VERA'S POV

I looked at my flushed face in the mirror and blew out a long breath. What a good way to start work on my first day! How can he not control himself?

"She's gone completely crazy. Wait! Don't tell me your boss is hot, and he's every woman's dream, and you fell in love with him at first sight... that's an old story. Remember, that brought you your first heartbreak and..."

Hannah looked at me with squinted eyes and examined my neck for signs of malaria or fever. "Maybe you actually have a problem in your head. I will call Dr. Halmes to fix you up," she scoffed.
