Chapter 4 even years

dying her hair red since she was seventeen years old, she was already used to that color and could not imagine herself with any other hair color. She was inspired because she always loved her grandmother's hair, who was a natural redhead. - I've wanted to dye my hair this color, but I didn't have the courage. I think it will be difficult to give up my blonde. - Look, I find it difficult to abandon my redhead. I've had this hair color for many years and I've gotten used to it. - How many years? - It's been seven years, since I was seventeen, that I've been dying my hair this color.

- You're so beautiful that it's hard for me to even imagine you with any other hair color. Christopher wasn't paying much attention to the conversation, he kept his eyes on the street and was thoughtful. He felt anxious about having to meet Evelyn and her brother, but if he could postpone that meeting forever, he would. He never imagined that his brother and Evelyn's affair would work out and last so long, he swore she would put horns on Andrew and he could laugh in his brother's face. But, that's not what happened. When they stopped in front of the huge mansion, Melanie's mouth dropped open. That house was ten of yours. He was already starting to feel like a duckling out of the pond, and thinking that this would last a month was even more agonizing. When they got out of the car and grabbed their bags, they went to the front door and Ashley opened the door shouting for Alexandra. - Mommy! Christopher has arrived! Alexandra quickly appeared running excitedly towards her son, jumping on his neck and hugging him tightly. Melanie smiled, seeing tears in the blonde woman's eyes. She couldn't imagine how much she was missing her son. - Hello, Melanie! You have no idea how happy I am that you are here! - She smiled and hugged the redhead who smiled. - I'm very happy to meet you too, Miss Alexandra. - Oh no! Not Dona Alexandra! You can call me Alexandra, Ale, mother-in-law or mother-in-law, but not Dona Alexandra, I feel old. - She laughed and the redhead agreed, smiling and feeling her cheeks burn. Shyness was something that if Melanie could, she would change. She hated being shy and blushing at everything. - Victor is traveling and will arrive tomorrow, he will be very happy to meet you! - Ale said excitedly. - I'll take the bags upstairs, I'll be right back. - Christopher said and went up with the two suitcases they had taken. Minutes later, he came back and Melanie was talking to Ashley about random topics. He approached Melanie and hugged her, at the same moment the door to the room opened and a blonde girl entered accompanied by a guy who looked very similar to Christopher. She was definitely Andrew and Evelyn, and she was even more sure when she felt Christopher's body tense. Even she was, the girl was beautiful and if she wanted Christopher back, she would definitely just need to snap her fingers. And even though it wasn't her family, she didn't want to be the one betrayed in the story. - Hello, Christopher. How much time! - Andrew said smiling. - Hello, Andrew. - Unlike his brother, Christopher wasn't smiling - Hello, Evelyn. The blonde with green eyes smiled and Melanie felt like nothing next to the girl, who besides being tall was beautiful, in her eyes. She shrugged her shoulders and took a deep breath. - Hello, Christopher. - Her eyes fell on the redhead next to him - Hello...? - She asked. -Melanie. - My wife - Christopher added and Melanie couldn't help but notice how surprised Evelyn was. - Hello, Melanie - she smiled and went to the redhead, greeting her with two kisses. Then, Andrew also approached and kissed the girl's hand, who noticed the disapproving look that Christopher gave. Of course they should provoke each other. - Nice to meet you, Melanie. I'm Andrew. - She smiled. - Nice to meet you - Melanie replied with a yellow smile. She didn't want to have problems with her "husband", she was still walking on eggshells and didn't know how to act. Ashley and Alexandra watched everything without saying anything. They were most likely afraid of what would happen with this reunion. Melanie understood, because even though she had only recently known about the situation, she had it too. - Sorry, But I'm a little sick from the trip. - Melanie started to say and Christopher interrupted her. - Do you want to go to bed, love? - Yes please. - Rest, Mel. Later I'll call you for dinner. - Alexandra said and the redhead just nodded smiling. Christopher put his hand on the redhead's shoulders and they went upstairs. - We will sleep together - He whispered and she froze. Melanie hadn't thought about that part, or tried not to. He directed her to the room they would stay in and as soon as he opened the door, she realized it was his room. The bed was gigantic and she was grateful for that, he closed the door and turned to her. - I know it's not a comfortable situation, but it would be strange if we slept in separate rooms. The bed is big, enough for both of us. Are you just feeling nauseous? - Yes, I think it was the travel and nervousness. - Lie down and get some sleep. I'll stay here with you. - No need, thank you - she smiled - You'll miss your family. I'm not hungry and I'd rather not have dinner. - All good. I'd rather not be around while Andrew and Evelyn are here. - I understand. Melanie took her suitcase and placed it on the bed, opened it and took out some comfortable pajamas. She had bought two more "decent" pajamas to wear, and now she thanked God she had bought them. She went to the bathroom in her room and changed. When she left, Christopher was lying shirtless on the bed, covered from the waist down, with his arm covering his eyes. A lump formed in the girl's throat and she couldn't help but pay attention to his body. She quickly shook off those thoughts and lay down next to him on the bed, covered herself completely and turned to the side so as not to look at him. Within minutes, she fell asleep. Chapter Three Christopher woke up feeling something in her arms and when he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see Melanie cuddled in his arms, sleeping peacefully. He brushed aside some strands of hair that were falling on her face and very carefully freed himself from the redhead to get up. If she woke up and realized how they were, she would die of shame, he knew that. He got up, put on a shirt and left the room. He went down to the kitchen and when he arrived in the room, he instantly regretted making Evelyn an omelet. He even thought about leaving, but she noticed his presence and turned around. - Hello, Christopher. Good morning! - He said, smiling. - Good morning - he replied, dryly - I thought you and my brother were living together. - And we are, but he ended up drinking too much yesterday and I didn't let him take the car. - I understood. Christopher shrugged. He grabbed some toast, buttered it, placed it on a plate, then grabbed a glass and poured orange juice into it. - Chris - Evelyn said and sighed - I think we should talk... about that day. - I'm sorry, Evelyn, but I have nothing to talk about. I'm going to go upstairs and bring my wife breakfast. Excuse me. He turned and left as quickly as he could, almost spilling the juice that was in her hand. Christopher would avoid her as much as he could, as he
