Chapter 5 5

SAVANNAH

I'M STILL SITTING here on the coach in Gab's office. He didn't let me go because he said they might attack again and hurt Paloma.

"I'm leaving.", I insisted.

"No." He said without even looking up at me.

I want to leave because I will give the money to my brother. I will just give him what I have saved and he will save again for me.

Maybe this is just right for him.

"But, Gab." I insisted again.

"Why are you in such a hurry to leave?, I said let's go home together so sit there first and wait for me to finish what I'm doing here." he said in tough English.

"I still have somewhere to go." I still try.

"And where are you going? Tell me." Now he raised his head and looked at me.

I looked at his lips, he wasn't wearing his mask so I could see his face.

Suddenly, what happened earlier came back to my mind, which is why my face turned red and I immediately looked away.

"I'm just going to make some money at the mall, I'll be right back." I said.

I heard his deep breath then put his hand on the table and spoke.

"Fine, then take my bodyguards with you and to find out if you are okay and nothing bad will happen to you." He said.

I looked at him.

It's not possible, maybe if he finds out that my brother is the one who will earn my money, he will insist on giving him money. I don't want that to happen.

"I-I'll just take a taxi." I said then stood up and fixed my clothes.

"Is there a problem?" He asked.

"There's no problem, so please don't insist on bringing your bodyguards. I can take care of myself and I always carry the stun pen you gave me." I said and showed it.

I knew he was doubtful but I made sure he wouldn't break me.

"Is that so? Okay then you can go. Just go home before 6pm." Reminder of this.

I smiled at him then nodded.

"I'll text you when I get home." I said and he nodded then he went back to his desk to finish what he was doing.

I left his office then went to my desk to arrange the things and after leaving.

"Oh? You're going home, isn't your wife coming with you?" Arya asked in a loud voice.

"He'll be home later and I've got somewhere else to go, I'm leaving Arya!" I then said that I left the building and took a taxi to the address my brother gave me.

I was tightly holding the bag I was carrying with my cellphone when it rang.

"Hello?" I answered the call.

"I'm here, where are you?" He asked.

"I'm on my way brother." I said.

"Hurry up! I don't want to be kept waiting." He says.

"Yes." I said.

The call was cut, so I looked closely at the address in my message from my brother.

I don't know but I prefer to go home but I feel sorry for my brother, I owe him a lot because he also helped me get rid of manila.

My phone vibrated so I looked at it.

Message from Gab.

"Text me when you get there." I read

I never replied to it. My hunch is really bad.

I turned on the location on my phone so that if anything happens to me, Gab will locate my location.

"We're here ma'am." said the taxi driver who just now noticed that we were here.

It was a bit far from Gab's company building and it was getting late because it was five o'clock when I left there.

I gave the payment to the taxi driver then got off.

The abandoned building revealed itself to me, standing in the distance was my older brother with tattoos all over his body.

"It's good that you came. Where is my money?" He asked immediately.

I handed him an envelope worth 50k that I only saved in my few months at Gab's company.

"Fifty thousand? I'll take it? Where is your heavy husband? Didn't I tell you to bring him here when I collected your debt?!" He shouted angrily then pulled my hair.

I grabbed his hand to remove it.

His pulling was so painful that I felt like my hair would be separated from my head.

"Brother it hurts!" I said.

"You p*ta! You're really stubborn! Call that your wife now and give me the ten million I'm asking for!" He shouted in my ear.

I closed my eyes when he slapped me.

"You really are a woman! You haven't done anything sensible!" He screamed and let go of my hair then pushed me hard causing me to sit on the floor with pain in my ass but I didn't care.

I looked for the stun pen in the bag on my shoulder but it wasn't there.

"Is this what you're looking for? What? Are you planning to use it against me? Stupid! You idiot! I wish you didn't promise you did nothing but be a queen! Be a princess!" He shouted and threw the stun pen far away.

I have run out of hope to escape and my cellphone is missing.

I looked around and looked for my brother's foot and when he saw me looking at it, he immediately stepped on it because it was broken.

"Brother! Why are you doing this?!" I shouted here.

I don't want to answer my brother to everyone, but if he does the same to me, I will put it aside for now.

"You're still asking? Ask yourself why! G*go!" He shouted.

He came to me and pulled my hair.

"Brother, please, it's okay! It hurts, brother!" I screamed while trying to hold his hand out of my hair.

"What? Does it hurt? Hah! While you've been enjoying being rich for the past few months? Did you think about me! Did you think about your nephew who just died because of the disease?!" He shouted.

"I-I don't know." I said bowing.

He slapped me then lifted my face and held my jaw tightly.

"You have no heart!" He says.

In the months that I received his call, I did not answer it because I thought he would force me to give him money.

"Your nephew died because he wasn't operated on because I don't have anything! I don't have any money so I'm going to beg!" He shouted, he let go of my hair and sat down in front of me.

"K-brother.." I called while crying.

Tina, my niece died without any help from me.

I blame myself because if I had known earlier, maybe Tina would still be alive today.

"Just leave Savannah, you're making my head hot." he said while bending down.

I saw his shoulders rise and fall as a sign that he was crying.

Yes, he is a badass and has many vices, but he does not neglect his son who was left by his mother because she could not take care of their son.

Tina was left with her brother and Tina's mother looked for a new husband. I'm so mad at him! She is a useless mother.

Yes, and when my brother was beaten by my ex-boyfriends, but I never saw him raise his hand to Tina. She loves my niece so much that I want to blame myself because if I had answered her call, maybe Tina would have been treated and operated on.

Because Tina has cancer, leukemia stage 3 I also forgot about that because I was also busy saving money to give to my brother.

I was surprised when Kuya suddenly collapsed on the floor while Gabriel was laying on top of him?

"Gabriel! Don't!" I shouted and forced myself to stand up to separate them.

Gabriel punched his brother repeatedly in the face but he didn't fight back.

I hugged Gabriel around the waist and tried to pull him away from Kuya.

"That's right please..." I said.

"I told you not to get near my wife didn't I?!" He shouted and pointed at Kuya.

"Are you his wife? You're lucky to be married." Kuya said then stood up and patted his clothes then walked away.

"I wish your conscience would visit you!" That was the last thing he said before it disappeared from our side.

I cried because he said that. I really have a wedding, I was so stupid why did I forget that Tina was sick.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

I just nodded at him then left.

"Let's go home." I said and took my bag from the floor along with my broken cell phone.

I didn't ask him why he knew my location when my cellphone was broken.

I felt him put the coat that I was wearing on top of me as he guided me to his car.

"I'll file a case against your brother so he won't hurt you again." He said.

"Don't bother. Don't interfere, it's our problem so I'll fix it, get out of here." I said coldly.

I don't know where that cold voice of mine came from.

I could feel his gaze but I didn't look at him.

I just closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Today is too painful for me.
