Chapter 2 Chapter 2 Trent Is Capable

Trent beat Rosanna to it and strode to the sofa.

He gently lifted the girl's eyelids and found that her eyes were bloodshot. He immediately realized that she was poisoned, and it was a special poison no less.

"What are you doing? Get lost, you scumbag!"

Rosanna did not know that Trent was treating her daughter. Seeing him touching Katherine's face, she immediately became angry and slapped the back of Trent's head.

"Thwack!"

Then Trent was pushed to the ground.

"Trent!"

Abert quickly walked to Trent and pulled a long face. "Rosanna, you've gone too far. What right do you have to hit him?"

"So what if I hit him? Didn't you see that this scum brother of yours was getting handsy on Kathy? Kathy has fainted! Instead of calling the ambulance, you are here scolding me? Abert, what's wrong with you?"

Rosanna became even more of a shrew. She turned her head and pointed at Abert's head with another hand on her hip as she cursed.

It sounded like she always talked to Abert in such a tone.

Abert clenched his fists. He wanted to snap, but Trent waved his hand, rubbed the back of his head, and said with a smile, "It's fine, Abert."

Then Trent said to Rosanna, "Rosanna, I am treating her. Kathy is showing signs of poisoning and must be treated immediately. I can force the poison out of her system with special treatment. Can you find a quiet place for me?

"You?"

Rosanna sized up Trent condescendingly. Looking at his tattered clothes, she didn't believe in him at all.

"Give me a break. Go find a mirror and look at yourself. You are just a scumbag who got released. What the heck do you know about medical skills? I don't want you to make things worse for Kathy. Abert, what are you waiting for? Call the ambulance!"

"No. It's too late now. She'll be dead when the ambulance arrives," Trent said nervously as he took out the special tools that he carried with him from his backpack.

As the last disciple of the medical master in America who enjoyed the highest courtesies, Trent could deduce the patient's condition by looking at the complexion.

Time was of the essence.

"Don't jinx it! Another word, and I'll tear your mouth into pieces! Piss off..."

"Rosanna, look... Kathy... Kathy's face..."

Just as Rosanna was about to chase Trent out of the villa, Abert pointed at Katherine's face in a panic.

Rosanna and Trent followed his finger and looked over.

Katherine was on the sofa. Her face took on a strange purple hue as if she were choking. The color spread from the base of the neck to the forehead, which was horrifying.

"Shit!"

Trent was shocked.

Trent didn't think too much. Katherine was his niece, and she was innocent, no matter how Rosanna treated him.

Trent was a doctor, and his priority was always his patient's life.

He hurriedly knelt on both knees in front of the sofa, flipped Katherine flat on the sofa, and unbuttoned her shirt.

"Kathy! Trent, you asshole! What are you doing? Get away from her!"

Rosanna reached out to hit him again, but in the next second, Trent turned his head and shouted anxiously.

"Shut up! If you don't want Kathy to suffocate, shut up!"

His voice was loud and clear, full of dominance.

In an instant, Rosanna's entire body shook, as if she was facing a lone wolf, and she was immediately stunned on the spot.

"Rosanna, let him give it a go. Since he said so, I believe that he must have a way. Kathy is like this already. Calling an ambulance will be too late."

Abert quickly persuaded Rosanna. He knew Trent well. Trent would not do something that he was not sure of.

"You... You..."

Facing Trent and Abert, Rosanna was so angry that she couldn't utter a word. After a few seconds, she said fiercely, "Abert, good for you. I'm warning you. If anything happens to Kathy, I will make sure that both you and your brother go to jail and rot in prison for the rest of your lives!"

"No need. If anything happens to Kathy, I will repay it with my life."

After Trent replied with a firm tone, he immediately picked up his special tools, shook them a few times on a lighted alcohol lamp, and applied them on Katherine's chest.

He was using special tools to force the poison out of her system.

Trent held his breath and continued to treat Katherine. Then he focused intently, and a force flowed from his fingers into Katherine's body via the special tools.

It was easy peasy for Trent, who had already reached the late stage of Internal Force.

He just hoped that Katherine could withstand such a force.

"Can you do it? Is it working? If you can't, stop wasting our time! I'll call the ambulance now!" Rosanna urged.

Just as she finished speaking, Katherine suddenly opened her eyes.

"She is awake. She is awake!" Abert was overjoyed.

"Get me a basin now!"

Trent shouted.

"I'll go." Abert ran to the kitchen and took a basin.

When he returned to the sofa, he saw Trent placing Katherine on his thigh. "Kathy, be good. After I remove the tools from your body, vomit as much as you can. Do you understand?"

Katherine nodded.

Then Trent placed the basin in front of Katherine and removed the tools from her body so quickly that his hands were like lightning.

"Ugh..."

The moment the tools were removed, Katherine felt a strong surge of nausea.

She spat out a few mouthfuls of black blood.

The blood was mixed with some half-digested food, which even smelled of decay and was a frightening purplish black.

Katherine vomited for about three minutes.

Then she finally looked normal.

Trent was very good at medical skills.

Rosanna failed to react for a second. The way she looked at Trent changed immediately.

"Mommy... Mommy..."

Katherine cried and wanted a hug from Rosanna.

"Be good. I'm here," Rosanna took Katherine from Trent and quickly comforted her.

Katherine was fine. Seeing that, Rosanna somehow became a lot less angry.

"See? Rosanna, Trent is capable, right?" Abert wiped the cold sweat off his forehead and asked eagerly.

Rosanna tended to be arrogant, and of course, she wouldn't admit it easily.

However, Trent had indeed saved Katherine's life. Yet she was still too embarrassed to thank him.

"So what if he is capable? He can't stay here, since he is with loose morals."

"What..."

Trent had already expected her reaction. He smiled and said, "It's fine, Abert. Since Rosanna doesn't want me here, I might as well go somewhere else. Luckily, I've got some friends. I will go to them."

"Trent..." Abert felt a pain in his heart.

Trent did not say anything more. He turned around and picked up his luggage. Just as he was about to leave the villa, Rosanna's voice came from behind him.

"Wait. I said that you couldn't stay here, but I didn't kick you out. After all, your brother is my family's live-in son-in-law. If outsiders know that the Lennard family kicks out the brother of their live-in son-in-law, it would be bad for my family's reputation.

"By the way, Abert, I remember that there is a vacancy for a cleaner in the Logistics Department of the group. Take him there and get him onboard. The group has dormitories for employees. He can stay there."

Rosanna said arrogantly and domineeringly.

Abert looked happy. "Great! The staff dormitories of the group are quite well decorated. Trent, I'll take you to the group."
