Chapter 4 Part 4

Yoonki had been waiting for Airin to wake up since earlier. He had not moved from the chair beside Airin's bed. The heated atmosphere of the ER added to Yoonki, who had been dizzy since he had seen Airin faint.

Yoonki then gently massaged his forehead, hoping to get rid of the dizziness even for a moment. Yoonki closed his eyes and continued to rub his forehead. Until Airin's voice moaned softly, Yoonki reflexively opened his eyes and drew closer to Airin.

"You're awake?" asked Yoonki, who was worried by his tone.

Airin winced, feeling her stomach still stiff. Airin looked at Yoonki, whose face was white now. Airin nodded slowly, then tried to sit up. Yoonki quickly held Airin to get up.

"Just lie down! The doctor said you're not feeling well. You have a fever and dehydration. What, you haven't noticed?" asked Yoonki, surprised that Airin still went to work when she was sick.

Airin smiled faintly. For some reason hearing Yoonki made Airin want to laugh. Yoongi frowned, confused.

"Why are you smiling like that? Is there something wrong with my question?" asked Yoonki.

Airin looked at Yoonki again, then shook her head slowly.

"It turns out you're quite cute too, Yoonki_ssi. Your cold face doesn't reflect that you're warm and caring enough," said Airin, who could feel Yoonki even though it was only a trivial thing Yoonki asked her.

Yoonki was silent, hearing Airin's words. The man stared at Airin with a face that couldn't be interpreted now. A moment later, Airin held Yoonki gently, causing Yoonki to tiptoe and feel Airin's hand was so cold.

"Thank you for looking after me here. You must be busy. Come back to the office! I can be alone here," said Airin, who felt terrible for Yoonki.

Yoonki was silent. He didn't respond to Airin's words. He could only stare at Airin and contemplate whether to go. His head and heart were so conflicted right now.

The sound of the curtain in Airin's room being opened suddenly interrupted Yoonki and, at the same time, made Airin look at the person who had just entered her room.

"Oh, you're awake," said the nurse who came.

Airin smiled and nodded her head slowly. Yoonki himself then stood up and let go of Airin's hand.

"What's wrong, Sus? Have the examination results come out yet?" asked Yoonki then.

"Yes, these are the results of the examination. Your wife's HB is so low then she seems to be malnourished. Is she having cravings?" asked the nurse then.

"Wife? Cravings?" asked Yoonki, confused, and he looked at Airin with an awkward face now.

Airin herself, who was also surprised at first, smiled shyly now.

"We are not husband and wife, Sus. Incidentally, it was he who took me to the hospital. I am not married," said Airin, denying the nurse's question.

The nurse seemed to nod her head in understanding. Yoonki was still looking at Airin, who was so calm explaining his relationship with Yoonki.

"Sorry, I misjudged you. You can go home after this infusion is finished. This is a prescription for your vitamins."

The nurse apologized and handed Yoonki. Yoonki accepted the paper after explaining several things Airin was not allowed to do in the first place. The nurse then left Airin's room.

"If it's not husband and wife, why did that man look so worried earlier? Strange."

The muttering of the nurse could still be heard by Airin and Yoonki, both of them then looked at each other, and both chuckled now.

Yoonki opened his apartment door and then looked surprised.

"Hyung, did you come here once?" asked Yoonki, who saw Seo Jin in front of his apartment.

Seo Jin himself smiled and then looked into Yoonki's.

"Does my arrival bother you? You have guests?" asked Seo Jin, who thought Yoonki was having guests.

Yoonki also looked into his apartment too, and Yoonki needed clarification.

"Why do you think like that, Hyung? I'm alone here," said Yoonki in response.

Seo Jin smiled back and nodded his head.

"May I come in?" asked Seo Jin again.

"Ah,,,of course, Hyung. Come in!" said Yoonki, inviting his older brother to enter.

Seo Jin was sitting on the sofa and reflexively turned on the television. Meanwhile, Yoonki approached Seo Jin with two cans of soft drinks. Yoonki put the two cans of glass on the table.

"Drink, Hyung! Sorry, there's no food here," Yoonki said a little regretfully.

Seo Jin turned his gaze toward Yoonki, then took a deep breath.

"You, this is a CEO. Can't you hire a maid to look after you and this house?" asked Seo Jin, who was a little surprised by the nature of his brother, who was always too introverted to choose to live alone like this.

Yoonki looked at Seo Jin, his lips, then smiled thinly. Yoonki then opened a can of soft drink and took a slow sip. Yoonki took a deep breath and then wiped the remaining water that stuck to the corner of his lips.

"You're still talkative, huh, Hyung," Yoonki chuckled.

"Ya! I'm asking, not nagging you. Look! It's time for dinner. You said there's no food here," Seo Jin said again, a little annoyed.

Yoonki, who was still laughing then, stopped. He smiled faintly and grabbed his cell phone from the table.

"If Hyung grumbles just because there is no food. I can order food for you, Hyung. Nowadays, it's not as difficult as before, Hyung. What do you want to eat, Hyung?" asked Yoonki, who started tapping his cell phone and looking for his dinner menu.

"Tsk!" Instead of answering Seo Jin, he chuckled in annoyance.

Hearing that, Yoonki glanced at his brother again, then laughed again.

Elsewhere, Airin sneaks into her Uncle and aunt's house. Again she was late coming home. She had enough work at the office that he had to make him overtime tonight. Seeing that the room was dark, Airin massaged her chest slowly.

"It seems Uncle and Aunt are already asleep, thank goodness," Airin muttered into a monologue and then walked to his room.

Airin opened her bedroom door slowly, then turned on the light switch slowly. Airin's face stiffened when she saw the two people that Airin was so afraid of were in her room and looking at her with angry faces now.

"Where have you been?" asked Uncle Airin, half snapping.

"To work, Uncle," said Airin haltingly.

"Work? Is it time to get home? What do you do? Sell yourself?" asked Aunt Airin in a mocking voice.

"Auntie, why are you talking like that? I just got home from work. I'm not selling myself," Airin replied in a trembling voice.

Even though her Uncle and aunt often mistreated her, her aunt's words had gone too far.

"Then where's your rent this month? Why haven't you given it to me yet? You haven't forgotten, have you?" repeated Uncle Airin raising his voice.

"Tomorrow, Uncle, I haven't received my salary yet. I won't forget," Airin said again.

"It's good if you don't forget your obligation. Come on, Yeobo, let's get out of here!" asked Aunt Airin, who then took Uncle Airin's hand.

Airin shifted from the front door after her Uncle and aunt left her room. Airin closed the bedroom door slowly. Airin then heaved a sigh of relief and massaged her chest. A moment later, Airin rubbed her face slowly and looked straight ahead. Her mind is filled with how to give this month's rent. She still needs to receive his salary. His salary was used for hospital fees which were not cheap yesterday when something went wrong.

Airin is waiting in Doctor Sujin's office now. Today is the test day for whether the insemination was successful or not. Airin was so nervous that he repeatedly gulped down his mineral water. It was only a short time before Doctor Sujin came with several items for Airin's urine test kit.

"You waited a long time, Airin_ssi? Miane," Doctor Sujin said uncomfortably and then sat in front of Airin now.

Airin smiled and shook her head slowly.

"It's okay, Doc," she replied.

Doctor Sujin smiled and put the tools she had brought on the table. Airin's eyes reflected on the item Doctor Sujin brought. A moment later, Airin looked at Doctor Sujin again. The young and beautiful doctor then smiled faintly.

"Are you ready? Let's do it now," said Doctor Sujin.

Even though she looked doubtful, Airin nodded in agreement with Doctor Sujin's invitation.

"Are you sure you won't tell Airin about your condition? More or less, the girl has the right to know, Yoonki_ya," said Doctor Chan, sitting with Yoonki in his room and waiting for news from Doctor Sujin.

Yoonki, who was sipping his coffee, looked at Doctor Chan, then shook his head slowly.

"She doesn't need to know about my condition. This has nothing to do with Airin," Yoonki responded.

"But, what if the insemination is successful and she gets pregnant? Doesn't that mean she is carrying your child, Yoonki_ya?" asked Doctor Chan again.

Yoonki was silent hearing Chanbin's question now. His best friend's words were not wrong at all. It is true that until the insemination is successful. So Airin is pregnant with his child, which will be a new problem for him and Airin.
