Chapter 4 NOMINATIONS FOR THE

Damon's POV

I was very exhausted, I could feel that my body was craving for just a little rest and I couldn't deny it that. I felt a bit better after my little nap, a little bit rested and some energy. I looked at the clock and saw that it was already 6p.m meaning I actually slept longer than I anticipated I would because I slept around quarter to four.

'I might have been so tired then', I figured as I sit up in my bed. 'I can as well hit the gym and and do some workouts', I thought to myself.

I got out of bed, stretched my body and I actually heard my bones crack in my joints and it felt so good. I went to the gym and I quickly got into my gym clothes and started my daily routines. Besides my work, being in the gym is the 2nd best place I would rather be.

After my workout, I went to take a shower, I took all the time I needed since the water was really warm and felt good.

After my shower, I dried up and got out of the shower. I put on my lotion and wore my grey nike bottom and a white muscle top. Then I put on my white nike push-ins. I took my laptop, phone and lpad then went to sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the sunset whilst I work and watch the beach. It's summer so at least the days are long.

I opened my laptop so I could get to work and see if I have any new messages. I opened my email and saw that I had a message from Rick that he had hired a new PA for me. I just closed the email and opened another email from BRITISH PROPERTY Awards (BPA). I opened it and read the email which stated that I had been nominated for some of the Property Awards. It stated that;

I replied the message to show I have received it and closed the message.

I hope this year I will be able to scoop all the awards. And all these companies have been competing in this industry for God knows how long. It's a dog eat dog World, but I have been showing them all who the big dog is. I breath Real Estate, I eat Real Estate, I live Real Estate, and I dream Real Estate because it is basically my life. I have done everything to put myself on the map.

I get startled when my maid places the tray with wine on the glass table. I then poured the wine in the glass and drank it in one go, stood up and went to stand on the balcony. I took a deep breath as I take it all in, the good view in front of me. What else is better than a good view of the beach at night as the sun goes down.

As I stood there, I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket before it started ringing. I took it and as I saw the caller I.D and I just smile. She just brightens my day whenever she calls. I love her so much. I answer the call:

Damon: Lover of my soul. I was just thinking of calling you a bit later. How are you mom?

Mom: Now you are lying to me. If I hadn't called you would not have called and yes I am fine.

Damon: Now that's a lie. You know I love you. I just got busy with work. You know I can't go a long time without talking to you.

Mom: Yes, yes. I know that, but that's not why I called. So I wanted to talk to you about something. When are you coming back to London? I have some concerns.

Damon : What concerns?

Mom: Damon, you know what concerns I am talking about. I am your mother, I worry about you.

Damon: Mom not again. It's fine, I will come home as soon as I come back okay. Don't worry okay.

Mom: Yes darling. Alright, bye bye.

Damon: I love you.

Mom. Love you too.

I cut the call and took a deep breath. I just hope she's not trying to set me up again. I love my mom but sometimes I think she tries too much.

Last time the she girl she set me up with literally refused to get out of my car after I went on a date with here and it took the driver and one of my guards to pull her out. The other one was worse, long story short, she was weird.

Anyway, let me go and lie down, tomorrow is another day.

I went to bed and I was just tossing and turning but in my mind I was just thinking of what my mom had in store for me. I know very well I am not ready to settle down with anyone. Eventually I dozed off. Around 7.45am I was woken up by the sound of my phone buzzing showing there was a new email. I ignored it, I wanted to more time to sleep. If it was important or urgent I would have had a call. Some minutes later I heard a notification again and I eventually got up.

'What the fuck! Who is blowing up my phone this early morning,' I screamed to myself. Last time I checked I don't think I had any business today in the morning. I decided to take a bath and then see what this is about. After my bath I ate my breakfast and took my gadgets with me and set on the porch. It was a beautiful day and I could as well enjoy myself outside and do a little work.

I opened my emails and saw it was from the desk of my PA back in London. I underestimated Rick after all. He actually got an assistant that's quite fast and capable. Maybe the PA is just putting a front will see. I opened the email and saw it was everything I asked for and even my meetings for next week where put in order. I decided to go and have a walk on the beach and let time pass by since I was going to go out later for some golf.
