"Huh?" Jeremy gaped his mouth. To what degree did he dare to ask for a ride. Danny was busy buying ice cream so he didn't participate in this adult, hateful conversation.
"Yes, sir, at least as a thank you, you gave me a ride."
Jeremy snorted. "I didn't expect you to be this confident about getting a ride."
"It's not bad, sir, it saves money on cab fare. Besides, you're sacrificing a little gasoline to drive me."
Jeremy sighed. If the problem was the fare money, he seemed to have the perfect solution.
"Scan!" Jeremy asked Nesta to scan the QR code on her e wallet.
Nesta was still confused. However, rather than let her boss get even more emotional, she complied.
Prepare the QR code, point the screen at Jeremy's phone. Within seconds, there was a balance in Nesta's account. Not bad, five hundred thousand.
"Sir, what is this money?" Even though she was happy to be given an additional balance, she still had to ask first for what purpose. I wonder if Jeremy is inviting open BO again. If it's only 100 dollars, it's a bargain.
Jeremy looked at Nesta suspiciously. "Why are you watching me!"
Nesta spluttered. Anything she did would always feel wrong in Jeremy's eyes. What did the man want, anyway?
And, again, why was their destiny always like this. Every time Nesta had the intention to avoid, they would always end up meeting again.
"I'm sorry, sir, if I went too far. But, this is how I behave. I treat everyone the same, sir. I mean, whoever I'm with, I just be myself, no need to maintain an image or anything."
Jeremy sighed. He wanted to get angry, but realized that Nesta had helped her son earlier. Anyway, Jeremy was confused as to why he was always annoyed with this woman. Was it because she was a dumbass?
"That's some money for a taxi fare." Jeremy put his cell phone in his pocket, speaking without looking at Nesta. Mia returned with Danny with ice cream in her son's hand.
"Did you get the ice cream?" Jeremy asked, rubbing Danny's head. Nesta was shocked that he could be that nice to his son. At first, Nesta thought Jeremy was evil wherever he was.
Danny bought several packs. He gave one to Jeremy.
"Papa doesn't eat ice, Honey, just keep it for you. You can have some more for the afternoon."
Nesta glared. 'Well, it's called having a heart of stone, but it's still like that. She had just been thought to be a good person and had changed again.
"Nesta, would you like some ice cream?" Danny held out one for her.
Actually, Nesta still had a toothache. If she ate ice, her gums would swell even more. However, looking at Danny's sincere gaze, how could she refuse.
"This is for me?"
Danny nodded. "Yes, it's for you."
With a warm smile, Nesta took the ice cream. Promising to eat it later when she got home. Although, it was certain that the ice would melt.
"Don't you have a toothache?" Jeremy looked at her suspiciously.
Nesta squinted. "You just don't know, you can work out how to eat so you don't get a toothache."
Jeremy was curious. "How?"
"Just wait for the liquid, then suck it with a straw. Direct it down the throat, it's safe, sir."
Jeremy shook his head.
"Anyway, sir." Brave Nesta continued, " I do this because I appreciate the gift. Even though Danny is a kid, he still has feelings."
Jeremy paused. Only three seconds, really, and he was already fierce again.
"Tomorrow when you get better, work again. Don't take too many days off!"
"Yes, sir."
Jeremy spoke again. "I've already given you the transportation money. I can't take you because I just washed my car."
Jeremy walked away. Nesta had been nodding along, even waving goodbye to Danny. However, as soon as she absorbed what Jeremy had said again, Nesta became angry.
Hey! What the hell did Nesta think!
