Chapter 4 Make A History

Irene barged into the kitchen and Ivory turned from the chicken she was frying, she looked at Irene's angry face and sighed under her breath, trouble was looming around again.

"How dare you slap my baby, you imbecile!" Irene shouted, Ivory ignored her and kept frying and this made Irene angrier.

"I'm talking, bitch!" Irene spat, she took a bowl containing water and splashed the water on Ivory's face.

Ivory gasped and turned around, landing a thunderous slap on Irene's cheek, Irene staggered and fell on her butt.

Holding her reddened cheek, Irene looked up slowly, shock written over her.

"You......you slapped me?" Irene stuttered in shock.

"No, I only warned you," Ivory said, smirking.

Julianne chose that moment to walk into the kitchen, she gasped and stopped dead in her tracks as she beheld Irene crying on the floor.

"Irene!" She bellowed and rushed towards Irene. Ivory rolled her eyes and tightened her skin, preparing for the worst from her mother.

Julianne turned sharply, scowling at Ivory.

"You useless girl!" Julianne spat angrily and grabbed the pan containing an oil that Ivory used to fry the chicken, emptying it on Ivory's back. An agonizing scream escaped from Ivory and she fell to the ground, wriggling in pain as her skin peeled off, burning her greatly, she cried out excruciatingly as hot tears rushed down her face, wetting her dress.

Irene grinned evilly and got up.

"Next time, you won't dare raise your little stinking finger on my exclusive body again," Irene said, laughing mockingly.

"Let's go, baby," Julianne said and walked out with Irene, leaving Ivory sprawled on the floor.

Ivory got up after lying on the cold floor for hours, she held the kitchen counter for support and winced in pain as her back stung greatly, she walked out of the kitchen slowly and carefully climbed the stairs, heading into her room. She pulled off her clothes and stared at the burn on her back, fresh tears clouded her eyes and fell out as she stared at her peeled skin.

"My back is so disgusting," she muttered, sniffing.

She wore her scalded dress and walked out to get the first aid kit, getting back into her room, she applied treatment on the burn and winced as the stinging haunted her again, wrapping a plaster around her body, below her round boobs. She sighed and walked into the bathroom and took a cold shower, she put on a nightie and lay down on her stomach.

"Why does Mother treat me like this?" She muttered and a tear escaped her eyes, the happy moments she shared with her mother and father stung her memory, causing more tears to escape from her eyes.

"Am I the reason Dad died?" She muttered again, sighing as her heavy, teary eyes closed on their own...

>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Ivory's eyes flickered open as sun rays hit her face, she groaned and turned around, the pain crept into her and she sat up slowly, getting down from the bed, she rushed into the bathroom and took a quick bath. She isn't ready to face her mother's and twin sister's scornful face, what matters right now is her education.

After getting her morning chores done, she quickly stuffed some food into her mouth and ran out, thankful that she didn't come across any of them. Deborah stopped her car right in front of her apartment, flunging the door open, Ivory flashed her a weak smile and got into the car.

"Hi Debbie," Ivory said.

"Hey baby," Deborah replied, arranging her hair quickly, she glanced at Ivory and twitched her lips.

"You look dull, anything the matter?" Deborah asked.

Ivory wasn't sure if she should tell Deborah what happened to her last night, Deborah being a crazy girl with the connection shouldn't be told, not Deborah not anyone, though her Mom hates her she still loves her Mom not minding the hell she was putting her.

"Dazed girl," Deborah yelled, frightening Ivory.

"What?" Ivory asked

"What were you thinking about?" Deborah said and Ivory shrugged.

"Nothing," she replied and Deborah shook her head, smiling.

"Shit!!!" Deborah yelled, hitting the steering wheel which scared Ivory.

"What?" Ivory asked Deborah whose popping eyes were glued to her phone.

"Debbie?" Ivory called in worry.

Deborah raised her head from her phone, slowly blinking at Ivory.

"I have a test today," she said almost in a whisper.

Ivory raised her brows in confusion.

"And?"

"I'm just finding out this morning!" Deborah said in a raised voice and breathed in slowly, smiling at Ivory.

"That shouldn't be a problem, you can just go through your notes when we get to school," Ivory suggested.

"My books are at home and I forgot to check my class blog yesterday because I slept angrily," Deborah said, sighing heavily.

"And he will never take a no for an answer," Deborah gritted and Ivory gave her a confused look.

"My professor," Deborah explained and Ivory mouthed an oh.

"Don't worry, I'll get around it one way or the other," Deborah said, grinning.

She pulled over in the school garage and they stepped out of the car.

"See ya later babe, don't forget to smack some ass today too," Deborah said and winked, skipping away in the direction of her department.

Ivory sighed and looked around, glancing at Deborah's retreating figure. Deborah has the money and materials to pass her exams but she has to work hard to come out with a straight A if she wants to retain her scholarship. She hopes to get this grade with all these traumas going on at home, her part-time jobs, and now this college filled with hateful bitches and jerky guys, the chance of getting a straight A is very slim and the thought of competing with four smart, rich kids is so tormenting.

Ivory didn't even know what was going on in her surroundings as her mind was far away from where she was, her head banged into a hard chest and she rubbed her forehead, wincing as the pain from her back resurfaced.

"You're late for our tour," a cold voice said and Ivory looked up slowly, her eyes caught her cold guide's eyes on her.

"Hi Romeo," she said, chuckling at his countenance.

"Our lecture begins in the next 30 minutes," Romeo said, glancing at his wristwatch.

"We still have enough time," Ivory said and Romeo scoffed

"30 minutes is not enough time," he said, mimicking the last sentence.

"That looks good on you," Ivory said and Romeo raised his brows.

"Let's go," Romeo said, striding off, ignoring the comments coming from different girls.

"Hey, wait up!" Ivory yelled, running after him, she walked behind trying to keep up with his long pace.

"Slow down," she said and he did, facing her sharply.

"Look, we don't......."

Ivory cut him off, placing a finger on his lips. Romeo's eyes widened as he stared at her little finger on his lips.

"I will have to go and drop my books in my locker," Ivory said.

"We don't...."

"Shhhhhh!"Ivory said, hushing Romeo up.

"You will take me to the locker room and I will drop my books in my locker then we'll go for a tour," Ivory said, grinning.

"No!" Romeo admonished.

"Do you want to make history too?" Ivory asked and Romeo's lips paled.

"You will obey me and we will go in peace," Ivory said and wrapped her arms around his arms.

"C'mon, let's go," Ivory said and Romeo looked at their clasped hands and then at Ivory's smiling face.

"First it's Daniel then it's Romeo, who the hell is this girl!" Kate, Joyce's friend said and Joyce glared at Ivory hatefully and then matched off in anger

Daniel came out of his car with his friends and the usual uproar sprouted up.

"Is that not your girl?" Dennis said and Daniel turned in the direction Dennis started, Ivory was holding Romeo's hands as they walked towards the locker room.

"Seems like Romeo is ahead again," Desmond said and Daniel clenched his fist angrily, he glanced at them and walked away with anger written over him, he even ignored the girls as he walked into the hall.

"This girl is gonna bring a lot of steamy drama."
