Chapter 6 The Argument

"Boss, She left the room a few minutes ago," Sam informed his boss.

The handsome man with dark brown eyes staring at the city through the french windows and taking a sip from his wine suddenly turned to him and asked in a husky voice.

"What about other information?"

"From interrogating the waiter working in the hotel, it has come to know that she had come here for an interview."

"Interview? " He raised his eyebrows and glanced at Sam.

"Yes, boss! But the owner of the bar tried to molest her and to save herself, she smashed a glass bottle on one's head and took a chance, ran away." Sam explained.

After that, what happened next, the man knew very well! So he ordered him without showing any expression on his handsome face.

"Shut down that pub forever."

Hearing the order from his boss, Sam understood that he is doing all this because of that woman.

He is a little curious to see the woman who made his boss like this. But his boss still didn't tell him to investigate her background or even a CCTV camera so at least he can see the face of the woman.

"Yes, Boss." He smiled slightly and bowed his head respectfully before leaving.

On the other side, Rebecca finally reaches her home where her stepmother, her half-sister is waiting for her along with her father!

"Rebecca! My child! Are you okay?" As soon as Rebecca arrives at her house, her father, Mr. Wilson, immediately embraces her and asks her in a contemplative voice.

Tears come to her eyes seeing her father standing in front of her and she hugs him back.

"Dad!"

Rebecca's father works in a large company in a good position, but because of his job, he often has to move out of town and spend more time outside.

He did not know anything about how Rebecca is treated at home.

But he knew that his second wife didn't like Rebecca at all, but there was nothing he could do about that because he had cheated on two women at the same time.

Yes, While he was in a marriage with Rebecca's mother, he was also in an affair with his secretary who is now his second wife. He had not even told his second wife at that time that he was already married. He kept both women in different worlds at the same time and did not even let them know about each other. But one day Rebecca's mother came to know about this when she saw her husband walking in the park with his other woman and two twins.

From that day onwards, Rebecca's mother's health started deteriorating and she passed away within a few months.

The death of his first wife has always been a burden on his heart.

So whenever he got time, he tried to spend as much time as possible with Rebecca.

Growing up, Rebecca also came to know the whole truth and was angry with her father for a long time. Because it is her father's fault that her mother has passed away and because of him, she is facing so much pain today.

But there came a time when his father's health became very bad and he had a heart attack. After losing her mother, the fear of losing her father started haunting her. So she forgot everything and accepted her father again. Now there was no one in her life except her father.

And because of the fear of being left alone, she could never tell her father the truth about her stepmother, and how she treats her.

When Mr. Wilson returns home this morning, he is told that Rebecca has not returned home since last night.

Hearing this, he got very worried and started talking about going to the police station but Mrs.Wilson stopped him saying that this is not the first time that she does not come back at night, she always does this nowadays. Mrs.Wilson even tells about her being fired and how she tried to seduce her owner's son.

But he does not believe the words of his wife and he does not say anything about it.

He would talk to Rebecca himself about all this. He thought in his mind.

Mrs.Wilson did not tell her husband anything about last night's interview as she knew that he would be upset to hear that she had sent his daughter to the bar for waitress work. And last night she came to know about Rebecca's violent actions and thought that today she would teach her a good lesson.

But suddenly due to the arrival of Mr. Wilson in the morning, she decided to hide the matter.

"Dad, I am fine now after seeing you." She said in a low voice.

"Where have you been since last night?" He asked her and she looked at her stepmother who was standing in anxiety.

She coldly stared at her and then smiled at Mr.Wilson.

"I was at my friend's house." She said in a calm tone.

It's not that she wanted to hide her stepmom's crime and didn't want to tell about last night. But the real thing is that if she talked about the interview, she would also have to tell about the unknown person that she didn't want to tell.

But then the voice of her half-sister Chole comes from behind.

"What about your clothes?" She asked in a mocking tone.

On listening to her, everyone's eyes go to their clothes of Rebecca.

"I changed my clothes while coming and these clothes belong to my friend." She knew what chole was trying to say but she could not show any weakness to them.

"So, your friend is so rich that she let you wear a $50,000 dress! " she said with a sarcastic smile.

"50,000 dollars?" Mrs. Wilson's eyes widened and her father also didn't believe what he heard.

"Yes, mom! This dress is a limited edition of the summer collection dress which came to the market one month ago. I saw that dress in fashion magazines. How could any middle-class people afford this price for a dress? And as far as I know, Rebecca has two or three friends who are far below us in wealth. So, how can her friend afford such an expensive dress? " she smirked evilly.

She was fully aware of her mother's plans for the last night and was excited to see Rebecca's pitiable condition but after learning that nothing happened to her and she left that bar safely. She turned extremist.
