Chapter 3 Twist of Fate

Author's POV

" Can I kiss you ?"

Anbu looked at him as if she saw a ghost, and Rishi turned his head away from her out of embarrassment.

He didn't mean to say that out loud.

At least not in front of her.

He felt so stupid and silly for being so clumsy around her. It was hard for him to take his eyes from her tempting lips, surely it was a fraction of attraction. But he doesn't feel this attraction with every beautiful woman he sees. It's only her.

Anbu is the girl who made him feel good after a long time without doing anything. She effortlessly makes him feel special. It's like her presence is enough to make him feel good vibes. He likes the calmness she carries with her every time. Her simple smile is enough to console him in every way.

It's not about physical attraction. No it was never only with physical attraction. He's attracted to her mindset. Her way of thinking and seeing everything in a different way that he failed to see in.

It's about having the rights on eachother, it's about knowing that she is going to be his life partner sooner, and it's about knowing that she already likes him more than he does.

Anbu gazed at him for a few minutes with a stable face reaction. And finally she chose to break the silence by saying " ummm......i think i should leave "

Hearing her voice Rishi felt so stupid and bad for making her feel uncomfortable. He didn't do that intentionally, it's just his inner voice came out a little louder and his bad luck she heard that.

He can feel how awkward she must be feeling right now, and he didn't dare to look at her after realising that she wants to leave that place just because of his sheer stupidity.

He just nodded his head in an agreed way, for what she asked.

" Hmm...then take care I'll visit you tomorrow. And yes, if you need anything just give a call I'll be here. " Anbu said without looking at him, she stood up from chair , placing the coffin mug on the table. Glancing at him for the last time she turned around to leave but she stopped instantly as she heard his heartfelt apologies. I'm his deep voice.

" I'm sorry "

Turning around she went near him and bent down, Rishi's eyes were still fixed outside of the window.

Smiling chikly she kissed him on his cheek, taking Rishi in a wild shock. His eyes grew bigger when he felt her lips on his cheek. Evan it was just for a second, he felt her lips so soft and smooth.

" For now, this would be enough I guess , '' Anbu said looking down, she didn't want to face him with all her red tomato cheeks.

" And don't worry you never made me uncomfortable, in fact I never felt so secure with anyone else, till now. " This statement of hers brought a bright smile on Rishi's face.

He felt relieved, otherwise making her uncomfortable the first time when she came to his home, this thought would have been Killing him all the time. But now, knowing that she is all fine with him, he felt good about himself.

Her statement was also right, as a girl she can feel his presence securely, when he talks his eyes would always stick to her eyes, he never saw below her neck while talking. These small gestures of decency brought an unbreakable trust on him. She knows he won't do anything which makes her uncomfortable.

" Thank you for understanding me, " Rishi spoke with a smile. He was really thankful to her for not making it a big fuse and understanding his intentions.

He couldn't figure out, what is she ?His possession ? His lust or his Love ? For him Love sounds so weird after whatever he went through. Perhaps She is what he needs right now. She is his comfort.

Comfort to say everything will be fine and soon work out.

He's a broken soul, where she comes to heal his broken soul. She is a fixer.

Her vibes make him happy for no reason at all, seeing him happy she smiles knowing the reason.

His trance of thoughts were disturbed by her melodious voice.

" I should leave by now, it looks like the weather has turned bad. It might rain and I'm not planning to stay here for the whole day because my mom will eat me alive if she finds out that I'm here with you. '' Anbu spoke remembering her mom's rageful face which scares her the most.

Indian moms and their dangerous way of threatening.

Rishi shook his head, as he felt that it will in some time, and staying with her under the same roof is risky for him too.

Bidding bye to him with a smudged smile she took her hand bag and came out of the room, Rishi too followed her after sliding inside a baggy t-shirt which she took out from his closet for him before leaving his room.

He slowly walked as his back hurts a little, walking till entrance both stopped and looked at each other in anticipation.

" Okay, thank you for the coffee and take care of yourself " anbu mumbled in a slow phase.

Rishi hummed in response and smiled back at her. He felt for Annecy when she said she should leave, for some unknown reason he wanted her to stay for a little while but it could lead them in a risky moment, so he kept quiet. Although he mentally wished for her to be beside him for some more minutes.

Opening the main door, Anbu went out just then both flinched due to the loud noise of thunder.

" Awwwch " anbu flinched and closed her ears with both hands instantly.

Rishi mentally laughed at her adorness, and in a split second heavy rain started to pour like someone opened the tap of water.

Anbu looked at Rishi, who was already looking at her with a cocky smile. Looks like god listened to his wish.

Rishi giggled and showed his both hands to welcome her inside again.

Limping her lips, she again came inside and locked the door with a thud.

Staring at each other for longer than two ministers, both chuckled at their situation.

Helpless.
