Chapter 2 Find a Job

Bugh...

"You dare refuse me?! Then get out of here now!" shouted Bram throwing a punch at Prayoga's jaw.

Prayoga who was not ready to take the hit fell back and fell on the floor. At that moment, his chest felt a very strong pain.

Beads of clear liquid escaped, running down Leora's cheeks. She was very worried to see her father fall while holding her left chest, with a sob that came out of her mouth.

"Daddy! Daddy why?" asked Leora frantically hugging her father from the side.

While Bram, actually smiled seeing Prayoga in pain.

"That's the result if you fight me. I'll give you time until this afternoon, leave this house!" snapped Bram with a laugh, folding his arms over his chest.

"And one more thing, you stupid girl, I will give you the calculations later! And I make sure you will be mine!" he continued, glaring at Leora, then turned and walked away, leaving Leora who was crying bitterly seeing her father's condition.

Leora didn't respond to Bram's words, all she thought about was her father for now.

"Dad! Wake up," Leora shouted worriedly as her father began to fall unconscious.

After Bram and his two men left her house, Leora immediately asked Ujang as the gardener of her house. To help him, take Prayoga to the hospital.

"Ujang! Sir come here quickly!" shouted Leora frantically.

"Oh my God, what's wrong Mr. Yoga?" asked Ujang who panicked, when he saw his employer lying helplessly on the floor.

"You'll ask later. Now help me take daddy to the hospital."

Ujang nodded and helped Prayoga sit on the sofa, while Leora was ordering a taxi to take Prayoga to the hospital.

Because all the cars too no longer have it, it's all because of Sintia-Leora's step-mommy, who has made all of Prayoga's assets her own. And left Prayoga after all the assets were successfully controlled, leaving only one company and a house. But all of that will disappear soon, now Leora and her father won't have any treasure left.

A few minutes later, the taxi that Leora ordered arrived. Leora and Ujang quickly took Prayoga to the nearest hospital.

It didn't take long, they arrived at the hospital not far from her house. The officers and nurses immediately took Prayoga to the ER, to be checked.

When Prayoga entered the ER, Leora could only wait for him from outside. Hope her father is fine, she only has Prayoga. Leora loves her father very much, she doesn't want her father to leave her like her biological mother who died.

Leora sat on the long chair in front of the room, her eyes kept shedding tears. Her shoulders shook with sobs, now her life was ruined. God has taken happiness from him, she has lost everything.

"Why is my life like this, God. Don't I have the right to be happy? Why do problems always come, God?" Leora's monotone covered her face with both hands, a heart-rending sobs dominated the silence there.

After some time, the emergency room door opened. Bringing up the doctor in his white coat, Leora suddenly rose from her seat. Immediately approached the doctor, just to ask about his father's condition.

"How is my father doc?" asked Leora with a worried expression on her face.

"Sorry, Mr. Prayoga has a coronary artery blockage. Therefore it is necessary to operate as soon as possible, otherwise..." The doctor in a white coat paused his words.

Leora frowned uncomprehendingly then said, "Otherwise what's the matter doc?" Leora interrupted, with tears in her eyes.

The doctor sighed for a moment, then spoke again.

"Otherwise, he could lose his life at any time," replied the doctor, looking at Leora with pitying eyes.

"What doc?"

Suddenly Leora's legs went limp to hear the doctor's statement, her tears just flowed without permission. She was very confused about what to do, her family had just gone bankrupt. Now that she has nothing, then where does the money come from to pay for her father's surgery?

But Leora also can't let Prayoga be helpless like that, her father is the only thing she has in this world. If her father leaves, she doesn't know how she will continue her life.

"O-okay doc, I'll take care of it right away," Leora continued in a hoarse voice, wiping her tears slowly and smiling forcefully at the doctor in front of her.

The doctor nodded in response. "Okay then, I'll excuse myself," said the doctor, turned around, and left Leora.

Leaving Leora who was crying bitterly in front of the emergency room, then stepped into the room, to see her father's condition. Again tears rolled down her cheeks, her heart ached to see her father lying limp and helpless on the bench. With oxygen stuck to his nose and mouth, an IV tube was attached to his hand. His face was pale and weak, making Leora feel down. The father who always protected and loved him was battling death now.

Leora approached Prayoga, sat beside him. Her eyes kept shedding tears, Leora covered her mouth so her sobs wouldn't disturb Prayoga. Choosing to cry silently is painful indeed.

"Daddy, wake up. I promise I'll find a job so you can operate. I don't want dad to go, I don't want to be alone," said Leora, kissing the back of Prayoga's hand, talking to him. Her father even though Prayoga's eyes were still closed.

'I have to find a job now,' Leora thought for a moment, she intends to find a job so that her father can be operated on quickly. Even though she wasn't sure it would be easy to get a job, what's the harm in trying?

Leora got up from her seat, looked at Prayoga for a moment. Then he kissed her father's forehead.

"I'll go first, I promise I will try so that you can be healthy again, daddy. Whatever I will do for you," said Leora softly, wiping the rest of her tears. Then stepped out to find a job.
