Nelson nodded. The booth had the best view of the London eye and a nice place to have a private talk.
Aria looked at the London eye. " I want to go on that." She said.
" Sure. Let's do that."
" Wait. Are you going to come too?" She asked.
"Why not? We have the entire day. We could ride on it in the evening and watch the sunset.
'Aria please say yes.' He thought inwardly.After giving their orders, they sat in silence.
" So, what do you say? Do you want to come with me on the London eye?" He asked, hoping for her to agree.
" I am not sure". She replied.
" Come on Ari. You'll love the view, I promise."
" Okay fine." Aria said reluctantly.
He jumped up from his seat due to happiness. At that moment he couldn't express how happy he was.
"So, tell me about yourself." He said, immediately composing himself.
" What do you want to know about me?" She asked.
" Anything". He replied.
" Okay. you know my name already. I am 25 years old. My birthday is on the 13th of March. I have a sister. Her name is Joyce and that's all. What about you?" She asked.
" I am Nelson Charles. I am 27 years old. My birthday is on the 1st of January. You have already met my family except my twin siblings." He replied.
Aria nodded. The waiter knocked on the door and entered, carrying the dishes they had ordered.
" Do you need anything else?" He asked.
" No thank you." She replied with a smile.
" I'll be outside. Give me a call if you need anything." The waiter then took his leave.
" What about your parents?" He asked, after serving himself some food.
"My mom died of a heart attack two years ago and my dad is traumatized he is currently in a day care hospital." She replied sadly.
" Oh I am sorry." He said holding her hand.
" No that's fine . Aria said.
" What about your sister?" He asked, he wanted to know more about her.
Before she could reply, Aria's phone vibrated. She looked at her phone.
" I have to take this." Aria pointed at her phone.
" Hey Dante. What's up." Aria said over the phone.
Nelson smile dropped at once hearing the name, 'Dante'.
" Hi Ari. What are you doing now?" Dante asked.
" I am visiting some places in London." Aria replied.
"Aria, I have another call coming in. Have fun. I Love you." Dante said.
" Okay, Bye. I Love you too." Aria replied.
Nelson thoughts ran wild. 'I am going to kill that guy named Danny. How dare he speaks to my woman like this? And what did Aria say, love you too? What is the meaning of this?' He thought.
" Sorry, about that," she said picking up her spoon.
" Is that your boyfriend?" He asked.
" What? No. He is just a friend. We are childhood friends.
Aria's words calmed him down. "So , he is just a friend.
'I was jealous of a mere friend. ' He laughed at his foolishness.
Few minutes later the waiter arrived with the bill.
" Nelson, I'll pay." Aria said.
"You are kidding, right? No, I am paying." He said.
" Let me pay". She said.
" No".
" Nelson".
" Aria".
The waiter looked at the couple. 'They look so cute and perfect together.'
' They were made for each other,Awwwn they are making me shy.' The waiter blushed.
" Ok let's do it this way . I'll pay this time. You will pay next time we go out". He said.
Fair enough" . She argeed.
He smiled. Aria had not realized that he had tricked her.
She had not realized that she had just accepted to go out with him again.
He became excited thinking about his next date with her.
" I'll sure look forward to it". He said.
" Hello, Mr Blake. Julia here."
" Yes Miss Charles." He received Julia call after speaking with Aria.
" Are you free today? Can we meet to discuss the plan for your firm." Dante asked.
" Sure, Mr Blake. Where shall we meet?" She asked.
"How about my office, at 4 pm?" He asked.
"That would be perfect", Julia replied and ended the call.
At exactly 4 pm, Julia was standing at the reception, in Dante's office. The front desk attendant recognized her at once.
" Hello Miss Charles. Mr Blake is expecting you." The attendant said politely.
"Thank you". Julia smiled at her courtesy.
Danny's assistant was waiting for Julia in front of the elevator on the fifth floor. As soon as she stepped out, the assistant greeted her.
" Hello Miss Charles. This way please."The assistant led her to Danny's office.
" Miss Charles, Mr Blake will be here in a minute. Please take a seat." The assistant gestured for her to sit down.
Julia gave him a smile and sat on one of the chairs.
AFTER FEW MINUTES
" I am sorry to keep you waiting Miss Charles." He said entering the office and walked to his desk.
He turned to look at her. He had always admired her for her Independence and confidence. She was quite outstanding in her field of work.
" Have you had lunch, Miss Charles?" I asked.
" Yes, Mr Blake. What about you?" Julia asked.
" Yes, so, shall we get to work? This is the new Sketch I have made. Have a look at it." He handed her my new sketch.
" So, what do you think about it Miss Charles?" He asked.
" This sketch is perfect", Julia said taking a look at it again.
" Thank Goodness". He exclaimed.
Julia laughed. His heart skip a beat listening to her laugh. It was like the sweetest Melody he had ever heard.
" So Miss Charles, shall we start work from next week?" He asked.
" Definitely", Julia replied.
" I'll send you the quote within four days. I need the first deposit after that. Only after I receive payment, will I start the work." He said filling out all the details on his laptop.
" Okay. Send me the details as soon as you are done. I'll wire you the money." Julia said.
He smiled at her and gave her a copy of the agreement. He looked at the time, it was 5pm. " Do you want to have some coffee?"
" Coffee? I could have some coffee." Julia replied.
" Great".
He opened the door for her. " After you".
We went to the coffee shop in front of my office building. We ordered our coffee and waited for it.
" So, anything new with you?" Dante asked.
" Umm, nothing interesting as of now. After my brother got shot, my life had become boring. My parents and brothers had put restrictions on me. I know it's for my safety but it's a little suffocating
What about you?" Julia asked.
" Everything is usual. You can say my life is boring too."
" So, it's two bored people having coffee together", Julia said taking her cup of coffee.
" Anyway, do you have a boyfriend?" He
asked, trying to be as casual as possible.
" Why? Are you gonna try if you find out I don't have one?" Julia asked.
He choked on the coffee listening to her straight forward reply. Julia handed him a tissue.
" Are you alright?" She asked.
" Yes, yes." He replied.
" What about you? Do you have someone you like?" Julia asked.
" Yes, I do. But I haven't told her yet." Dante replied.
Disappoint flashed in Julia eyes. But she immediately hid it. How could she say to Dante that she liked him when he clearly liked someone else?
"Why? You should tell her. I don't think any girl would possibly reject you." Julia said.
" Are you sure?"
" Yes, look you are sweet, caring and quiet handsome and you are rich. You are a full package. Who wouldn't want you." Julia said.
He smiled when I heard her call him handsome.
" Anyway, who's the lucky girl? Is it someone I know?" Julia asked.
" Yes, you know her. Infact nobody knows her better than you do".
" Really? Who is that?"
" It's you, Julia. I like you." He said looking straight into her eyes while Julia looked perplexed.
" Look, I know this might come out as a shock to you. But I have always liked you since the day we met . I like you, a lot actually. But I understand if you don't feel the same about me." Dante said
" I'm sorry. Forget everything I said. Let's just be friends." He said trying to ease the awkwardness.
'Maybe it was a bad idea to tell her about my feelings' He thought.
" No we can't be friends." Julia said and walked out of the door. He immediately followed her out.
" I am sorry".
" Can we talk in your office?" Julia walked away after saying this.
He followed her silently. He didn't know what to do now.
"So, what were you saying before." Julia turned to looked at me and folded her arms.
" I am sorry".
"No before that". She said.
"It's fine if you don't want to be my friend." He said.
"What you said in the beginning." She replied.
" Is it that I like you?" He asked.
" Yes, it is. How dare you?" Julia glare at me.
" I am sorry." He said.
" How dare you say something like this out of the blue. you must give me a heads up first. Do you have any idea how widely my heart fluttered when you confessed?" Julia asked still glaring at me.
" Look I am sorry. Wait. What?" He looked up to see her. Did he hear her correctly.
" You idiot. I like you too . Julia immediately hugged him.
" You scared the shit out of me," He said hugging her back.
"Oh, it's fun to look at your worried face." Julia said patting him on his back.
" You are wicked".
" And you are cute". She replied.
" Do you have any idea how scared I was? I thought you were angry with me." He asked.
" Sorry dear". She replied.
" No. You deserve a punishment." He said holding her closer.
" For what crime?" She asked.
" For almost killing me due to tension." He replied.
" And what would be my punishment?" She asked.
" Ohh we will see about that."
" Do you have any place you want to visit?" Nelson asked starting the car.
" Uhmm. Do you have somewhere in mind? Before that, yes I have some shopping to do". She said putting on her seat belt.
" Okay then. How about this? Let's go to the place I want to take you to and then we will do some shopping. After that, we will take a ride on the London eye and we will end the day having dinner. Is that fine?" Nelson asked.
" Yes. I am fine with it." She said absentmindedly.
" Perfect". Nelson smiled.
" So, what are you doing here in London?" Aria asked.
" I have a business meeting to attend." Nelson lied. How could he say he made this trip just for her.
" Nice. Anyway, have you known Davis for long?" She asked.
" Yes. We are childhood buddies along with Jo and Josh." He replied.
" You mean the famous Jo and Josh?" The inseparable twins." She said now all her attention was completely on Nelson.
She observed that even from the side, he looked deadly handsome.
"Have you met them?" Nelson asked.
" Yes once." She replied.
" Are you in a relationship?" Nelson asked looking at me.
" No". Aria replied.
Her answer made Nelson very happy. He smiled brightly, flowers started to bloom in his heart.
" Why?" Nelson asked.
" I never got time for that kind of stuff." She said.
" So, you mean to say you have never been in a relationship before?" Nelson said.
He could not stop smiling. If his plans are successful,then he would be the first man in Aria's love life and preferably the last too.
" Yes. Is it something bad?" Aria tilted her head a little.
She looked so adorable with her head tilted that it was making him feel things he had never felt before.
" No. No. Absolutely not." He said.
" How about you? How many girls have you been with? She asked.
"Other than casual flirting and one night stands, I have been with only one woman before." He replied honestly.
" That was less than I expected". Aria said shaking her head.
"Did you think I would have a lot of failed relationships?" He asked.
Aria remained silent. He laughed at her cuteness.
" So, here we are", He said, giving her a smile.
" What place is this? Aria asked looking at her front.
" This is the Garden. You'll love it". He said, holding her hand.
By now, Aria was already used to him holding her hand. In fact she liked how their hands perfectly fit into each other.
His warmth was making her heart fultter.
There was nobody around. His men had made sure of it. " Do you like the place?" He asked.
"Nelson, this place is amazing." Aria was so happy that she immediately hug him.
He was so shock, he didn't know what to do. The girl he had taken a liking to was finally in his arms. But before he could hug her back, she had released him
Aria walked around, looking at all the flowers and trees, while he followed her with a smile.it was a dream come true for him.
" Thank you Nelson for bringing me to such a beautiful place." Aria said.
" There is a lot more you have to see before the end of the day." He replied.
Aria stared at him. She had never felt this happy since her sister went missing.Nobody had ever made her feel this special. She did not know how it felt to be in a relationship. But now, after spending time with Nelson, she realized that it was not actually bad to have some one who cared for her.
Aria was staring at him. He knocked her forehead. " Hello, Aria come back to earth."
" Quch." Aria rubbed her forehead in pain.
" What was that for?" Aria asked still rubbing her forehead.
" To bring you back from your wonderland. Does it pain alot?" He asked a little worried.
" What do you think?" She asked.
" Let me take a look." He leaned in to take a look at her forehead. His eyes immediately met hers and he gazed at her intently.
He immediately pulled back looking at how close they were, their lips were just an inch away from each other.
Aria looked away in embarrassment. Her cheeks were as red as a tomato.
He would have loved to kiss her. But he didn't want to scare her away. He would kiss her senselessly the day she confesses her feeling for him.
"Hey, Grandma." Davis greeted as soon as he entered the house.
" At least you have come to meet me. My unfilial grandson has not visited me." Grandma complained.
Davis chuckled. The old woman looked like a cute little girl who had been refused his favorite snack.
" Grandma that's not the case. Julia and Julie visited you in the morning right. He said.
" I am not talking about them. You know who I am talking about?" Grandma said.
"Grandma, he would have come meet you if he was in the city." He tried to calm her down.
" Where has he gone?" Grandma asked looking at him.
"He has gone to London." Davis replied.
" Why?" She asked.
"He had a business deal to complete." He said.
"Are you saying the truth?" Grandma kept asking questions.
"Why would I lie to you, grandma?" He asked.
" Give me my phone." Grandma pointed at her phone on the table.
He handed her phone to her and stood beside her thinking about what the old woman was up to.
" I'll confirm it with Nelson." She dialed Nelson number only to be rejected at the first ring.
" How dare this grandson of mine reject my calls?" Grandma was annoyed. She then dialed Roland number.
"Hello, Madam", Roland answered on the second ring.
"Where is my grandson?" Grandma question immediately.
"Madam, Boss is in London", Roland replied.
" Why?" She asked.
" He had a business meeting to attend." Roland replied.
" Give him the phone right now. I want to talk to him." Grandma said.
"Madam, Boss is very busy." Roland said.
" I don't care. Give him the phone right now." Grandma commanded.
He was hearing everything. He realized that at this rate grandma would find out Nelson true Intentions in going to London.
" Madam, I cannot give him the phone." Roland said.
" Why?" She asked.
" Because I am not with him." Roland replied.
There was silence for a few minutes. "Madam". Roland called out.
" Madam". He called out again.
" What do you mean he is not with you? Tell me the truth. Don't you dare lie." Grandma warned.
" Madam, Boss has gone on a date." Roland cried out.
" Did you say he has gone on a date?" Grandma said.
"Yes Madam." Roland said.
" Who is that woman?" Grandma asked.
" She is a Doctor at Dr Davis hospital." Roland replied.
Grandma looked at Davis, making he fear the worst.
" Send me her photographs right now." Grandma order.
"Yes Madam." Roland said.
Grandma ended the call. She kept looking at Davis.
" Is there a problem grandma?" He asked.
" Do you know that woman?" She asked.
He understood that she was referring to Aria. He nodded. " She is my colleague". He said without looking up.
" What do you know about her?" She asked.
" Hmm. Her name is Aria West. She is my colleague. In fact she is the one who treated you first when you fainted in the hallway. She is an amazing Doctor and as far as I know she has never dated anyone before." He said.
At that moment, Grandma's phone rang.She looked at the photographs sent by Roland. It was of Nelson and a beautiful girl sitting in a garden.
"Is she the one?" Grandma showed him the photos.
" Yes, that's Aria." He said.
" Well done". Grandma exclaimed.
He stared at the old woman dumbfounded. Did she by chance hit her brain when she fell? Why is she so happy? He looked at her and she was smiling like a fool.
" Grandma, is everything alright?" He asked worried.
" I am so happy today. Finally, my grandson has found himself a good girl." She replied dancing.
Grandma looked at the photos Roland sent him and sighed, "My granddaughter in-law is so beautiful and cute."
" Grandma, but can you be sure she is the one?" He asked.
" If she is a wicked person, you would never allow Nelson to go for her." Grandma said.
" Awwn. look at these two. They look so perfect together. With these two having extraordinary outstanding genes, I wonder how my great grandchildren will be. They will definitely be adorable and cute." Grandma said.
He choked on his own saliva. Nelson and Aria relationship hadn't even crossed the stage of friendship and this old woman in front of me was already planning how her great grandchildren would be.
" Unbelievable." He thought.
" How many children will these two have? I would want them to have as many as possible. it is still for them to decide." Grandma said still looking at the picture.
" Grandma. Grandma. Let them start dating each other first. Then we can think about other things like marriage and kids." Davis said.
" You are right. First my grandson needs to make her his woman. But there is nothing wrong in thinking about the future right?" She asked.
They sat next to each other. She looked around they were only six people inside the capsule. She turned to look at Nelson but he didn't seem bother.
After their beautiful time at the garden, they had gone shopping. While she shopped for Gina, Danny and Davis, Nelson just gave her company.
After shopping for one hour, they had some drinks before going to the London eye to watch the sunset.
The capsule started to move and she looked outside. She could see the building below her.
She gasped at the sight in front of her. She was so excited and didn't know when she held Nelson hand.
He stared at their intertwined fingers and smiled. He had booked one complete capsule for only the two of them. But he thought she would be suspicious so he allowed four of his guards to accompany them.
Aria did not know that the four people were his men. The four guards in the capsule were taking pictures of them.
" Excuse me." One of my guards said gaining their attention.
'What is this guard of mine up to. I don't remember telling him to walk up to us.' He thought staring at him.
" Oh my. What a lovely couple. Do you want me to take your photographs? I am a worker here." He said.
" Nelson, let's take a picture together. We haven't taken one since". Aria said.
Nelson smiled at her innocence. She had no idea that he had taken a lot of pictures without her knowledge.
" Okay. Sure." He replied.
" Lovely. Now if both of you would move closer." The guard motioned for them to come closer.
Nelson moved closer to Aria.
"Still close." The guard said focusing his camera.
He took another step towards her. This time their shoulders were touching each other.
" No. No. There is something missing". The guard said.
Nelson immediately understood what he was trying to do.
" What?" Aria asked.
Nelson put his arms around her shoulder and pulled her close to him. Aria looked at him surprised and the guard captured this exact moment.
" Perfect. You both look so perfect together." He commented.
Aria blushed at the compliment and Nelson gave the guard a nod of approval.
After thirty minutes of the ride, they got off and walked towards his car.
" So, where are we going now?" Aria asked expectantly.
Unknown to her, she was looking forward to their next destination. Accompanying Nelson to visit places in London had indeed made her day Interesting.
" Next we are going to have dinner". He said.
" Okay." She replied.
Half an hour later they were having dinner in a small restaurant.
" Umm. This is so delicious." Aria moan in delight. Some of the food was stuck on her lips.
It made him want to lick it off her lips.Yet, he controlled himself and took a tissue. He carefully wipe her lips.
Nelson action made Aria's heart skipped a beat. Her face became red at once. She lowered her head and started to eat her food at a faster pace.
He laughed inwardly looking at her red cheeks. He knew he was affecting her.
He smiled, he was slowly finding his way into her heart.
They finished having dinner talking about random things. She realized that she was enjoying Nelson's company.
"So, how did you like today?" Nelson asked.
"It was very good, Nelson. I enjoyed it alot." Aria replied.
" Me too". He said.
" Thank you so much".
" Anytime lady". Nelson said in a deep voice.
" So, are we good to go ?" Sheasked, picking up her bag.
"Yes". Nelson said getting up.
They drove along the roads of London street. There was still some time before the clock strike 11. She noticed a small ice cream shop.
" Nelson stop." Nelson pressed on the brakes at once.
" What happened Aria?" Nelson asked.
" Let's have some ice cream," she said and got down.
She ran to the Ice cream shop with out waiting for Nelson.
" What flavor do you want?" She asked as soon as he approached her.
" I don't eat ice cream." Nelson said.
"What". She asked.
" Yes"He said.
Few minutes later, they were inside the car, driving back to the hotel where Aria stays.
" Nelson, have a taste. This is so good." Aria held her spoon in front of him.
He wanted to say no but he immediately got and idea so,he ate the ice cream.
"You were right. This ice cream is indeed delicious." He said with a satisfied smile.
'Did we kiss indirectly just now?' He wondered, while his heart was dancing in joy.
Aria kept feeding him the ice cream until they emptied the bowl. By then they had reached the hotel.
"Thanks a lot Nelson for making my day wonderful." Aria said when they were standing at the entrance.
" No problem." He said.
" Good night Nelson". She said and hugged him.
"Good night Ari". He replied this time hugging her back.
He didn't want to miss hugging her like before.
" Ok. See you around". She said and walked into the hotel.
He smiled in satisfaction. 'Oh Aria what have you done to me?' He sighed.
She laid on her bed as soon as sheentered her room. She thought about everything that had happened the entire day.
Her heart flutter thinking about Nelson."Wow. He is so good. He was so sweet to me. I am so attracted to him." But, she suddenly stood up and said out loud
" I AM ATTRACTED TO HIM."
