Chapter 3 Anderson Hawthorne's POV

The moment I removed the brunette's little, limp body from my car, I inhaled her delicious, strawberry-scented smell, which combined with mine almost appeared overpowering. I positioned my stunning new Luna on my shoulders, letting my nails hold her cheeks as I did so to prevent her from falling. I sighed as I fiddled with the pack house's front door handle. We're on to phase two now.

I could tell they were mates as soon as I noticed the silly expression in Morgan's eyes when he gazed at her. I had to destroy it when I noticed how happy he was. This was the time I had been looking forward to for months. Retaliation at its best.

I was aware that I needed to act quickly to avoid Morgan smelling her and demanding information. My pack mates were staring at the unconscious stranger with doubtful expressions on their faces as I sped up the stairs, kicking the door shut as I did so.

I effortlessly slung her back over my shoulder once she was in my room, making her the sole woman to ever sleep in my bed. Her chest was gently moving up and down, but I could tell she was still in pain since her eyebrows were drawn together. I really didn't imagine her wolf would freak out that much and go into total shock over my claim to her. Other wolves than their mates have reportedly been marked, but those people were typically cooperative.

As soon as I covered her slightly curved figure with a blanket, I heard a loud banging on my door, which caused a grin to appear on my face. Start having fun now. I took my time approaching the door because I wanted Morgan to pass out from excitement.

I placed my new Luna's shoes carefully at the door in an effort to enrage him by letting him see them. I pulled my shirt up to reveal my stomach just before turning the handle in an effort to fool him into thinking his body had raised it.

I pushed my body in front of the crack in the door to prevent him from peering in and muttered, "Oh hey," in a casual tone. He focused his dark eyes hatefully on mine, and I yawned a little. I could tell that it took all of his strength for him to refrain from hitting me because his hands were locked firmly at his side.

The question, "Where is she? Morgan tried to glance over my shoulder while urging aggressively and baring his teeth. I knew he saw her shoes because I shifted just enough for him to do so, and then his eyes blazed even darker for a split second before coming back to me. He was getting angry fast, and I was relishing every second of it.

I acted confused by scratching the back of my head. "Who?" As his chest started to drastically rise and fall, his wolf started to move around inside of him, and I could see he was trying to get out. I cocked my head a little and questioned incomprehensibly.

Oh yes, Nancy is her name, he screamed.

I shook my head heartlessly and pushed my hair to the side, acting as if his concern was meaningless. Oh, she's asleep, I see. I responded in a lighthearted manner, as if I didn't understand why he was upset.

"You just couldn't help yourself, could you, Anderson?" He screamed loudly, and my hallway could hear his voice.

Despite the fact that I was his Alpha, he raised his hands, put his palms against my chest, and gave me a hard shove. I was not only at a higher level than him, but I was also stronger. He could throw me around as much as he wanted, but I could easily destroy him.

While trying not to chuckle, I kept manipulating his emotions. I teasedly commanded, "Don't start a fight you can't win, Morgan," but it did not calm his wrath as he sought to push me once more. I quickly exited my room and closed the door behind us to prevent waking up my new roommate.

His nails sank into his palms as he grunted, and his hands balled into tight fists. How did you convince her to spend the night with you? He pried while making pitiful noises. What a snob.

At this moment, I lost control of my laughter, and he shoved my body once more, provoking my wolf to get quite agitated. I didn't enjoy being put to the test, and if he continues in this direction, he won't like the results.

The sweet, innocent voice of "Morgan" greeted me, and we both turned to face the door as Nancy stood there, looking bewildered and afraid. Her blue pools were full of tears, and the terrible grief they contained almost caused me to feel a bit guilty-a feeling I did not frequently experience.

Nancy's POV

My entire body ached and throbbed when I woke up. I started going over my most recent recollections in an effort to put the puzzle together. My wolf's brain and my brain both quickly recognized what had happened.

The aroma of Anderson's masculinity filled the room and the bed I was in at the time, stinging my nose. I let out a low shriek out of panic.

Hoping to get up quickly, I was glad to discover that I was fully dressed, though my shoes were missing. I had assumed the worst had happened. My lips quivered as my fingers whirled up to my neck, and I felt the swelling area where I had been bitten. I pleaded with the Moon Goddess, holding the sensitive area, to assist me in getting rid of this assertion.

My eyes started to well up with tears; this can't be happening! Why did I allow this to happen? I would have been secure if I had never gone outdoors with Anderson, but I blindly trusted him instead. I couldn't stop thinking about seeing Morgan, and because of that desire, I relaxed my guard. revenge, he said. That one word kept repeating in my head, frightening me as I thought back to his disapproving tone. What could Morgan possibly have done wrong for Anderson to mark me as his mate? Could something really be so awful?

How did you convince her to spend the night with you? The moment Morgan's enraged voice reached my ears, it was beautiful. My wolf, who had been moping, perked up as I heard this, and my heart rate shot up. He could be useful.

She urged me to move, and I complied. I cautiously made my way across the spacious apartment-like room before opening the door carefully out of concern for what or who might be waiting there. I gasped as I saw Morgan violently push Anderson's chest. Despite having a good physique, Morgan was no match for his leader.

Surprisingly, Anderson was larger than any Alpha I had ever come across. He had an immediate advantage because he was an Alpha, but he also had another quality. He was enormous.
