Chapter 4 The new student.

Thanks to the new alarm clock Scarlett gave me I was able to wake up as early as 4am in the morning. I did all my house chores and prepared breakfast fory family before rushing into my room to take a shower and get dressed.

I removed my clothes and dumped them in my laundry basket before walking to the toilet. The weather is cold today and I can't afford to take a birth with cold water or else I might catch a cold so I tied my towel round my chest and rushed down stairs to get a stainless steel bucket from the store before going back to my room.

I kept the bucket under the shower and turned on the shower to fill the bucket with water.

I was a fire and water gift. I could not only bring out fire and water but can also control them which was something my sisters couldn't do and I wondered why. We were twins and should be able to do whatever the other can do but they could only bring out fire and water while I could not only bring out fire and water but I could also control it to do whatever I want it to do.

Anyways, I heated the water with my fire gift and it became warm so I pulled off the towel from my chest and began to bath.

I was done in less than 20 minutes. I rushed out into my room and took out a pair of worned out jeans and a top. My usuals. I got dressed and took my bag from the bed. I arranged my books in it since I left them there last night as I fell asleep while doing my homework. I will have to finish them before class commence. I took my jacket from the wardrobe and wore my sneakers. They were old and tight but I couldn't change them since I don't have any other oneand I also don't have the money to buy a new one.

I always have to wait whenever Elsa and Lisa got new shoes, then I could use the old ones they had.

After wearing my shoes, I went down the kitchen and took an apple from the fruit basket. I was about leaving when Elsa walked into the kitchen. "Where do you think you are going?" She asked. "Am going to school. I wasn't able to go to school yesterday so I need to go today so that I could submit my homework." I explained.

"Are you done with your chores?" She asked. "Yes Elsa. Your breakfast is in the dinning room I have done all the laundries and also took out all the trash." I replied.

She looked at me with narrowed eyes and walked passed me to the dinning table. She sat on her chair and opened her tray food then she closed it. "I don't want scrambled eggs and toast today. I want a turkey sandwich with fries and banana smoothie." Elsa said folding her arms round her chest. "But Elsa that would take ages to prepare and am almost late for school. You know I have to walk to school since I have no means of transport." I said trying to make her understand.

She stood up immediately and gave me a finger filled sting on my face. "Do I look like I care? You should be thankful that you still got the privilege to go to school. Get me my breakfast now." She said walking away.

Why is the world so cruel to me? I am her twin for goodness sake. I wiped the tears that dropped on my chin. I walked to the direction of the fridge and opened it. I took out all the necessities I needed to prepare her breakfast and began making it.

Half an hour later I was done preparing her breakfast fast and I served then on a dish and replaced the one before. I washed my hands and dry it with a towel.

I was about leaving the kitchen when Mom walked in. "Good morning ma'am." I greeted her with my head bent low. "I heard you talked back at Elsa." Was the reply she gave me ignoring my greeting. " No ma'am I was only trying to make her understand that I will go to school late if I had to make her another breakfast." I said explaining myself. "Next time you are preparing their breakfast make sure you ask them what they wanted before doing anything." She said. "Yes ma'am." I replied. She walked to the dinning table and sat on her chair. "Get me a glass of water." She ordered. I walked to the fridge to get the glass of water she asked for then I handed it to her. "You may leave." I nodded immediately and rushed out of the kitchen to the front door before she changes her mind or before anyone else comes to stop me.

It was already 7:30am and My school was a 20 minutes ride and a 40 minutes walk. Since I had no means of transportation, I had to walk to school to school everyday day. I guess I am going to be late for the first period today.

I thought about calling Scarlett to teleport me to school like the way she did the last time I was late for school but I decided not to. She might probably still be getting ready and I don't want to be a burden to her. Not like she will mind but I just don't want to disturb her with my problems.

It wouldn't rain today and I don't think it will anytime soon so am good.

I got to school a bit late and I walked to my locker to get the stuff I need for my class. I rushed to class and luckily for me. Mrs. Clerk our history teacher was a bit late today so I quickly went to my seat before she comes in.

I was about completing the rest of my homework when she walked in with a guy behind her. "Alright guys,get your butts back to your seats." Mrs. Clerk yelled out to the class and everyone began to move to their seats.

Mrs. Clerk was the schools history teacher and was also our homeroom teacher. She is a very strict and unfriendly teacher. She takes her work seriously and anybody who tries to mess with her, gets disgraced. She doesn't care about the status or Fame. And all the students in gifted high never tries to mess with her.

"Listen up everyone, we have a new student in our class. Can you please introduce yourself to the class young man." Mrs. Clerk said to the new guy.

"Hi. Am Xavier Antonio and am a transfer student from sage high." He replied. "Enough of the small talks take the seat next to flair would you." Mrs. Clerk said and all the class began to yell in disagreement. "And what is that all about." She asked the class and everyone kept silent but the bravest student among raised her hand. "Yes precillia, what do you have to say." Mrs. Clerk said making the whole class turning to precillia's direction.

"I don't think it is right for Xavier to seat next to Flair. Everyone knows she is a weirdo." " And who is she supposed to seat with you?" Mrs. Clerk asked. "Obviously." Precillia replied. "You would definitely suck his life out of his mouth." Mrs. Clerk replied making the whole class burst out In laughter. Mean while ever since the beginning of the conversation Xavier's eyes where all on me until the teacher asked him to go to his seat so she could begin her lesson.

He walked towards me, his eyes now on me again and sat on the seat next to mine. " Hi!" He greeted. "Hi!" I replied trying not to be loud so that Mrs. Clerk wouldn't notice us.

Mrs. Clerk started her lesson and when I was about to begin, I got hitted at the back of my head with a piece of paper. I took the paper from the floor and opened it. In it was another that says "you're doomed." I new immediately that this note was from precillia. Did I ever told you that I always get bullied by almost all the students in school? Well yes especially precillia.

Precillia was the schools football team cheerleader and also the queen bee of the school. She was a twin with the gift of nature and air.

I squeezed the note and threw it on the floor. I new that no matter what she must do what ever she intends to do to me no matter what. All she need is just the Bell to ring for lunch time.

The Bell rang for the next period and everyone in class began packing up to go to their next classes. I stood up as well and gathered all my stuffs. I was about heading out of the class when Xavier called out my name stopping me on my tracks. I turned to him and walked towards me looking at me in the eyes. Ok what's with him?

He stopped when he was close enough and a moved back a bit finding him to close even though he wasn't really that close. "I was thinking you could show me round the school during lunch." He said and I kept quiet. "You see, am new here and am still not familiar with the area. But it's fine if you're not interested. I'll just find someone else to show me around." He added. "No no it's okay. I can show you around. If that is what you really want." I replied. "Great thanks. So what's your next class?" Xavier asked. "Me!, Oh I have maths now." I replied. "Same here. Do you mind me coming with you. I don't know the way and I hate reading maps." He said making me chuckle.

"Ok but I was about going to submit my homeworks." "Fine I will come too." Xavier said. "Sure." I replied and began to lead the way.
