close to my new apartment, uncertain whether to inform Darcy, abort the child, or run away with the pregnancy.

I stood up rigidly with terror, overwhelmed by uncertainty as to what Darcy's response would be if I informed him. I headed to the main mansion to inform him of our unborn baby, but first I have to change my dress and look more appealing, maybe, just maybe I can get a second chance in his life.

Sighing and looking around at the same time as I hurried through the dimly lit hallway, my footsteps quiet on the cold floor.

My heart pounded as I approached the doorway, and I heard voices of a man and woman conversing in my room.

Pushed by curiosity, I swung the door open, and my eyes gawked in disbelief as I saw Jane and two of the zeta warriors standing in my room comfortably.

Jane stumbled back immediately our eyes met, her body recoiling as if struck by an invisible force, then her face contorted with a mix of disbelief and shock, and I stared at her as if waiting for an explanation.

"How are you still here?" surprise and disbelief evident in her voice.

I chuckled, narrowing my eyes, I stared at her intensely.

"Are you the inspiration behind last night's mission?" I asked with a firm tone, trying so hard to mask my fake confidence.

"I see you've grown some powers and audacity," she retorted sharply.

"You haven't answered my question, my dear murderer," I fired at her.

I watched as her lips twitched, forming a hard line, and her already large eyes grew into wider circles.

She moved close to where I was standing in the entrance, her mischievous intention already shown in her dry lips and fury eyes.

I stood still waiting for her next move when she grabbed me by my hair and dragged me out of the room, without any resistance I foolishly followed her, and the test result I was hiding fell from my armpit.

Her eyes fell on the white envelope on the ground and her suspicion tinge in her eyes.

"Jack, hold her," she ordered one of the warriors.

I tried stepping on the paper to pick it, and hide it when the thick muscled warrior seized me just like he was ordered.

My heart pounded as she opened the envelope, and her eyes stare in horror to the written content on the paper.

"Jack, excuse us," she said to the zeta warrior, and he let go of his grip over me and left immediately.

"The bastard barren is finally pregnant," she laughed mockingly.

"Don't think for a second that this news will change Darcy's decisions," her cracking voice flickered with fear, and jealousy made me smirk.

"Don't rejoice too soon because I will cut your joy short," with that, she punched my stomach so hard making me yelp in pain, and falling on the ground.

I endured the pain, rolling over, and stood up quickly, before she could reach me and pin me to the ground.

She ran towards me and I quickly dodged her uppercut and delivered a kick at her stomach.

She staggered backwards faintly but didn't fall to the ground.

"You bastard! I will kill you!" she groaned.

She drew another uppercut and I dodged it again and gave a blow on her chin. I watched as her eye and cheek turn red and tears pooled in her eyes.

Something flickered in her eyes, and the next minute, I was on the ground, she seized my neck, and strangled me with all the power in her, I heard her chuckling as I gasped for breath.

My wolf was angry and was threatening to come out, but I restrained her. I wasn't going to go bare in the presence of this demon I thought was a good sister.

I spat on her face, and she jerked up from my body out of irritation.

"How dare you?" she yelled.

"Your saliva is so disgusting," she continued to lament.

Having spat on her eyes directly, I knew her visions would be blurry for some minutes. I dragged her by her hair and hit her forehead on the wall, I smiled as she cried loudly, and the zeta warrior rushed inside.

"Don't you dare hurt my baby," I whispered to her ears before the zeta warrior reached where we were standing.

"Now, you two, that's enough," Jack said, separating us from each other's grip.

He stared at me blankly wondering what came over me, and how I was able to face my stepsister, and not shy away like I always did. He helped her clean the mixture of saliva, sweat, and blood on her face.

I ignored them and entered my room, I locked the door gently, and began packing my clothes.

I needed to run away as fast as I could before more havoc happened, but to where? I have nowhere to go and no one to meet.

"I want her dead," Jane shouted

"Kill her, or I kill her myself," I could hear Jane shouting at the zeta warrior from my room.

"Open this door, witch," she was yelling, and banging my door aggressively.

My heart raced in my chest. I couldn't dare to open my door. I would be killed if I did. The thought of escaping through the window crossed my mind, but I shoved it because I would easily get caught that way.

She had paid someone to kill me yesternight, and he raped me instead. She won't hesitate to do it herself.

I held my paper bag firmly when the door broke open and the zeta warrior pulled the trigger. The last thing I heard was the sound of a gunshot, after which I collapsed on the ground, and my eyes plunged out of my socket.
