Chapter 5 The Ultimate Rejection

Remus arrived on Saturday morning before dawn. Unlike the dark bags I had under my eyes, he appeared healthy and happy. I waved at him as I hurried to the car while clinging to my bags.

"Hey there, stranger." I gave him the best embrace I could manage, and he beamed. It was peculiar. He had developed a beard within the three months and was giddy with anticipation.

I relaxed. "Hey." I grinned broadly. "Come on! I'm eager to meet Louve.

I cannot, either. He concurred while displaying adoration in his eyes. I rolled my eyes as I saw him get into his flashy automobile.

Can you please explain why you appear to have not slept in days? His speech contained both humor and worry. As I ran my fingers through my hair, I sighed.

It is meaningless. He looked at me. "I have to leave the house by the end of the month because I haven't been paying the rent," I acknowledged, rubbing my head's back.

"Shit." He complained. "Can I send you some money if you need it, do you need it?"

I did a lot of head shaking. "Oh no. There should be space in the pack house, so I'm confident everything will be alright. I made a gesture. He regarded me with skepticism. The Alpha has actually confirmed a room. He kept giving me a suspicious look.

He asked, "You sure?"

"Positive." As the deception crept in, my fake smile spread across my face. I'm going to be alright, so don't worry about me.

I arrived at the Golden Moon pack quickly. I can now understand why this pack was referred to as the second most gorgeous. The packing house was stunning. extending across twelve levels. With the diversity of plants and vines that grow downward, it appeared opulent. I allowed a tiny gasp to escape my mouth. The definition of gorgeous, this site was simply lovely.

Wow, this site is incredible. I remarked. Remus agreed by nodding. I kept gazing with eyes wide with wonder.

"Yeah." Remus uttered. Our Alpha wants to meet you, so let's go in. I hesitantly nodded as I staggered following his silhouette.

The house was very identical to the outside once we were inside. This pack house was just stunning. At least five times more than the one in my rucksack.

You must be crazy to live here, I say. In answer, he laughed and pointed me in the direction of the lift, which was really reassuring.

We reached level eight and started moving in the direction of his and Louve's chamber. Seeing her made me very happy.

Once Remus had the door open, I let out a tiny shriek. It resembled a tiny apartment. The fact that Louve and Remus stayed in a family suite was brought up by Remus. There was a tiny dining table and kitchen. There appeared to be a lounge, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms.

"How did you manage to get such a nice room?" I questioned him in shock over this.

"Well, this was one of the last ones left and-" Louve entered the space while encircling a lump on her abdomen with her hands.

"-Ahh!" I ran over to Louve and exclaimed in delight as I examined the bulge. My niece is like that. She has matured." I made fun of my brother because he wants a boy. I am incredibly happy for the two of you.

"Thanks, May!" Louve's voice was cheerful as usual.

The question, "Any names?" She happily nodded when I questioned her.

"I was picturing a Celestia-like character." She admitted it.

The Moon Goddess, perhaps? She nodded when I questioned her. Since it's not an identical replica, that's cute. Selene is the real name of the Moon Goddess, but Celestia was a lovely substitute.

"Yeah." She grinned. "I had the idea one night. It seemed as though something had told me to give her that name.

"Perhaps the Moon Goddess did it." I made my eyes move.

"Perhaps it was," She chuckled.

Remus then interrupted us in mid-sentence. He won't be given that name, though; Mike will do. He revealed it to us.

The question "After Mike-Ike?" Remus used to be completely fixated on a candy called Mike-Ike, which is likely where the name Mike-Ike came from. Remus said, "That's bad, that's just bad."

Stop talking like you could think of something better. He informed me.

What about Boris, then? My name was superior to his, I remarked, and Louve agreed by nodding. Additionally, since the child will be a female, you won't need to bother about thinking of a name for her. You'll learn within a month. Are you able to detect the strawberry scent? I quizzed him. Wolves were able to identify gender. It's strawberries for a girl and peaches for a male.

He won't even smell it. When Louve said it, I cocked my head.

"I'm not defying you; I'm just hoping. Additionally, there is a peach fragrance present. He conceded.

"Our child might be both a boy and a girl," Louve retaliated.

We'd have to call it Celesike, sh*t. They both rolled their eyes as they turned to face me.

Okay, what's going on? As we took a seat in the pack lounge, Louve questioned. I exhaled a long breath.

All I have are financial concerns; how about you? I smiled slightly as I questioned her.

When I want to be May, I can be serious. Louve made a mention. "Call it Mother's instinct, but I feel like something is wrong. Tell me now, or I'll have to do this the difficult way.

I threw up my hands in resignation. "Really, nothing's wrong," I grinned broadly.

"May, smiles shouldn't go up your cheek that high." I decreased it just a bit. THAT ISN'T HELPING, you say. She made a mention. "Just tell me, May." Her expression was grave.

I was rejected; was that what you were looking for?" I leaned into Louve and this time I was able to hold my own, but it still felt like someone was tearing my heart apart.

It's alright. I'll tear him to pieces. Give me the name and location. She was probably becoming a mother at the time, which brought out her overprotective side.

"No. No. No mass killings. I informed her. I think I'm over it now.

Hardly. My wolf made a statement. She was now talking to me more frequently.

"Seriously." said Louve. "Who turned you down?"

Dolph was the one. I moaned. Remus will be broken, so don't tell him. I informed her. Although she gave a small nod in agreement, her expression still showed wrath.

"I'll murder him! I'll mutilate him! I'll-" Remus entered.

"Shit, what did I just do?" His worried expression.

"Nothing as of yet." Louve answered. Despite being strong, she wore a sinister smirk.

Even though some had individual kitchens, I was relaxing in the communal one with the rest of the group. Just now, I was watching Luna prepare dinner for the family. There would be a BBQ in addition to some people eating inside.

I hadn't yet met the Alpha when he unexpectedly entered the room, but after kissing Luna on the lips, he walked over to me. As he sat down, he exhaled a sigh. I didn't expect an Alpha to be wearing a casual t-shirt and trousers.

"Louve and I recently spoke," He began. Who said what, Louve? "She informed me that you were rejected." My heart was instantly wounded once more, but I was able to resist the Alpha's advances.

First tip: Never cry in front of an Alpha; doing so is weak.

"Yes, thank you for asking. I am fine now." I spoke softly, an uneasiness visible on my face.

"No, you're not." His voice was gruff. In the distance, I noticed Luna shaking her head.

Why do you think you know? I said it out of spite.

"Because I was rejected once, too."
