Chapter 3

Safety.

I put away what we sister outside earlier. Before I go to my room I make sure that the door is locked. So when I lay down, I only felt tired there.

The time when I was being chased and when he saved me. I closed my eyes in fear of what could happen but I can only see his face, I haven't even fixed the canned food and vegetables, I only put the meat in the fridge.

I'll do it later, I'm still lazy!

I tried my best to sleep, but in the end I didn't. Because he will come again later! I don't know if they will last longer but Karen wants to be here, she even wants to be my mates at school! Tho I really want that, because I don't know much here but im a bit uncomfortable when I see Rius, I get nervous when he's around!

I went down to the room and fixed the food, I arranged it in the fridge. After I finished, I washed the dishes that were used earlier and then folded the clothes.

Maybe because I was really tired, I just slept on the sofa in front of a big flat screen.

Just woke up to a call outside. I yawned before I opened the door and to my horror it was Karen and his brother Rius! Damn it! Even now when I look like I'm sleep deprived!

I immediately closed the door. I quickly fixed my hair and rubbed my eyes. Whatever!

I opened the door again and smiled at them. "Hi!"

They were just outside the gate. I ran there and then opened them.

I can't wait to invite them to the house.

"Do you want it here? Or inside?" I asked.

Karen immediately shook her head. "No, I'm fine here."

I just nodded "Just wait then, I'll just get a snack."

"Nah... Never mind. I'm a bit full, my brother and I will just eat outside."

"Juice?"

"That will do." She smiled. The man next to him was quiet.

He stared at me and it makes me uncomfortable. I moved a bit. "All right."

I went inside. When I got to the kitchen, I found myself leaning against the sink. This is fuck. It's a shame if he finds out that I feel this way!

I opened the fridge, I took out a broken pitcher and poured pineapple juice.

I sighed before walking out to them. Bring the juice and three glasses.

"So... Brother told me what happened to you earlier, are you okay?" She asked me a bit concerned.

I nodded, "Yeah. Thanks to your brother. I don't know what would have happened to me if he hadn't seen me earlier."

"There are a lot of really bad people here, especially if you're new."

When he finished, he looked at it before turning it off.

"I said I'm fine.... It's a bit embarrassing if I interrupt you." I said that in my small voice.

Karen just smiled and winked at me. "Swear it's not."

"Anyway when do you plan to start school?" He asked now.

When exactly? I'm not ready for a hectic schedule yet, I admire the beauty of this beach but I should face the reality, that I need to finish my studies so that Kion can concentrate on his course. Although the task he is doing now is double and I am helping him manage the company I can't be easy. "Are you safe here?" Rius said. I turned to him now.

"Yup, I always double locked my doors and windows before the day ends. And of course I have CCTV's in both areas, front and back. So whoever tries to enter here, there will be a fate."

"Good to hear."

"That's why you don't need to check me every time,"

"If I hadn't seen that thing earlier I would have been relieved, but I was there during those times so I can't be relieved."

"And why are you restless?"

"I have cousins, there are many of them and they are all women, I see them crying and scared, . How will I not be worried about you?"

"I'm not one of them."

"You're still one of them," I winced. A kulet too?

"Swear, it's not. I know we just met this morning. But I feel like you're my sister." She said while doing some action of her hand. She even held my hand tightly and smiled at me. Her brown eyes twinkle and while his blond hair dances on its waves.

I smiled at her. I've never met a person like her. I love my brother so much and my best friend Lucas but in my deep thoughts; I've always wished that I had a sister who could handle my worst. Who always there when I have my problems. And to hear this from Karen makes my heart melt.

They were there for almost two hours and it was getting dark when they decided to go home.

"We need to go," she said. We watched the sunset.

We walked on the beach. Part of my dress is blowing. My hair was blowing because of the strong wind so I put it on my right shoulder.

"We're here." He said again. He turned to me and smiled before hugging me.

"Bye Skye." She smiled.

"You go first karen." Rius said.

Karen smiled and walked away. Now only Rius is in front of me. He looked at my house, "Just text or call me if something happens." Go ahead.

He looked at me. His Eyes are glowing. His t shirt was blowing in the wind, the rays of the setting sun were hitting his body which brought out his true reaction even more. His jawline moves like he wants to say something but he stops it.

"Okay." I said softly now looking at the setting sun.

"Go in first." He said. I looked at him now and smiled.

He licks his lips.

"Thank you." I said. "As of earlier, I realize I haven't thanked you in person yet. I deeply thank you." I smiled softly and straightened my messy hair.

He just stared at me. "You need to go.. your cousin is waiting for you." I said so that he can see that Karen is waiting for him.

"You go first. I'll watch you." He said.

I looked at the sunset again, at the silence; I could only hear the sound of the waves. And every boat on the beach is beautiful to look at. I turned to Karen who was waiting in the distance and now to her.

I nodded and started walking away.

When I got to the gate. I saw him still looking at me. I smiled at him. He did not return any reaction. His just standing and looking at me intently. I locked the gate tho, even though it was only up to the waist, I still locked it. I entered the house and when I closed the door, I leaned in nervously.

It was too late when I realized the smile couldn't be removed from my lips.

Is it love?

Trius El Fuego POV."

The first time I saw her sitting on the bench in front of her house while drinking some hot water made my heart beat faster than it's usual beats.

I was silent while watching him talk to Karen.

Her eyes spark every time she's smiling, she moves delicately and thinks about each word before answering.

I wish I could stay longer just to find aunt's twins. So when we got home to the mansion, they immediately talked about that girl.

"I like her, she's beautiful!" Ryle said while sitting on the sofa with a smile.

"Fuck off! You're always like that to the girls you see!" Now it's Maita.

"She's beautiful, that's why Karen Kanina's attention was immediately caught. She was curious about it, so we came closer. When we got too close, I noticed that she was really beautiful. I bet her parents are beautiful and handsome.!" Maice interrupted.

I looked at the water I was drinking. I just let them talk.

After a few hours I realized that I was going to make money from Bren for the business he offered.

I quickly went to the meeting place.

I caught up with him there drinking coffee while typing on his laptop. We negotiated something more than half an hour.

After the deal was over, I was about to go to a workshop to look at my car's tires when I noticed that woman earlier turned the wrong corner! There are so many add*cts there!

I quickly followed him, he was chasing me now I turned to another alley and when he was about to go I immediately hid him in a small space, I even covered his mouth so he couldn't scream, and angled him so that those who were kissing would think us.

After passing, I just let go of her, she's crying and shaking. Really afraid.

It's my first time to see a stranger crying, and a girl like her. I want to hug her, comfort her so she can look at her crying and wipe her tears.

Now that he is here in front of me thanking me, the reflection of the setting sun on him brings out his true feelings.

And that's the start.

I'm falling in love with this woman In front of me! Just the first income? Is this really true!

I shook my head and followed Karen. "What is it brother?" She asked when she noticed my irritated face.

I didn't answer.

Sky Amaris POV

It's almost six am and I'm wide awake. I decided to jog, just by the beach.

I got dressed, wearing a Black sports bra and a set of fitted leggings.

I even brought my phone and it's belt bag, in my right hand while wearing an earpad.

I ran, I didn't go far, I was just coming back home, maybe the distance I ran was only five houses apart.

I don't want to go away because I feel like someone is watching me. I stopped in the middle, I'm exhausted and breathing heavily. I turned to the distance, I was about to start jogging again when I turned around the corner of a house. There was a man hiding there, when he saw me looking at him he hid himself again. He was wearing a black hoodie and pants.

I moved a bit. I started jogging again little by little, when I saw that he had turned and was walking faster, I ran faster. I was panting because it was heavy and difficult to run on the sand but I forced myself.

Incapable?

Now that I'm running, he's running, even though the sun is shining, I still have no one to ask for help, just a little further and he'll catch up with me! I ran as fast as I can!

I only stopped when I bumped into someone who greeted me. We lay down on the sand. My breast squished on his chest, my hand flew to his chest and his hand held my back.

He groaned in pain, when it hit we were already lying down.

I looked at him, Oh my f*cking! Rius!

I immediately stood up.

I turned back and the man following me turned into an alley where he came from.

"What's wrong?" Rius asked me while smoothing the clothes stuck to the sand.

I have it too, I got it from sweat. " I don't know who he is but it's weird. I always feel like someone staring at me, watching my every move, and before I thought what was watching me but as I walked little by little it was him following me I confirmed when I ran I ran too!" I said. Shaking with fear, he held my hand and squeezed it.

"Come here!" He combed my hair, and smoothed the sand on my arm.

I'm shaking, scared and tired.
