Irfan: "That's right, that's right. I'm really sorry."
Even though the incident seemed trivial, the first interaction between Sara and Irfan gave a new color to the Islamic boarding school. Irfan, who had just arrived, tried to mingle and create good relationships with other students, including Sara.
A few days later, Irfan decided to apologize more formally to Sara.
Irfan: "I want to sincerely apologize for what happened, Sara. I didn't mean to disturb you."
Sara: "No problem, Irfan. Everyone can make mistakes. Let's just start from the beginning."
From there, the relationship between Sara and Irfan began to grow. Irfan tries to adapt to the Islamic boarding school environment, while Sara helps introduce him to everyday life there. This is an opportunity for Sara to forget the tension that has occurred and focus on more positive things at the Islamic boarding school.
One day, Sara decided to memorize it which was part of the punishment given by Ustadz Rafi. He came to Ustadz Rafi's parents' house without knowing that Irfan, a student he had just met at the Islamic boarding school, was there. It turns out, Irfan is the younger brother of Ustadz Rafi.
Sara: (knocking on the door gently) "Assalamualaikum, Father, Mother. I have come to deposit the memorization that Ustadz Rafi gave as punishment."
Mr. Ustadz Rafi: "Waalaikumsalam, Sara. Please come in."
When Sara entered the house, she saw Irfan sitting in the living room, making her feel shocked.
Sara: (awkwardly) "Assalamualaikum, Irfan."
Irfan: "Waalaikumsalam, Sara. How are you?"
Sara: "Okay, thanks. I didn't know you were here too."
Ustadz Rafi's mother: "Sara, don't hesitate to sit down. Do you want to drink or eat something?"
Sara: "No, thank you, ma'am. I just came to deposit memorization."
Meanwhile, Ustadz Rafi came out of his study after hearing the conversation.
Ustadz Rafi: "Sara, how is your memorization?"
Sara: "I'm ready, Ustadz."
Ustadz Rafi: "Okay, let's see."
Sara demonstrated her memorization with full concentration. In between assessments, Irfan listened attentively.
Ustadz Rafi: "Your memorization is good, Sara. Continue to increase your practice."
Sara: "Thank you, Ustadz."
After finishing, Sara left Ustadz Rafi's house with a sense of relief. It turned out that Ustadz Rafi's house was not only a place to complete his sentence, but also a place where an unexpected meeting with Ustadz Rafi's family member, namely Irfan, could occur. This meeting brought new nuances to the dynamics of the relationship between them, and Sara felt that she knew the Islamic boarding school environment better as a close-knit family.
After Sara left her house, Ustadz Rafi sat in the living room with Irfan. Seeing this incident, Ustadz Rafi started asking his younger brother.
Ustadz Rafi: "Irfan, how do you know Sara?"
Irfan: "Brother, I just found out that Sara is a student at our Islamic boarding school. We met at the Islamic boarding school, and she came to deposit memorization."
Ustadz Rafi: "Oh, I see. What is your impression of him?"
Irfan: "He seems like a good and diligent person. I haven't interacted with him much, but he seems serious about his studies."
Ustadz Rafi: "Okay, as long as you interact politely and maintain ethical norms at the Islamic boarding school, it's no problem. Islamic boarding school is a place where we all learn and grow together."
Irfan: "I will try to integrate better, Brother."
Ustadz Rafi: "Good. Let's maintain harmony in the Islamic boarding school, including in interactions between fellow students."
This conversation reflects Ustadz Rafi's role as an Islamic boarding school leader who cares about relationships between students. With open communication and support from Islamic boarding school leaders, it is hoped that the atmosphere in Islamic boarding schools will remain conducive and help students grow in an environment full of kindness and tolerance.
As time went by, Irfan and Sara began to develop closer friendships in the Islamic boarding school environment. Irfan often chats with Sara, helps her with assignments, and the two of them are involved in boarding school activities together. This created a closeness that made Ustadz Rafi feel jealous.
Ustadz Rafi, as an older brother and leader of the Islamic boarding school, felt a change in the dynamics of the relationship between them. Even though she realizes that Irfan and Sara are just friends, jealousy naturally arises. He may feel that he has lost the attention or sense of exclusivity that he has felt as an authoritative figure at the Islamic boarding school.
Ustadz Rafi: (in his heart) "Why do I feel jealous seeing Irfan close to Sara? This shouldn't be a problem. Maybe this is just me being too worried."
This feeling of jealousy could be caused by Ustadz Rafi's protective feelings towards the Islamic boarding school and his desire to maintain the stability and sustainability of the Islamic boarding school as a place for good religious learning. Ustadz Rafi may also feel the need to ensure that relations between students remain in accordance with Islamic boarding school norms.
To overcome this feeling of jealousy, Ustadz Rafi may need to reflect and seek a deeper understanding regarding his feelings. Open communication and understanding between Ustadz Rafi, Irfan, and Sara can help resolve tensions that may arise due to changes in relationship dynamics within the Islamic boarding school.
Facing feelings of jealousy, Ustadz Rafi tried to better understand the source of these feelings. He realized that jealousy might arise due to changes in dynamics among the students, and as the leader of the Islamic boarding school, he felt it was his responsibility to maintain harmony in the Islamic boarding school environment.
Ustadz Rafi: (talking to himself) "This may just be a natural feeling due to change. I have to be calmer and understand that friendly relations in Islamic boarding schools are normal."
He decided to take a more thoughtful approach to the situation. Ustadz Rafi chose to speak directly with Irfan and Sara to find out more about the dynamics of their relationship and ensure that everything went according to the norms at the Islamic boarding school.
Ustadz Rafi: "Irfan, Sara, is everything okay? I want to make sure that relationships at the Islamic boarding school remain positive and in accordance with the values we adhere to."
Irfan: "Of course, Brother. We are just friends and help each other with our studies at the Islamic boarding school."
Sara: "That's right, Ustadz. There's nothing to worry about."
Ustadz Rafi: "Okay, I just want to make sure everything runs smoothly. Let's maintain togetherness and order in this Islamic boarding school."
Ustadz Rafi succeeded in creating a better understanding between himself, Irfan and Sara. That way, the jealousy they feel can be suppressed, and relations between the students remain healthy and harmonious in the Islamic boarding school environment.
Ustadz Rafi found himself increasingly captivated by Sara's presence when teaching in class. His gaze often fell on Sara unconsciously, and there was a feeling growing in his heart that made him wonder. Ustadz Rafi felt confused, not knowing why his feelings were starting to change.
Ustadz Rafi: (in his heart) "Why do I feel like this? I have to maintain boundaries and focus on my teaching duties at the Islamic boarding school. This can't happen."
Even though Ustadz Rafi realized that his feelings should not interfere with his teaching duties and the principles of the Islamic boarding school, these feelings were increasingly difficult to ignore. Maybe there was something in Sara's personality or the way she showed her dedication to learning that made Ustadz Rafi feel connected to her.
Ustadz Rafi tries to remain professional in teaching and maintains the proper distance between an ustadz and students. However, his attraction to Sara becomes an internal conflict that is difficult to overcome. Ustadz Rafi may feel the need to reflect more deeply on his feelings and find a solution that is in accordance with the moral and ethical principles adhered to at the Islamic boarding school.
