Chapter 5 REVELATION

Jobelle's house is close to the beach and even at midnight, there are still many residents on every corner of the road.

"Pangasinan is no different from Boracay... people are busy and no one sleeps for the sake of the party and other activities," Jonathan said while talking to Jobelle.

The girl was no longer speaking but just listened intently to what the young man was saying, at that point, Jobelle felt peace of mind as she accompanied Jonathan on the long walk.

They all thought that the story was still a long time but Jobelle had already seen their house. The house is small, and the roof is galvanized but the pillars and walls are made of bamboo and wood... a comfortable place to live in the summer season.

The lights in the whole household were off then, her parents must have been sound asleep at that time. They slowly opened the door and walked almost barefoot so as not to make any noise on the concrete floor. The two went to Jobelle's room and there she turned on the light in her room. Her small room is nice, with a bed, study table and electric fan enough for a simple bedroom. Jobelle lay down on the bed for a moment, probably drunk and tired, while Jonathan sat at the long wooden table next to her.

"Thank you Jonathan for sending me home," Jobelle whispered in gratitude.

"It's ok. Don't mention it." Jonathan's eyes were already narrowed, he was fighting for a while because he was so drowsy but he wanted to rest in his seat, he tried to speak but suddenly the surroundings became dark and he finally fell asleep in his seat.

"Are you sure guys that my brother Jay-R is ok?" Dianne was still uneasy as she looked at her wristwatch several times.

"I told you many times before," said AJ and still didn't lose the length of his patience even though the friend's litany was repeated.

"Dianne calms down I'm sure Ms. Jobelle will not let something bad happen to Jonathan. " Marielle assures.

"Just relax because your brother isn't 10 yrs old anymore, besides he's a man. He can handle himself." JM consoled Diane.

"But he's only a stranger in this place." Dianne was still worried.

"Oh come on Dianne he is a tourist who checked in here at the resort, he knows Mr. A in this place despite his power... nothing will happen to Jonathan..they are just afraid of Mr.A. " Jhun Mark interrupts.

"Oh my gosh let's go guys, Jonathan will call when he gets home. I'm sure Rigor and Manang Estrella will hear him outside because their room is nearby. It's better to rest first guys, it's almost 2 am the chickens are crowing. Come on let's sleep. " JM said that they need to rest and maybe Dianne can't do anything at that time but rest, she only reassure herself that it will be safe for her brother to come home. After some minutes left they decided to one by one in their respective rooms to rest.

Jonathan moaned and yawned several times before he stretched out his arms while opening his puffy eyes. He seemed to be distracted for a while until he registered in his mind that he had taken Jobelle to her house and that he had just fallen asleep at a table.

He checked the time on his wristwatch and at five o'clock in the morning, he had to get back to the resort because his strict sister was worried if she was awake at this time. Jobelle felt Jonathan's presence, she got up from the bed and talked.

"Did you sleep well?" Jobelle ask.

"Maybe, Jobelle if it's okay if I leave first... I need to get back to the resort and I'm sure my little sister and my friends are worried especially Mr. A. " Jonathan's weak and almost whispering language so as not to produce any distraction.

"Okay, I'll take you outside," Jobelle responded.

Just like last night, so as not to disturb the sleeping girl's parents they slowly moved out of the house. Jobelle carefully opened the door gate and Jonathan slowly came out.

"Goodbye Jobelle, it is nice to meet you and I'll see you soon." Jonathan tender farewell.

At that point, the girl did not answer but spread her smile on her lips and quickly kissed Jonathan on the cheek.

The young man could not lie down again while his whole face looked red with shame and pity. He felt that his chest was throbbing very hard. Jonathan don't waste any more time, he said goodbye and kissed Jobelle's hands before even quickly leaving her house.

"I don't believe this ....... I report that to Mama and Papa when we get home to Manila." Dianne frowned as she drank the steaming coffee. They were all awake at noon. Diane even heard her brother return early in the morning and enter their room.

"Dianne do not act like you are his mother. Let your brother make friends with other women. Then think that he came home here at dawn, he also thinks that maybe we are all worried about him... he told us before we went back to sleep." Aj said that it would not take long for Dianne to talk to them all regarding what Jonathan had done.

"I was just worried about him AJ... I'm sleepless before. I think that maybe he got drunk at home when ...... Jobelle and .........

"Like we told you... ..stop worrying about him. He is much older and he knew what are the consequences of his actions." For the first time, May spoke about counseling Dianne.

Dianne looked in Mays' direction and then she sighed, somehow the sharp tongue woman also had a soft heart.

"I am sorry... .just now because he showed such an attitude towards a girl... .. Dianne's voice suddenly weakened and calmed down as she had been eating a piece of bread while complaining and resentment.

"I am so sorry guys and my little sister for what I've done... stop being upset." Suddenly, the newly awakened Jonathan interrupted... he greeted each other with a genuine smile, he even gave a high-five to Alejandro and Jhun Mark.

"Sorry for yourself." Dianne pulled up the chair and stood up in her seat ready to turn around and walk out when Jonathan suddenly picked her up.

"Brother what are you doing? Please let me go," she seems to be worried while she was carried by his brother.

"Brother, take me down," Diane shouted and there is no one who begged and acted to stop Jonathan. Their friends start giggling.

"Brother, take me down," she shouted.

"I just let you down if you accept my sorry. Then I went home early in the morning, I took Jobelle and I slept with her.... I fell asleep on the table while she was in bed and we do not even realize that it would be morning then, I woke up at almost 5 am and I knew your eyebrows were meeting again and your nostrils were already smoking so I decided to go home, hahahahaha "Jonathan joked that he knew how to tame his sister.

"Really?" Dianne asked

"Yes ..." Jonathan replied.

"Then let me go,"

"I do not want to, I just throw you in the sea when you lose your temper." Jonathan walked quickly away from his sister and looked like he decided to take her into the sea to throw.

"Hahahaha go ahead and make Diane a mermaid." JM is already rolling on the floor with a lot of laughter while his friends are giggling.

"Brother what? .... take me down....TAKE ME DOWN !!!!!! AHHHHHHHH" Dianne shouted and almost cried with embarrassment.

"As for you, it's only once that I feel affection and love for other people so maybe that is how I took care of Jobelle last night. I don't know but there is something special about her that I can't explain... as long as I'm having fun like I'm nervous... "Jonathan muttered while watching his sister.

"But I care with our family and also with you even though I knew in myself that I am just your half-brother. I don't mind it, I loved our mother because she stood like a real mother, but hopefully as a brother please give me a chance to give love to someone. I knew you were hurt when you found out I broke up with Patrice and I changed... .but to tell you the truth I was also hurt by what he did to Kevin, the truth is she fell in love with a richer man and she told me I wasn't good enough. Maybe I wasn't good enough, so I tried to be a good son and brother and I proved to myself that I could be well even though I've done so many mistakes in my life and then suddenly I met Jobelle last night, she is simple and I feel that she can love me even if she is a simple person. "

"I'm sorry brother I didn't know you feel that way... I was just shocked by what you did last night and it was strange, I am also in so much pain because of what I felt towards Marvin, I didn't see all those years that you were also hurt because you kept a secret from us about your breakup with Patrice but then if you will be happy I'll support you and I love you brother even if you are a half-brother. " Dianne hugged tightly again, she felt Jonathan's love for her.

"I'm also sorry because I didn't tell you and ask your permission properly and I didn't consider your feelings that you are also worried about," Jonathan responded until their little fight ended.

"Oh, there huh you're not angry anymore." Jonathan tickled Dianne on every side as if children were having fun.

"Hey brother, don't you ever make fun of me." and Dianne runs towards the front area of the resort where their friends are to avoid the brother's harassment. They chased each other and that's where the laughter and a bit of bonding ended when they saw Mr. A in front of them together with the guests. They already dressed up the belongings and seemingly left.

"By the way, we bid goodbyes for them, they will leave this morning. " Mr. A said. The other guests were accommodated by the barracks, they simultaneously hugged, shook hands, and waved to the foreigners before they exited the main gate. For a while, Mr.A confronted his friends and waited for the driver of the van.

"By the way... about your cabin cruiser... I already talked to the person who fixes it and your car engine is badly damaged and I think it will take a few more days before it returns to normal. Are you willing to wait? " Mr. asked. A.

"I guess yes sir. We still have a documentary video so maybe we stay for a few more days here." Jonathan replied.

"Great so I see you around. Bye,"

"Bye sir" replied the friends.

The guests are accompanied by Mr. A along with his bodyguards and other staff. They boarded them in a van. Marvin noticed a mysterious shaded man next to Mr. A in the chair.

He asked Manang Estrella for a moment.

"Manang, who is the shaded man together with Mr. A?"

"Ah, Dr. Joel Olaveja, he is a share business partner of Mr. A" Manang Estrella replied.

"Ah," Marvin said.

"Are you done? We will put away the food. " Manang Estrella asked.

"We will help you." Marielle offer.

"Oh no ... it is our job. Rigor, let us take the leftovers. " And Rigor followed by putting away the dishes and cups.

"Dude, how much ...... Jhun Mark stopped for a moment when he felt that the wallet was not in his pocket.

"Oh no. I lost my wallet."

"Maybe you forgot it in the room," Alejandro said.

"No, even though I was drunk last night, I knew it was in my pocket but....

"Maybe you were robbed last night while you were dancing on the dance floor. There are many foreigners in this area and most of them are bad-tempered. " Rigor replied.

"Dude, you're not careful, we're in a faraway place now. We don't know the minds of the people here." Marvin said.

"Oh here! I will pay first, how much Manang? " it was Aj who dared to pay for what they ate.

Although Jhun Mark was disappointed, he seems to have ignored what happened first because he can't even return his money to whoever took it.

"Guys, I think we can set a documentary video from today. What do you think? " AJ asked.

"Well, It's a perfect day... it's okay." Marielle agrees.

"Yeah. That's our purpose here isn't it?" followed by Jhun Mark.

"Wait, Wait, can we use a videocam?" May asked.

"Yeah, I got my Nikon D850 DSLR camera with video included. " AJ climbed up to get his video cam in the bag.

"Right here." He has a proud videocam display.

"So what are you waiting for let us go !!!" Jonathan's voice was an enthusiastic invitation.
