Chapter 6 Meeting For The First Time

At half-past eight at night, the car lights flashed, and the bell rang.

Thi San quickly took the key and ran out to open the gate for the young master.

Because when the door opened, she was standing in the dark, so Thang Vu couldn't see her.

He slowly drove straight into the garage.

When he pulled his suitcase down and turned around, he realized that a petite girl in a blue dress was running toward him.

The young man's brow furrowed slightly. He sighed softly because he thought this girl was brought home by his mother to match him.

- Let me help you carry the suitcase up to the room. - Thi San suggested in a low voice.

Her round face and shoulder-length hair had a few ripples from her hair tie, and her words made him realize she was a new maid from the countryside.

- Let me carry it. You're wearing a skirt. It's not convenient.

Thang Vu pointed the key towards the car and pressed the door lock button, then he leisurely left.

Thi San quietly looked behind him for a few seconds and then she followed him into the house.

Because she was too sensitive, she thought his statement was a reproach. She thought he was blaming her for being a maid, but she was still wearing a dress, wearing lipstick, and putting on makeup. It was not convenient to carry things.

When Thang Vu walked to the threshold of the living room, he saw his mother holding a basket of yellow sunflowers in her hand.

He smiled lightly, put down his suitcase and walked in front of her and received the bright bouquet, and said thank you.

- Thank you, Mom.

- My son is wonderful. I am proud of you. Are you tired? Ten hours on a plane and you still want to drive home by yourself. – Mai Hoang patted him on the shoulder.

- My car is at the airport. I have to drive it back. – He whispered.

- We can get the car tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Mai Hoang smiled like a flower and then she stood on tiptoe to wave to the girl who was hesitantly standing behind Thang Vu.

Thi San suddenly remembered the task that Mai Hoang had assigned before, so she hurriedly ran to them and hugged a bouquet of roses filled with the colors of love and said congratulations and then gave it to Thang Vu.

This act of hers surprised him.

- Oh my god, take it quickly, Thi San will tire of her hands.

Thang Vu immediately took the bouquet because he heard his mother urging him.

What does rose mean?

Does this girl know?

But when he looked at her face, he realized she didn't seem to know it. She was strangely calm.

Thi San herself did not care what the rose meant because she only followed Mai Hoang's wishes to create a cheerful atmosphere for him.

Mai Hoang gave her a bouquet of roses, she gave him a bouquet of roses and if Mai Hoang gave her a basket of sunflowers, she would give him a basket of sunflowers.

As for Mai Hoang, too, she only saw two bright colors of fresh flowers next to each other to make them more colorful, so she bought them.

- Your name is Thi San, right? - Thang Vu asked.

- Yes. - She replied softly.

- Thi San, please take a picture of me and my son.

The phone was quickly taken out by Mai Hoang, then she clicked on the camera application and gave it to Thi San and told the girl that when she saw a beautiful and clear photo, she clicked on the circle icon.

Thi San finished taking a few photos, then she quickly returned the phone to Mai Hoang.

Suddenly, Mai Hoang grabbed her and pushed her to stand next to Thang Vu.

Both he and she were surprised, so they looked at each other with wide eyes at the same time.

- Thi San idolizes you very much. Let me take a picture of the two of you as a souvenir.

Mai Hoang said while touching the phone screen with her finger.

In less than two seconds, the image appeared on her phone. However, the two main characters did not show a smile. Thi San shyly pursed her lips while Thang Vu stood as if saluting the flag. His teeth were not exposed to enliven the photo.

The procedure for giving flowers and taking pictures was completed, so Mai Hoang told everyone to quickly sit down to eat a warm meal instead of having a congratulatory party.

Because she knew her son didn't like loud noises, otherwise, she would have booked a party at a large restaurant and invited many people to congratulate him.

- Thi San, sit down.

Mai Hoang friendly pulled Thi San's hand and pushed the country girl to sit on the chair, then Mai Hoang sat right next to her because Mai Hoang saw she seemed hesitant. Next, the kind woman told Thi San that in the future, the three of them would eat together.

- My mother is right. In the past, the maid used to eat with me and my mother. You don't have to be shy.

Thi San could only obediently bow her head when she heard the two of them speak together.

After she met Thang Vu, she realized he was a friendly man. He didn't look like the apathetic person she had seen on television, so she felt reassured.

Both Mai Hoang and Thang Vu were gentle, so her future days wouldn't be so bad. She just had to work hard and everything would be fine.

The meal took place extremely warmly, although while eating, no one said a word. They just quietly picked up food for each other, but that was enough to show their close affection.

Because Thi San was still embarrassed, she kept her head down and dared not look at anyone. This was the first time she had a meal with a strange man, so her limbs were clumsy. It wouldn't be a problem if that person was the young mistress, but this is the young master.

When the meal was over, Thang Vu leisurely dragged the suitcase upstairs.

Mai Hoang also followed her son.

Thi San quickly returned to her room and took off her flowing dress so that she could easily clean the dishes. She was still not used to wearing a dress. She felt like she was wearing nothing, and she was not confident at all.

Thang Vu quickly took a shower, then he carefully took out his clothes from the suitcase.

He hung the clean clothes in the closet and he took the dirty clothes downstairs to wash.

When he passed the dining table, he saw the beautiful girl who had taken off her flowing dress, and he was a bit surprised.

Even though she took off her makeup, she was still beautiful. That face was very innocent and lovely. She was like a virgin muse in the melodious notes on the piano.

- Please help me wash these shirts by hand. If you put them in the washing machine, they will all be damaged. - Thang Vu put the clothes in the basket and said.

- Yes, Ms. Mai Hoang told me that I can only put clothes used at home into the washing machine.

He nodded in satisfaction and went back upstairs.

Thi San continued with her task.

Her small hand quickly scrubbed the dishes and then cleaned the kitchen floor. When she did these things, she re-imagined the way to the market and the stalls that Mai Hoang showed her because only about seven or eight hours left before she had to carry the basket to buy food.

Upstairs, in a clean room with a faint fragrance of perfume, Mai Hoang had just removed her makeup and applied lotion all over her body.

After she thought for a few seconds, she quickly prepared a few boxes of brand new lotion and put them in a bag. She planned to give them to Thi San to use. She believed that if the maid was white and pretty, fortune would come.

- Mom, it's me.

Two knocks on the door and a voice echoed through the gap in the door pulled Mai Hoang back to reality and out of the intertwined image of a pretty girl with a stack of documents that needed her approval tomorrow morning.

- What is this? Mom's gift, right? - She happily received the small box in her son's hand.

- Right. You are not lacking anything. This is just a little of my affection.

Thang Vu answered, and then he walked into the room and sat down on the chair.

Mai Hoang glanced at her son. Although she did not lack gold and silver jewelry, did her son know that even though he gave her a blue stone ring, she still cherished it?

She did not lack material things, but she lacked affection. Her husband passed away, and she only had one son.

She and her husband were both only children and her parents were also only children, so there were very few people in the family.

Thang Vu's family did not have many descendants like Thanh Phong's family.

- You forced Thi San to transform into a fairy, right? - Thang Vu suddenly spoke, his eyes narrowed slightly to wait for a predictable answer.

- Why do you say that? - She frowned sulkily.

- You regret that dress forever because you can't wear it anymore, right? Thi San has turned back into a country girl with trousers and a white shirt. - He gently interlaced his fingers and glanced toward the door.

- Tomorrow when I come home from the company, I will buy some clothes to give her. Poor little girl, she has no father and her mother is long dead.

Her voice was filled with sympathy for someone, but it was as if she was sad for herself.

She and Thang Vu's father also hoped to have another daughter to make the family happier, but he suddenly fell ill and quickly passed away.

Everything happened so fast that until now, she thought it all seemed like a dream.

- You are remembering my father, right? - Thang Vu said in a low voice.

- Right. Today, maybe he is just as happy as I am. - Mai Hoang reached forward and stroked a small wedding photo in a wooden frame on the table. Her face was both sad and happy.

- Mom, please rest early. I will return to my room. I have accepted the interview invitation for tomorrow morning.

Thang Vu took a deep breath and stood up.

His head was suddenly dizzy, and he almost lost his balance.

Fortunately, he quickly grabbed the edge of the table and tried to keep himself awake. He told himself that he needed to reduce his work schedule to recover his health.

When he returned to his room and he had just touched the doorknob, he noticed that the lights downstairs also went out, and then the sound of soft footsteps tapping on the wooden stairs.

After a while, Thi San appeared.

The white shirt made her stand out in the dark.

- Have you finished your work yet? - He asked.

- I completed it. - She answered.

- The dinner was delicious, thank you.

- That's what I have to do. You don't have to thank me. Good night.

Thi San confusedly said a long sentence, then she bowed to him and opened the door, and rushed into the room.

He smiled and looked at her figure. He did not understand why his mother arranged for her to stay next to his room.

The room located downstairs was originally where the maid lived. Perhaps his mother liked Thi San too much and knew more about the girl's miserable family situation, so she wanted the country girl to become her daughter.
