Chapter 4 Eric goes in search of true love

"Father, I am not ready to have her as wife; she is a liar and, at the same time, rude; she lacks human sympathy. Just a few days after I returned, I have begun to notice this in her." Eric complains about Elaine before his parents and sibling.

"Son, this is what you can change. Remember." Joycelyn was interrupted by him.

"You confirm to me that she is well brought up; then why am I seeing all this nonchalant attitude in her? I am not ready to have her as my wife." He repeated and said more " The worst of it all is that she doesn't take correction."

"Exactly, bro, I told Dad and Mom about that,regarding Elaine and how nonchalant she has been behaving; I don't just like her, but they didn't give me an ear." Sarah spoke her mind.

"Anyway, it is never a force, son, but I don't like the way you have gone about not getting married soon. I want you to get yourself a wife, a woman that will help you control your wealth. Haven't you seen that you have acquired more riches than I have? Why then delay getting yourself a wife?" Hudson asked; he was so worried.

"I didn't delay getting myself a wife; rather, I lack finding a true love. We know how my lovers cheated on me. They only wanted my money, fame, and handsomeness" He answered and added. "I will soon get the love of my heart, my soulmate."

"Then do that quick, or else you will be forced to marry Elaine." Joycelyn said.

"Never, mother, I detest her." Sarah replied on his behalf.

Later in the day, Eric sat alone, thinking about how he could find himself a true love, sitting with Sarah beside the swimming pool, with some snacks served to them, by the housekeeper.

He started reading down some stories from a app, where he got to read about a billionaire who disguised Himself in search of true love.

"This will benefit me a lot if I apply it." He said to Sarah.

"What is it?" She asked and demanded to read through.

"Don't even try that, bro; you are the second wealthiest man on Earth, and your face is popular; you know that. How then will you go about it? Don't you think it is a blow to your personality if you get to have your wife through this, ? , You may as well end up with a low class lady" She tried to discourage him.

"It is all about me and my happiness; I don't care who speaks against it, or who where I find the love."

"I will go with you wherever you go.Moreover, I can give you the best make-up, which will change you entirely." She replied to him without much argument.

"Who knows if I will also get to see my prince charming there?" She added.

" We can't all leave dad and mom for a journey of about six month or more than, they will feel so bad." He suggested.

"Let's get them involved. I think that will be the best way."

"They will stop us. Please stay behind while I take it upon myself alone"

"Am going with you. Again I insist they know about this, so as to give Dad a good attitude and peace of mind to lead with all integrity as well as doing his best in the country, rather than return and meet them death as a result of heart attack we might cause then with this." She pleaded, which Eric saw to, and Concord.

They both left there and had the same word with their parent, during the night, they couldn't wait till the day break, by then Elaine had went to see her parents.

"You both must be out of your minds." Shouted Hudson.

"So this was the reason why you woke me and your mom from sleep by this hour of the night." He added.

"Yes, father, we needed to do so, we have no much time to wait."

"Impossible, my children. I can't watch you both leave me here with such an act." Joycelyn spoke; she had her eyes open more after hearing this.

" If that should be the case, we will then leave without your both consent." Eric said he remembered telling Sarah how he wanted to do that without their consent.

"We talk about it tomorrow." Hudson told them.

"This is the right time to talk about it. Tomorrow may be too late; we plan to leave in two days." Eric added, and he remained there with Sarah.

Seeing that they were not ready to leave, Hudson and his wife looked at each other.

And said

"What do you expect us to tell the world about your movement, during your stay there?" Hudson asked.

"It is all about me," Eric answered.

They both agreed to act as if they had lost their children while they were alive.

This made them end the conversation in peace and get prepared for the journey.

Before that, Elaine had to be informed that Eric had no interest in her.

Meanwhile, it wasn't fully agreed that Eric married her, it was under probability, which is only if she had behaved well. But here comes her failure, after putting on a nonchalant attitude before Eric.

Elaine parents blame her for what she has done, while she blames them for not raising her as she should.

"I have finally lose him after showing up myself before my friends as his future wife." Elaine sobbed before her parents.

"Daughter, you still have more chance in his life, if only you amend now. And again, it was all your forth." Raine, her father said to her.

"You and Mom raised me in the wrong way; you pampered me, which led to this. How will I get him back when he has made up his mind not to see me around?" she said.

"You are our only daughter; we needed to raise you with a golden spoon and make you be comfortable; we gave you the best, and for manners, you were the one who failed to learn from those around you." Phoebe her mother spoke.

"How will I learn when I am provtided with everything I needed? Mother, father, I need to get my man back." She added.

They pleaded with her to remain calm while they planned to make her happy.

Now Eric and Sarah have set out for the journey, they were carried on a convoy, going to the airport as planned with their parents. They got half way to the airport, where Eric faked having booked a flight, it was all planned.

"ooh! he said to the driver and asked him to stop, every other car that follow him stop.

"I forgot an important document on my bed, and so has my sister; she has forgotten her Golden watch, in the table in her room.

" Please, you all should go get them for us while we remain here in the car." He said this to the driver and asked that the car door be opened for both of them.

"We need to take it easy." Sarah told him she was strong enough to go with him.

Immediately, his body guard got the door open while the information was passed. He asked that they go and get them urgently.

"Let a few of us go, while others stay to guide you and your sister m. His Excellency won't take it easy with us; he will cut up our heads from our necks if he get to see that you are not properly protected, and for your high class status, sir, you need more of our guard." The senior bodyguard spoke.

"I employed you, not my dad; none of my dad's bodyguards are here, so I command you to do as you are told; the driver and one of the security guards can wait with I and my sister." He told him.

The bodyguard agreed and ordered that the car be revised immediately while they rushed to get the items.

Now it was left with just Eric, Sarah, his driver, and one of the guards.

Eric asked them to leave the car and wait outside; he had planned on adding a sleeping substance to the juice he wanted to serve them.

When he was done adding, he and Sarah behaved as if they were not interested in the juice; they offered it to the driver and the bodyguard; they at first refused to drink it, but with much persuasion, they did. Little do they start struggling with sleep; unable to control the sleep, they went inside the car and slept off.

"They have slept off. Let go." Said Sarah. They left some of their belongings and left immediately, Eric putting on just a shirt and trousers. While Sarah is on gown.

They left immediately before the arrival of those Eric had sent.
