Chapter 5 Koala

Dawn broke, shafts of sunlight fell on the slanting roof of the house

caressing the white flowers bloomed over it. Aaron jumped up from the sleep by hearing a screech. Their room was not locked, Emily didn't locked them as they were now more friendly. Aaron and Evan were planning to spent some more time in the island till the suspension period is over and then leave in their yacht.

Evan startled in his sleep as the screech reverberated in the house, Aaron turned around and saw Carter descending down the stairs two baby koalas huddled in his hands, they were screeching aloud.

Blake was on the foot of stairs jumping with joy seeing the koalas, "Give them to me" he said clapping and jumping exuberantly.

"Where did you get them from?" Emily asked.

"I got them from the periphery of the mysterious forest" he extended the baby koalas to Blake "here"

Blake grabbed one fondly, Blake caressed it's soft fur, other koala looked up at Blake and started to cry. So Blake picked up him as well.

one baby koala bit Blake's hand "ouch" he cried in agony, blood oozed from his finger and he drop them both instinctively. "Ha...ha..."Oliver laughed aloud seeing this. When something bad happens to his little brother it always makes him glad.

Blake threw a glare at Carter rubbing his injured hand.

koalas were fighting with each other at this time, they were screeching and rolling on the ground like two fur ball, huddling each other.

"Look at them they are so adorable, Blake loves koalas" said Carter by looking at the baby koalas.

"And they are more adorable when they bite." scoffed Oliver. "Give them some food." Carter said to Emily "They love eucalyptus"

He said by caressing one koala "They are very wild and they bites. perhaps we shouldn't keep them" she said by rubbing Blake's hand.

"We will tame them, first get me some eucalyptus" Carter said

"Alright." she replied.

"What is that?" Blake asked to Evan gazing at the camera. Evan looked around "What?"

"That thing" Blake pointed at the camera.

"Oh, it's a camera" he said by grabbing the camera.

Blake extended his hands for the camera. Evan passed it to him

"What is it for?" he asked by staring at it.

"For taking photos."

Blake grabbed it from Evan's hand and began to pound it on the ground like a coconut.

"No..no..don't do that, it's not how it works, I will show you how it works" Evan said hastily and grabbed the camera.

"Come here " he throw his hands over Blake's shoulder and took a photo.

Then he showed the photo to Blake.

Blake stared at the photo for a while "This is like you." he said by looking at Evan's image. "But who is this one?" he said by pointing at his own image.

"You"

"Me?"

"It's your image, this is how you look."

"Look at this, this is my family's photo" Evan took out a photo from his pocket, it was family photo of Evan Aaron and their father and mother. His father was a bald old man wearing a tuxedo and Sunglass, and his mother was with brown short hair wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans

"Who is this hooman?" he said by pointing at his fathers picture.

"That's my father, Jason taylor "

he gazed at the photo curiously.

Emily ambled into the room.

"I am going to get some eucalyptus for the koalas, who is coming with me?" Emily said by looking at Evan "I will show you something interesting on the way" she said.

"Come Aaron let's go with her." Evan muttered to Aaron.

"You coming?" Aaron turned towards helmsman.

"Sure, if it is something interesting like the cascade" he rose to his feet.

Evan Aaron helmsman were following Emily, she walked for a while and then halted beside an eucalyptus tree, it was very tall and the branches were at a certain height. "How would we pluck some?" she said by looking upward.

"I will get them" Evan said by raising his hands and started to climb on the tree, he then sat on a branch and then plucked few stalks of leaves and then tossed it to the ground.

Emily picked it up gladly "thank you, you are very helpful you should stay in the island forever."

Aaron chuckled "Sorry, we can't. Our family will be waiting for us"

"Is that enough? May I come down?" Evan asked from the tree top.

"Yes...yes...it's enough. Thank you. " she said looking upward.

He descended down the tree slowly. "Ok, let's go I will show you something." she walked forward with the bunches of eucalyptus in her hand. They walked through the forest and she halted beside the wall with inscriptions of the animals.

"Look at these images, these are the animals which resides in the mysterious forest"

"Yes we noticed this wall when we came here"

"This one is the unicorn, although it's in the mysterious forest dwelling with other vicious creatures, it represents purity and innocence"

" It's horn has the power to heal any illness. But It cannot be tamed by even strong men, it can be only tamed by a lady."

"One of the Bellators is female and she have a tamed unicorn, and she travels in it. You will see when she arrive."

She walked towards the image of the bird beside it "You have seen this one already."

"Isn't it the same bird which burned into ash at the tree house?" Evan asked intriguingly.

"Yes. the phoenix, it will live for five hundred years. And it's tears have the healing power as you saw."

Aaron gazed at the scar on his hand, and stroked it slowly.

"This one is the most dangerous of all" she pointed at the nearby image "It's the dragon it has wings and it will spit fire and burn anyone who goes nearby it, sometimes it's screech is heard from the mysterious forest"

"Does it come to the village and attack the inhabitants?" inquired Evan worried.

"Even if it comes Bellators will handle it and protect us. So no need to panic about it. Bellators are powerful enough to handle the dragon"

She pointed at the next carving "This one is the griffin, half eagle and half lion, this mighty creature is the king of all animals."

"And this is the kitsune, each hundred years they will grow a new tail, so when they are nine hundred years old, kitsune will have nine tails. They are very intelligent creatures."

"What kind of animals is there in you place?" she asked curiously.

"er.....cats, dogs" Evan replied.

"Cats? Oh... I have never heard of it. are they vicious?"

"Yes ..yes... they have these sharp fangs, and they roar it's voice is defeaning." Evan said.

Aaron fought back his laugh with a cough.

Suddenly something else at a distance caught Emily's attention.

"Isn't that Oliver?" Emily's craned her neck.

At a distance Oliver was fighting with some other elves. He was rolling on the ground grabbing one elves neck.

"I will go get him" she darted towards Oliver

"Oliver stop fighting..." she shouted aloud.
