Chapter 9 Pamela came to live with us.

The next day, Pamela came back home with my kids, I had missed them a lot. Lee ran to me and so did Nelly, I hugged them and lift Nelly.

"Sweetie, how are you doing? I asked

"I'm fine mom, grandma bought this for me," she said showing me a teddy my mom bought for her. I took the teddy bear and admired it.

"This is very beautiful," I said and she giggled. Nelly loves teddy bears and so, she can not have enough of them, that's why any trip to my mom's place will bring her one teddy bear.

"Mom, grandma gave me a talking robot," Lee said and show me how it works. He pressed a regulator and then put the robot on the floor, the robot started walking and talking. Immediately, Fred came back from work. The kid went to him and he put his hand on their heads and asked.

"How are guys doing?" We are fine Dad, the kids said. They started showing him their toys but he did not have much interest in them.

We are still admiring the robot when Ethan came back. The kids rushed into his arms, shouting

"Uncle Ethan, Uncle Ethan" he took Lee up and swiveled him around, Nelly was waiting anxiously for her turn. He put Lee down and took her in his hand, she screamed in excitement, and he swivels her too and she was so excited that she keeps on screaming until he put her down, still holding her until she was okay.

"See my Teddy Bear uncle Ethan," she said showing him the teddy.

"Wow this is beautiful," Ethan said and took the teddy from her and shakes it on her face playfully, Nelly giggled.

Lee put down his robot and put on the regulator and said

" Uncle see, it's moving" the robot walked towards Ethan and he said

"Wow, this is splendid, now let's make it to run," he said and pulls up his long sleeves and knelt with Lee. He pressed fast buttons and the robot walked faster

"Yeeee" Lee said putting his two hands up. We all laugh. Fred can't stand it anymore he left us and walked away.

Pamela my kid sister watched him, her eyes had been on him the moment he came him. Fred looks odd in our midst, he can't take the fact that his children we're already attached to Ethan more than him. So he left.

"Pam thanks for bringing the kids home," I said.

"You're welcome. Sis is Fred alright?" That was when I noticed that he was no longer in the room. So I said

"I guess he must be tried, you know how hard he works"

"If you say so," Pam said.

Ethan, me, and the children were engrossed in our play when Pamela left the sitting room and went up to my room. She saw Fred laying down on our bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"Are you okay?" She inquired. Pamela always has a soft spot for Fred and he too feels the same. Both of them get along very well. He looked up and saw her, he smiled and sat up.

"Pammy" he called, that was what he used to call her.

"Yes, uncle Fred, you don't look okay to me is anything the matter?" She asked.

"Pammy, I am fine, don't worry your pretty head about me. So tell me how was school?" He asked.

Pam pouted, her face not smiling at all,

"but I told you that I have finished my final exams the last time you asked, how can you forget so soon," she said.

"Oh, I am sorry dear, forgive my manners. How can I forget so easily? I will make it up. Tell me anything you want and consider it done." Fred promised.

"Really," she asked looking excited like a spoiled brat.

"Yes, say anything and I will do it" he confirms his promise.

"I want you to buy a movie ticket for you and me," she said, looking deep into his eyes.

The atmosphere became chilling, Fred was taken by surprise, he has never been to a movie with his wife and now Pamela is asking him to do so. He has promised to give her anything she wants, how can he take back his promise? And so he said

Consider it done Pammy, his brown eyes staring intensely at her. Pamela moved closer to him and hugged him. She doesn't know why she was so drawn to this man. His handsome hand hold her for a moment and he pulled away.

"Thank you Uncle Fred", she said and left the room. Fred watched her back.

"Why am I feeling this way?, no it's because I have not been too intimate with my wife lately, I have to seek Rena's attention to stop this feeling before it gets out of hand," Fred said.

Pamela went to her room and sat on the bed.

"Something is not right, Fred is hiding something from me, he is not alright, I can feel it. I will ask my sister to know what is going on" Pamela said and went in search of her sister
