"Your papa agrees. Find a replacement bride. Hurry, Dion! There's no more time." Yuni insisted her son find a replacement bride.
Dion finally remembered the woman he had slept with last night. He went back to the hotel and, reluctantly; he chose her as his replacement bride.
Arriving there. Dion looks for Fanny's whereabouts, hoping that she is still there.
As the sun rises, the sun rises. Fanny found Dion. The man then approached him with a flat face.
"Marry me. But, don't be happy yet. You'll only be a replacement bride! And one more thing. Don't expect love from me, because it will never happen!"
Fanny stared fixedly at the man's face. "Then, should I accept it happily?"
"What do you mean, talking like that?"
Fanny looked flatly at the man's face. "Why choose responsibility? You yourself said you would get married in five days. Why marry me?" asked Fanny, asking Dion for a reason suddenly even in just a matter of hours the man had returned and wanted to marry her.
"The wedding was canceled," he said honestly, while holding back his embarrassment.
Fanny smiled wryly. She wanted to tease the man. However, she didn't dare because Dion had full power there.
"Don't refuse, let alone disobey! I've been kind enough to want to take responsibility and marry you," he said ridiculously.
Fanny didn't know what else to answer. Really, the man always spoke highly and made her want to knock him down.
"It's your own fault. Why do you look angry like this at me? You are the weirdest man on earth, Dion!"
The man waved his hand. He didn't want to listen to all the babbling from her mouth.
"Come to my house right now. Mama won't look at your background. She just wants to find a replacement bride!" he said and pulled her away.
Took her into the car and immediately drove the car to his parents' residence.
Arriving home, Dion again pulled her hand and entered his house. Introducing Fanny to her parents.
"This is the woman who will be your replacement bride?" asked Yuni, as she pointed to Fanny.
Dion nodded his head as he glanced at Fanny, who was standing next to him. "Yes, Ma. Her name is Fanny. An employee at our hotel."
Yuni nodded slowly. "Alright. She's pretty and seems nice. Where are your parents, Fanny? I want to talk to your parents."
"I have no family, ma'am," she replied briefly. "I've been an orphan since I was in junior high school," she explained.
"That's good. At least we don't have to get to know you further. In five days, we will have the wedding. You stay in this house. Let Dion come out and live in his apartment."
Yuni extended her hand to the woman. "My name is Yuni. And this is my husband, your future father-in-law. His name is Herman."
The man smiled at her. "Thank you for being Dion's wife. We will love you with all our hearts. Don't be afraid. Think of it as your real parents."
Fanny smiled softly at Herman's gentle words. "Thank you, sir."
"Come here after you get married, Fanny. Because after marriage, you will not live here. There is a house that has been provided and it will certainly make you comfortable living there," Yuni told her.
Fanny smiled softly again. 'How can I be comfortable when I'm living with a crazy man who doesn't know what he's getting himself into?'
'If it wasn't for the fear of the seed growing, how would I want to ... marry an arrogant man like him? Arrogant, shameless!'
Fanny sighed softly after being satisfied with cursing Dion, even if only in her heart.
**
Five days passed.
The wedding really happened. Fanny had legally become Dion's wife, even though she was only a substitute bride. Just to make her parents happy because the wedding didn't need to be canceled.
"You should be the one sitting here," he said quietly while looking at Citra's face on his cell phone.
Dion did not consider Fanny, who looked so beautiful. All this time, Dion had only been staring at his lover, who he could not make his wife. In fact, the woman had gone abroad to treat her illness.
"Congratulations, ma'am. Finally, his son got married too. His wife is exquisite, ma'am." One of Yuni's friends congratulated them. Then he shook hands with Fanny and Dion.
"Never show victory because in the end I have to take responsibility!" Dion said as he looked flatly at Fanny.
However, he could not deny that she was indeed beautiful. Dion then looked away because he didn't want to see her face.
"I never expected more from this marriage. Don't worry!" he said harshly.
Dion looked back sarcastically at Fanny, who was now his wife. "Even though you're beautiful, that doesn't mean I'm going to melt and change Citra's place in my heart."
Really, the woman wanted to laugh at Dion, who said so confidently. However, all Fanny could do at the moment was stare flatly at the man's face and then sit on the chair.
The wedding reception there was so luxurious and lively. The wedding was like any other wedding. With a bride and groom who love each other. In fact, what actually happened was the opposite.
The time was ten o'clock at night. That very second, Dion and Fanny went to live in their new home. A wedding gift from their brother-Satya, who could not attend the wedding because he was abroad.
"This is my room, and this is yours! Only when my parents are around, we share a room. Remember, Fanny. Don't expect more, let alone expect love from me!"
