The morning light shines on Vida's face, she grumbles half awake, turn her head to the other side.

" Miss, you have to wake up. You are going to be late for school" The old maid in Vida room said, and pull the bedsheet off her.

" No, just give me a few minutes. Please" She tried negotiating more like a pled.

" No Miss, your mom require you to stand up immediately"

" Ok" She said almost with tears and raise up.

" Good Morning, Mrs Dwayne" She greets and rubbed her face.

" Morning to you too, My Miss" She replied making Vida smile.

" You should prepare for school, you are going to be late"

" I understand ma, I will bath after a short prayer"

" You are such a good girl" Mrs Dwayne smiled, patting her hair.

" See you downstairs in a few minutes then" She added, then exits.

She stood up from her bed, dressed her and changed her bedsheet.

After this, she got on knees and prayed. That is just her way of life, that was what she was taught in the orphan house.

Being close to God, giving out love, and you shall be blessed, love don't hate, even if you are been treated wrong, show no hatred, that way you be the closest to the father in heaven.

That was what she was taught, and that has been her way of life since eight.

Vida is what any wild people will classify as boring and dumb, not the fun type. Well, that is just the truth, she doesn't know how to socialize and if you do get closer to her, her Godly way will make one a bit frustrated.

She is beautiful, academically smart but way too innocent, she is just like a little baby. A fragile egg, Mrs Dwayne will always call her a baby that need to be care for even though she will be an adult in just two months.

" Miss Vida, are you not done" Mrs Dwayne asked out the room.

Vida opened the door, dressed in her school uniform, looking like a princess.

A Princess, whenever she thought of that words it amazed her how times flies. She was a wretched girl, abandoned by her mom, then took in by her orphanage mother who catered for her and the other kids in the orphanage house as well, and a year ago she got adopted by Mrs Cohen, who has been taking care of her as her own child.

She loves and adored her, she replaced the one thing she wants most in her life.

Motherly love.

Both her and Mrs Dwayne.

" You look beautiful, Miss"

" Thank you, Ma" She giggled. "Breakfast is ready" Mrs Dwayne informed her as they both walked to the dinner table.

Vida greeted the maids serving her food.

" Where is Mrs Cohen?" She asked, referring to her adopted mom who was present in the dinning table. She isn't used to calling her mom yet.

" You didn't know" A maid called Veronica butts in.

" What?"

" Mrs Cohen, has been in her room since morning. Worried and paranoid"

" Why?"

" Your brother is coming back"

" Brother?" She once heard from Mrs Cohen that she had a son, but she was never told he will come back.

Talking about him makes her kind of scared, will he like her or see her as a sister. What if he hates her? She has heard about him, and he is kind of rude and arrogant.

But then again, she has been told not to judge people without observing or seeing the person.

" When is he coming?" Vida asked.

" Today, I heard he is on his way right now"

" What?" Vida exclaimed shocked. "He is coming back that soon?"

She wondered what he will think of her when she saw her, what will be his impression?

" Don't you know? I guess you and Mrs Cohen aren't really close" Veronica mocked.

" That is ok, Miss Veronica. You should continue your work" Mrs Dwayne ordered.

Veronica bowed and left them.

" Mrs Dwayne, what should I do? Do you think he will like me? Shouldn't I get him a present?"

" Calm down, Miss Vida. Am sure he will like you, you are his sister after all"

" Adopted" Vida corrected her, nervous.

" Just calm down, be yourself. You can buy him anything, am sure he will love it" Mrs Dwayne assured with a smile.

" Are you sure?" Vida asked and she nod.

" Ok, a book with do it then" She smiled, settled down for breakfast.

Mrs Dwayne twitched her lips, she was glad she is able to calm Vida down. She actually pity her, because she knows a war is about to start.

The moment, Master Leonard comes. She pity the poor innocent girl, will she be able to stay or will she leave? She could feel the storm.

At The Airport

Leonard smirked relief, happy that he has finally landed. His heart pumping in excitement, and anxiety.

It been many years since he has been here, that he stopped keeping count. What enlightened him more is that he get to see her.

The mother who abandon him, but not once has he abandon her. He loves her more or less.

He looked around, eyeing for anyone with his name in his or her hand but he found none. He chuckled "She is probably not expecting him to come back right?"

" He is so handsome" He could hear some girls saying. Is he a celebrity?" Another asked making him smile.

" Master Leonard Cohen" he heard behind him and he turned back.

" Who are you?"

" Your mother sent me to pick you up" The Man said and bowed.

He felt bad of thinking she didn't send anyone to pick him up, but he shoved the thought away.

" Where is the car?" He asked.

" Come with me" The Man collected his luggage from him, and lead him to the car.

He put his luggage in the boot, while Leonard entered the passenger seat.

The man also entered, and he start the car to the Cohen's house.

A huge smirk displayed on Leonard's face as the man rode the car. " Can't wait to see you my dear mother."
