Chapter 4 What Wrong With You

Leora looked at Adnan with a look of dislike, at first she was fascinated by Adnan's handsome face. But his charm seemed to be lost in Leora's eyes, after seeing Adnan's arrogance and temperament.

"Leora, bring me your hand. Let me treat it," said Rumi, already ready to treat Leora's hand, with the medicine box in front of her.

Leora who felt bad shook her head slowly. Leora didn't think the wound was too bad, so it didn't need to be treated.

"No auntie, I'm fine," said Leora, smiling awkwardly.

Rumi returned Leora's smile, still wanting to treat Leora's elbow. Rumi grabbed Leora's hand and treated her without permission.

"The slightest wound, if left unchecked, will leave an imprint," said Rumi with her hands busy applying medicine to Leora's wound.

Leora could only sigh in resignation, nodding in agreement with Rumi's words. They were silent for a while until Rumi spoke again.

"If I may ask, where were you from? I saw you were crying earlier," Rumi asked starting the conversation.

Leora was silent for a moment, she couldn't tell what happened. She wanted to keep her identity a secret for now, until her father could recover and rise again. What Leora needs to do now is find a job, so she can pay for Prayoga's surgery costs.

"Mm, actually I'm looking for a job, auntie," answered Leora honestly.

Rumi stopped her activities, then turned to look at Leora. "Oh, I happen to be looking for a new waiter. And even then, if you want, the salary is not small," said Rumi, ending with a smile.

Leora's eyes lit up, finally, she was able to get a job. But her face suddenly dimmed, as she recalled the fact that she couldn't do housework at all.

'How is this, I can't do housework at all,' Leora thought, playing with her thoughts.

"Leora! You don't want it, do you?" asked Rumi, who managed to break Leora's daydream.

"Eh, yes, yes. Leora wants it. The important thing is to get a job because I need money, auntie," answered Leora, smiling awkwardly.

In the end, Leora decided to accept the offer, whether it was a matter of doing homework or not. Leora could think about it later, the important thing was that she had found a job.

"Is your father not working? I see you are still young, why are you so confused about finding a job?" Again Rumi asked, making Leora confused to answer.

"Mm, my father is sick, auntie," replied Leora.

"Oh... your mother?"

Leora took a deep breath, lowered her head as she remembered her mother who had died because of something that happened.

"Leora's mother has died. Momy died because she was a victim of premeditated murder, auntie." For some reason, Leora wanted to talk about the cause of her mother's death, maybe so that Rumi wouldn't ask again.

Deg...

Rumi was silent, hearing the word killer made Rumi hold her head. Remembering something that might be etched in her mind.

"Killer, where's the killer. Are you a murderer? Get me away from the killer, please. Arghhh... Get away from you!" Rumi rambled like a man lost her mind.

Leora frowned, not understanding Rumi's sudden change in attitude. Leora was confused, seeing Rumi suddenly talking to himself.

"Auntie! What's wrong with you? Calm down."

Panic, that's how Leora felt. She tried to calm Rumi, while her mind was thinking. Thinking about why Rumi suddenly seemed to lose her mind, even though Leora felt that she had done nothing wrong.

"Go away! Go away you. Save me from the killer, arghh!" shouted Rumi hysterically, clutching her head.

It didn't stop there, Rumi also threw the first aid kit in front of him everywhere. Likewise, the flower vase on the table, she just threw it away. So it makes a loud sound.

Pyarrrrr...

The flower vase shattered into pieces, the noise Rumi made. It was heard until Adnan's study room, he didn't like it when people made noise when he was doing something.

Adnan huffed in annoyance, hitting his desk hard.

Brakk...

"Who is making a ruckus in this house, Hans?!" Adnan asked his assistant.

Hans is Adnan's assistant, also Adnan's confidant. Wherever Adnan is, Hans' assistant will always be by his side.

Hans is very obedient and professional in his work, even the once told Adnan. If Adnan is not married, then Hans will never marry. After all, Hans didn't seem too interested in women. He thought the woman was troublesome.

"Sorry Mr. Adnan, let me check," said Hans, turning to walk downstairs to check the noise.

"Wait a minute, Hans!"

Adnan restrained Hans from continuing his steps, he intended to check it himself. Adnan was sure that Leora was the one making the fuss, therefore Adnan wanted to see for himself and teach Leora a lesson.

"Let me see it, you take care of the paperwork for today's meeting," continued Adnan.

'If it's true, it was that woman who made the noise, I won't forgive her!' Adnan thought, his eyebrows were perfectly fused.

Hans nodded slowly in response and immediately did the task Adnan gave him.

"Okay, sir."

Adnan didn't take it anymore, he immediately walked away and went downstairs. When Adnan was about to go down the stairs, he was surprised to see his mother raging again.

Immediately, he descended the stairs one by one. Accelerating his steps down, then approached Rumi.

Rumi is still babbling while throwing everything around, even Leora and one of the maids there haven't been able to calm Rumi down.

"Get out of here! Assassin!" Rumi rambled incessantly.

"Mommy! Calm down," persuaded Adnan.

But it's useless, Rumi still rages slamming everything in front of him.

"Mom! There are no assassins here!" Adnan snapped holding Rumi's shoulders because he couldn't contain his emotions.

Rumi gasped, for a moment she was silent and didn't say another word. But her tears slowly dripped, because of Adnan's actions.

"HANS! QUICKLY GET MOMMY'S MEDICINE, AND BRING IT HERE!" continued Adnan shouting for Hans.

Leora who saw Adnan yell at his mother was annoyed and didn't expect it. It turns out that apart from being annoying, arrogant, and temperamental, Adnan also doesn't have a heart.

Spontaneously, Leora slapped Adnan's hand that was holding Rumi's shoulders.

"Don't you have a heart? How dare you yell at your mother? Apart from being arrogant and annoying, you also don't have a heart, right!" Leora chirped with her courage.

Adnan who heard Leora's words grew even more furious. His jaw hardened, he couldn't feel his hands clenching perfectly. If only the human who cursed him just now was a man, maybe Adnan would have killed him right then and there.

"You dare insult me? You don't even know anything about my family, don't ever interfere! Because you are nobody here." Out of emotion, Adnan again made a high-pitched voice.
