Chapter 4 4

Meisha's POV.

As I continued to walk, my eyes turned around. Very beautiful. It seems that only rich people live here.

Our house is not like this.

When I got to the end, one of my eyebrows immediately raised. Finally. After falling a few times on the road, I also went to CR.

After I really take a shower, I will eat a lot.

When I entered the CR. I immediately locked the door and put the clothes on a clothesline. I even looked at a basket where there were clothes.

Based on the clothes here, it looks like they still live here.

I just shrugged my shoulders and removed the cloths from my wound one by one. While removing it, I remember what happened to me.

All of them, witnesses of my suffering. I stopped for a moment before looking in the mirror. My face is not that dirty, but my hair is very frizzy.

Fortunately, my hair is short so it won't be difficult for me to fix it. I took a deep breath before grimacing and was about to remove the rest of the cloth, when my side suddenly tingled again.

What the hell? What's going on here?

Because I was curious, I immediately took off my clothes before looking to my side. That's when I saw something that gave me a fright.

A-my side... b-why is this? I sat on the floor shaking before covering my mouth. Impossible.

How did it go? When did it start?

My side... little by little the skin is cracking. Is that why I feel pain? Will I be like Ate Mika?

"I-I can't..." I said trembling as I looked at my side.

I can't be a monster. I don't want to be like them. I do not want!

I immediately stopped when I heard a knock on the door. "Meisha? Are you here?" S-Seia?

It's not possible. He can't see my body like this.

"Mei-" I immediately stood up and turned on the shower causing Seia to stop.

"W-why, Seia? Do you need anything?" I asked immediately.

"Ah.. nothing. Maybe it's because you had a hard time getting here. By the way, I brought some food to your room." He said more. "And if you're done eating, go straight to the living room. We're all waiting there."

"S-alright!" when I agree with what it said.

After that, I didn't hear another word. That's why I immediately looked to my side. It's still small, maybe I can stop it.

I don't want them to throw me away and leave me alone. I don't want to experience that hell again alone.

I know I'm very selfish but I just want to live.

I felt a liquid drip down my cheek causing me to touch it. When was the last time I cried?

I was just dumbfounded thinking about everything that happened. I don't know how many more hours I will be like that until I decide to take a shower.

Meisha's POV

And after that, I immediately went to the room where I stayed and treated all my wounds there. I also covered the crack on my side with the cloth to make it look like I was injured there.

After that, I ate right away. There are many set fruits on the tray. I'm sure they gave it to me so that I could slowly recover.

I took a deep breath before focusing on the food again. I need to finish here soon so I can meet the people who saved me.

I was just going to the living room, I immediately heard their noises. I just finished eating so my body has strength again. I almost ate all the fruit because I was so hungry.

"Why did he take so long to come down?" I heard someone say. It's a male voice.

It didn't sound like Finn's voice, meaning it wasn't the only man living here. That's better and at least it will calm my heart a little because someone will save us.

"It's going down too, don't worry." Seiya.

I guess. I need to show them. I don't like being talked about face to face.

I immediately stopped when a man suddenly looked at me. His face seems familiar to me. Have we met before?

"Hey chicks-Aray!" I was surprised when a man suddenly screamed.

They say chicks. I wouldn't be told this if I wasn't dressed like this. Wearing a crop top and denim shorts. Thank you

"Meisha." Seia approached me and faced his companions, "These are the ones I call my friends. Of course you already know Finn there." Seia said causing me to look at Finn, he just smiled at me.

"This is Peter, the one who called you chicks. I hope you don't get along with him. This is Cindy, the daughter of the owner of this house and one of the people who saw you on the road."

I immediately looked at that girl before smiling widely, "Thank you!" I said sincerely to him.

He immediately smiled, "Your welcome."

So kind.

I stopped in my thoughts when Seia suddenly opened her mouth, it even gave Cindy a strange look that made me wonder. Why does something seem wrong?

"This is Kloe and Kael. If you notice, they both have a resemblance because they are twins. And Kael also brought you here." Seia said to me.

If I look closely, it is obvious that they are twins. But the behavior of the two seems to be different.

"Thank you too, Kael." I said. It just nodded smiling at me.

Now that I know them all. I realized that they really get along. I also did not expect that there were so many of them.

Maybe it's because I've been alone on the road for a few days, so it's like I'm new to them.

"Yes, how are your wounds?" Cindy asked me.

I suddenly remembered the cracks on my side, which made me nervous.

What if someone suddenly asks them why my side is smaller? I'm sure they will want to see that.

"I-I think they're getting better slowly." I said.

Cindy's mouth fell open before nodding. After that, I just became quiet. They all laughed, while I just listened to them silently.

I still feel like I don't belong to them. That's right. In my current situation, I can't get close to them.

I grabbed my side. If I can't stop it, I'll walk away from them myself just so they don't get hurt.

Seia's POV

"Mei, what's your favorite color??" Peter asked curiously.

Meisha immediately thought. No way, don't tell me he doesn't know what his favorite is yet?

"Ah.. anything?" Meisha raised both of her eyebrows at the same time.

My mouth dropped slightly before shaking my head and just read the book again. Meisha is getting a little comfortable with us because of Peter.

Well, Peter is really known for being friendly.

But.. that's not really what I'm thinking. What I'm thinking about until now is Meisha's reaction earlier in the room. How he looked at me badly.

I feel like something is wrong. I don't know what it is. I don't even know if what I saw earlier was just my imagination or not.

I sighed and leaned my head next to me. I felt that it caressed my hair causing my thoughts to disappear immediately.

"Do you have a problem?" I heard Finn ask.

I just shook my head, "Nothing. I want to rest." I said before closing my eyes.

I can't tell Finn what I'm thinking. Because if they find out, Meisha might get hurt and it might even be my fault.

I have to be careful with the words I say to Cindy. I held my breath.

What is happening around me? It's like we're trapped in a nest of demons, or rather, hell.

"I have a question, Finn." I heard Meisha call Finn. "Are you two really just friends with Seia or are you dating?"

I quickly opened my eyes and automatically sat up straight. My mouth dropped slightly as I gave Meisha a disbelieving look.

"What kind of question is that, Mei? Of course they're friends, right?" replied Peter.

I secretly looked at Finn while waiting for his answer. I don't know but I want to hear his answer.

What are we?

"Yeah, Seia is just my friend." Both of my shoulders seemed to drop before looking at Meisha and smiling with a nod.

That's right. Just friends.

"But why did you ask that, Meisha? Why are you interested in Finn?" Kloe raised an eyebrow as she asked this.

Meisha immediately raised both eyebrows and quickly shook her head, "No! I noticed that they seem to have a strong relationship, so that's it." His defense.

I held my mouth and laughed softly. Suddenly I remembered our old friend from him.

"Ahm, I have one more question." Meisha said again.

Am I the only one who notices or is he really talkative? Based on his appearance, he seems like a quiet person or maybe it's just because he immediately became comfortable with us.

"The rock– I mean, the mysterious green-colored rock. Did anyone notice that?"

Mysterious stone? Is he talking about the gemstone?

"You mean, this?" Kael replied immediately before showing the gemstone he was holding.

Meisha immediately breathed a sigh of relief and was about to take the gemstone from Kael when he suddenly pushed her away. I quickly frowned.

"Ahm.. can it be mine?" said Meisha.

"Not allowed." Kael answered immediately before hiding it in his pocket again.

I noticed that Meisha was holding his side, which made me even more surprised. But when I noticed his eyes, that's when I confirmed that he was suffering from an illness.

"Kael, just give it to him." I ordered causing it to look at me before sighing.

He turned his gaze to Meisha, "Before that, what is it for? Why are you carrying this?" he asked.

Meisha immediately fell silent. He also looked at Kael seriously.

"That came from my sister, I didn't know that my roommate was a monster because if you look at his appearance. He just seems normal. He attacked me in that house but I killed him immediately and that's what came out of his body." Meisha's explanation.

If so, he also saw that his sister had become a monster.

I just looked at Kael. At first, he just stared at her until she willingly gave in and gave him the gemstone.

"But why do you want to take that? Do you know the purpose of that gemstone?" asked Cindy.

Meisha immediately shook her head, "Actually, I don't know what the purpose of this gemstone really is. All I know is that it came from Ate's body."

Cindy immediately nodded before refocusing on reading. Meisha sat down again before putting the gemstone in her pocket.

"The real purpose of the gemstone is to give a warning." Finn said causing us all to look at him. "That gemstone only lights up when a monster is near its place. So when it becomes clear, all you have to do is hide or leave that place."

We have two gemstones that we brought here and that is what we are doing as a warning. Sometimes, we carry one when we leave just to make sure we are safe.

I looked at Meisha when I noticed that she seemed confused. Could it be because of the aftershock? I want to approach him but it might just happen again.

I don't want to see her look like she's going to kill someone again.
