Chapter 2 Mate

I shook my head, trying to resist the urge to turn towards the source of the voice. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fight it. I closed my eyes again, determined to finish what I started. I needed to focus, and no one should distract me.

As I felt a hot gaze on my skin, I couldn't help but bite my lips. It was different this time, more intense. I couldn't ignore the fire that seemed to be burning inside me.

What was happening?

My own body betrayed me, and I almost gasped in surprise. It felt like someone else's warm hand was holding me, making me crave something I couldn't quite put into words.

The whole place fell silent as if a terrible presence had passed by. I couldn't even hear a single scream anymore. But why?

My fingers started to itch as if they were desperate to do something. But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fulfill that desire.

I used to think there was nothing wrong with me, that I was just a fantasy. I didn't need to hold myself back from being who I truly was.

So slowly, I let my finger descend, feeling my own softness. It was wet, a sensation I hadn't experienced before. But those eyes, those eyes that ignited this strange feeling within me, drove me to the brink of madness.

"Ahh," I moaned, the sound escaping my lips like a melody. But no one reacted. No one moved. It seemed like I was the only one aware of the intense heat building within me.

I was getting hotter by the second.

I touched my own breast, swaying with the rhythm of my movements. And as I did, I let my fingers explore the depths of my desire.

Those eyes fueled me with an insatiable passion.

I woke up and glanced ahead, my eyes landing on a young man who was sitting with his head down. It was strange because earlier, he was one of the ones who was shouting, always craving a taste of me.

Well, why not give him what he wants? It felt like an unknown force surrounded me, giving me the strength to go against what I was doing. With a mischievous grin, I confidently walked towards him.

With a seductive sway, I made my way down the stage, and without any warning, I sat right in front of the man. His gasp and groan were music to my ears.

"Hey there, lover boy," I said with a playful smirk.

I started moving provocatively in front of him.

But there was this energy, this feeling telling me to stop. However, I didn't want to be controlled by that feeling. It felt like my own insides were rebelling against it.

"Want a taste of me?" I whispered, watching as the man's eyes widened with desire. I could see him trying to suppress it.

"You can have it," I giggled, gently touching his cheek to dispel any doubts he might have.

"Whore!" Suddenly, I froze like a statue, hearing that voice.

It was a cold voice, filled with authority that could bring anyone to their knees. Only alphas possess that kind of voice, and I knew I was in trouble. Everyone I meet seems to be a monster!

And among all the wolves, their leader is the most monstrous of them all. They are ruthless and don't care about causing pain.

Oh crap! If I'm not mistaken, the voice earlier came from either the second-in-command or the right-hand man of the Alpha King.

And now, the voice is coming from an even more monstrous figure.

But damn! Why am I feeling so pumped up?

I have no idea, but the sensation I'm experiencing is intense.

I glanced at the guy in front of me, a hint of fear lingering, so I let out a sigh.

Maybe this Alpha wants me to dance with him, but before things get messy, I need to put a stop to this.

"Sorry, lover boy, but the show's over." I smirked and got up from my seat.

Just as I stood up, I felt a warm, large hand wrap around my arm, forcefully turning me to face it.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as the tiny tingles spread across my skin. It was horrifying, but what happened next left me even more astonished.

A demon with a smirk on its face, its long fangs peeking out from its red lips, and its eyes glowing golden, causing my lips to part in shock and making it difficult for me to breathe.

There's a stunning creature right in front of me, and for some unknown reason, I find myself completely captivated by its gaze. It's as if the intense feeling is resurfacing once again.

And then, I felt a strange sensation deep within me. I noticed his grin widening.

"You're nothing but a bitch, does my presence make you feel desire? I can smell the sweet essence of your femininity, and it's a shame that it's coming from you." His words caught me off guard, as I had grown accustomed to a life filled with insults over the years. But now, shame washed over me once more.

"Does it satisfy you to let them use and touch you? Are you that desperate?"

I clenched my fist, feeling numbness spreading throughout my entire being, and a smirk formed on my face.

"Yes, it does. So, let me ask you, do you want a taste as well? Why do you act like you belong to me? And if all you can do is insult me, why not let me work in peace and show you just how this 'whore' can perform?"

His smile faded, and I quickly freed myself from his tight grip. Just as I was about to leave, I found myself blocked by three enormous wolves.

They snarled at me, their message clear: if I didn't comply, they could easily end my life.

My patience was wearing thin, and my inner wolf howled in frustration.

My nails dug into my palm, creating a wound that now bled.

"Let me through!" I screamed, no longer tolerating the situation. But all I heard was laughter.

"Do you really think warriors like them would listen to a whore like you?" he taunted. I heard his footsteps approaching, and soon enough, his fingers were toying with my hair and shoulders.

Then, he leaned in close and whispered those words that drained all my energy.

"Unfortunately, I've found the queen for my kingdom, but she's too busy engaging in promiscuous activities with everyone," he said, lowering his hand. I gasped as his hand found my left breast, his grip almost overpowering me.

I was rendered speechless and unable to protest as if I had lost my voice.

"She seems to enjoy getting her hands dirty, which is not fitting for the mother of my heir. What do you think, mate? Am I fortunate to have you as my queen?" I felt myself on the verge of collapsing.

No.

Queen?

Mate?

"You've been quite naughty, Mate. You deserve to be punished," he said, tightening his grip on my breast, causing me to cry out.

And in that moment, I couldn't help but wonder.

Why me?
