Chapter 5 Past mistake

Giselle walked towards the room while biting her lips. She was scared of what she was going to do. She stopped and looked behind where Amelia was standing with her two other friends.

"Go Giselle, before I change my mind." Amelia gritted her teeth.

Giselle didn't want to go but she had no choice. The person in the room was dangerous and she knew it. But the girl standing outside was more dangerous for her.

She rubbed her eyes and walked towards the door. As she opened it, she only saw darkness. There was nothing in it. The door closed behind her. She ran towards the door and knocked on it, pleading to let her go.

"Look, who is here?" She heard a voice behind her.

She slowly turned her head and saw Simon standing behind her.

Giselle screamed and sat up. She was breathing heavily. She tried to calm herself but then she lost control over herself and started crying. She cried until her eyes became dry and her throat started hurting.

Simon was sitting in a leather sofa while playing with a crystal ball in his hand. There was a meeting going on in the room while he wasn't paying any attention to anything. Carter Winter cleared his throat to get his son's attention.

"What do you say about it Simon?" He asked him who was looking bored. In past few weeks, a new gang entered the city and was selling drugs without their permission. The gang had connections and therefore they proved a thread.

"Let's kill them." Simon suggested while Carter massaged his forehead.

"Killing is not the solution of everything." He told his son who in response smirked and again start playing with the ball.

"We can find the leader and then we can decide what to do next." Xavier, Simon's elder brother suggested and it looked like his father liked the idea.

Simon rolled his eyes and put the ball on the table.

Ria was waiting for Simon while reading a megazine while Giselle was cleaning the room. Her body was aching due to staying in cold water but still she didn't dare to stay in her room for rest.

"Giselle, is everything alright? You look pale."

Giselle who was dusting, stopped and smiled mindlessly.

"I am alright." She spoke after few minutes.

"Why don't you come and sit with me? We can ......."

Ria was cut off as the door opened and Simon entered inside. He glared at Giselle and quickly changed his expressions as he saw Ria sitting on the couch.

"When did you come?" He walked towards the couch and sat while giving a cold energy while Giselle was still standing at her place not knowing what to do next.

Ria smiled at him before she looked at Giselle.

"Giselle, can you bring me some coffee."

She asked her who nodded and left the room as she also did not want to stay in front of Simon. Who knows what he do to her.

After she left, Ria turned towards Simon.

"I heard about things."

"Like what?"

"About the attack and..." Ria paused while Simon rolled his eyes.

"Stay away from it. You are still young and you should focus on your studies."

"I am not a kid." Simon was a little irritated over her advice while Ria sighed. She stood up as she looked at the time.

"I will go now. I am late from the work." She walked towards the door while Simon stayed at his place. He was not in a good mood right now and she could see it.

She opened the door and at the same time Giselle who was bringing the coffee and was about to open the door was hit with door resulting in spilling the hot coffee on her hands.

"Giselle..." Ria screamed as she saw the hot coffee spilled everywhere while Giselle was holding her hand unable to process what just happened with her while coping with the burning pain on her hand.

"I am so sorry. Are you alright?"

She asked her who looked at her with teary eyes and tried to smile.

"I ...I am alright."

At the same time, Simon looked at them and scoffed seeing the mess.

"No, you are not. Look at your hand. It's going to be a mess later."

Ria worriedly scanned her hand and then make her stand up and brought inside the room. She made her sit on the chair and then glanced a Simon who was acting like he was not in the room. Ria glared at him but he ignored her and picked his phone. Right now he was not interested in helping Giselle at all.

The air of the room suddenly became cold and Giselle shivered. She did not realize where she was as the pain was unbearable making her going numb.

"I... I... will leave now." She tried to stand up so she could leave but Ria was fast enough to push her onto the chair again.

"Are you out of your mind? Look at your hand. You need medicine right now...Parker..."

Ria called the man who appeared in few seconds and scanned the room. It took him few seconds to understand the situation.

"I will bring the first aid box."

He left as he came while Simon got up from the chair. He left the room as he did not want anymore drama while Ria's eyes followed him. He was always arrogant but he never showed this kind of behavior before. There was something going on which she was unable to catch.

She came out of her thoughts as Parker entered the room while a maid start cleaning the room.

Ria took the first aid box and start treating her wound while Giselle's eyes were shedding tears non stop.

She did not know if it was because of the pain from her hand or from her heart.

Her life because a mess and she had no one to share her feelings.

"Is it hurting that much?" Ria asked her who looked at her with her red teary eyes and then shook her head as she tried to smile.

"You do not need to act brave in front of me Giselle."

Ria smiled as she patted her cheek gently. Now she had to talk to Simon about the whole situation."
