Chapter 4 His Regret

Sean's POV

'Who the hell doesn't know I dislike my drinks being served by anyone except me? All those rats think they can harm me, right?' I thought with anger burning inside of me. All they ever did in this house was pissing me off.

"Sean?" A familiar voice made me turn my gaze to look at the person it came from.

My mouth went wide open at the sight of the lady I had looked for all night. How on earth did she end up in Dan's house? No, there is no way she is one of Frank's thing.

I took some steps closer, but she drifted back until her back was touching the wall.

Before I could utter a word, she had started talking.

"Don't come any closer, you scumbag! Why the hell are you here? To laugh at me for succeeding in ruining my life? Because of you I desist from being a good daughter to my mother, so don't come any nearer if you like your throat!" For the first time, she yelled at me with tears streaming down from her pretty eyes which I can never forget how it stares at me with love.

"Amelia, I am so sorry. I searched for you all night-"

Again, she beat me at my words. "Apologise? For what? For being sincere? Or for losing a fuckmate who you deceived for four years? Anyways, your apology means nothing to me," she stated with no doubts in her voice.

The Amelia I knew will never say what she doesn't mean. She is always blunt, and sincere with her words.

Before I could explain further, she pushed me, and rushed out of the room.

I wish I could go on my knees, beg for forgiveness, and beg her to accept me back. I know I have hurt her, but she is still my mate, my Luna. I have to claim her before another person claims her.

I exhaled deeply before I walked out with only one place in mind; to meet my stepbrother.

I just hope he doesn't tell me she is his mate, and wants to claim her because I won't care about my promise to my mother, and fight him with all I have got.

"Didn't I instruct anyone not to come here? Or is it you, Amelia?" Upon my several knocking, he opened the door after he questioned coldly.

His eyes widened at my sight, making it obvious that he was amused to see me standing here healthily.

I smirked before I questioned with a warm facial expression, "Frankie, did you send my mate to give me a drugged drink? I can't believe you are going to use such a cheap trick."

Frank burst into loud laughter at my words, finding it so amusing. "Sean, I can't believe you are still acting childishly like you always do. Man up, okay?"

He was about to shut the door at me, but I got into the room in time. I stared at the room irritatingly with a sly smile playing on my lips.

"Sean, what the hell are you looking for in my room? Do you have nine lives?"

I burst into laughter at his words, "I should be telling you that. You are just a weak wolf who I can kill in just a go, so watch your mouth." I threatened before I began my real purpose of coming here, "Frank, why is Amelia in this house, and what did I do to deserve being poisoned or drugged?"

Frank chuckled at my words before he stood up and walked up to where I stood, "What else could be the reason for bringing my mate here? To play or what? As for the drink, maybe she wanted to kill you herself," he explained sincerely.

Frank's words made my eyes suddenly go teary. There was no way she was a mate of a jerk like him!

"Mate? Frank, don't worry, I will mark my mate and make her the Luna of the greatest pack in this city," I uttered, my eyes piercing into his. If gaze could kill, one of us could have been dead by now.

"Do you think she will want you to mark her? Don't you think Amelia would rather die than get the mark of the man who made her a worse daughter, toy with her feelings, break her heart, and embarrass her in front of everyone? Do you think she still wants to be the almighty Alpha Sean's Luna?" He giggled as each question came out of his lips.

His words sent chills down me, making me feel the pain of my sins. I shouldn't have done that to her, but how can I not when she was the cause of my only sister's death?

How on earth did my resentment turn into something else overnight, was something I badly wished to know. I just can't control it, neither can my wolf. I missed her alot.

"Alpha Sean of Lightmoon Pack, can you still not see the handwriting written on the wall? Must it be out for you?" mockery laced in his voice, he questioned me before he headed out.

Left alone, I felt like destroying everything. No, I felt like hitting myself, but that won't solve what is going on.

"Frank, the line is drawn. I will make sure to win this," I reassured myself before I excused myself from his room.

Even though this is hard, I will make sure to make Amelia mine. She is mine alone!

I brought out my phone, and dialled my Beta's number, Beta Zach. Almost immediately, he picked up from his end.

'Sir-'

'Cancel tomorrow's meeting, and make sure you find out everything about Edison Amelia. Find out how her mother died!' I instructed.

'But sir, you already rejected her, why are you trying to-'

Again, I cut him off with a yell. 'But? When did you start questioning my order? Question my order again, and you will lose your tongue!'
