Chapter 6 Her Hidden Talent

As the SUV stopped in front of the college. Amelia glanced out of the car's window. Watching numerous cars drop students and some walking on foot inside the college, she suddenly had a pounding headache.

Turning to glance at Dan, she narrowed her eyes and asked, "Why do I have to go to school again?"

Dan who has his head lowered and was typing away on his phone paused, lifting his head, be chuckled at the pityful face of Amelia.

Putting away his phone, he leaned forward and pinched her right cheeks with two fingers. "Because you need to complete schooling"

"How about I only write the exams?" She suggested with a hopeful look.

The man shook his head slightly, retracting his hand, he replied. "No, it's good for you to go to school. In that way you won't miss the vital part of growing."

Seeing the man wasn't ready to yield to her, a resigned Amelia could only sling her backpack on her shoulder, proceeded to open the door and alighted.

"I will pick you after school" Dan smiled but met a cold glare.

"No need"

As he watched the girl's retreating figure, he could only signal his driver to drive out.

As Amelia walked in, she felt a vibration in her pocket but waited until she got to the classroom.

Ignoring the numerous gazes on her, she took out her phone to check who called earlier. Seeing the name 'Clinton Ford', she could only lower her head and open her message.

Sure enough, the man had left her message. After reading it, there was no visible change of expression on her face.

Raising her head, she watched a male teacher walk in. The man's eyes clashed into hers and he shivered in fright at the sudden exchange.

Amelia took her eyes off him like tho nothing happened, fixing it on the electric board, only then did the man regain his composure.

Seeing how intently Amelia was during the chemistry class, one of her classmates stepped forward timidly.

"Hello"

Amelia who's eyes were droppy and had been preparing to lay her head on the desk flew open instantly. Her eyes which had a faint streak of red in its white, instilled fear in the girl.

"I'm s–orr–y for inter–rupting" the girl muttered stupefied.

Amelia who had a quick temper and was growing impatient couldn't help snapping. "Go straight to the point!"

Startled, the girl took out her book and hurriedly flipping to a page sat on the empty seat beside her, "Over here, the doctor explained something about redox reaction."

Amelia narrowed her eyes at the girl, refusing to take her eyes to the notebook on her desk.

"What makes you believe I'd have the answer to your question?"

"During the class, you paid so much attention that I thought you had it all figured out. I'm sorry if I'm mistaken" the girl muttered and made to stand up.

Amelia didn't try to stop, she only took the notebook and a pen, and scribbled something on it. Some minutes later, she was done. Shifting the book a little further, she placed her head on her desk not forgetting to put on an earphone.

The girl grabbed hold of the book and walked back to her seat reluctantly. She had wanted to thank her but the latter had turned her face away.

Before the bell for closing went off, the class's form teacher had walked in and announced a test the following week.

While everyone grunted in displeasure, Amelia who didn't seem to hear as she had a headphone around her head and a loud song booming through it.

Xander who seemed to notice the situation. No, he had noticed she wouldn't hear as he had been watching her the whole day, raised his hands.

The form teacher smiled at seeing him raise his hands. Pointing at him, she beckoned him to go on.

Grabbing his notepad, he wrote out a few words. Reading it, the form teacher's eyes shot to the back seat.

Amelia was naturally tall which was why she was assigned to the back seat. The spot where she sat was kinda hidden which made it difficult for the teacher to sight her.

The woman whose name was Gianna Scott and the youngest teacher in the whole school. Maybe because of her age and inexperience, the other classes often bullied her in a subtle way and this hadn't escaped Amelia's notice.

Walking to her, Gianna tapped Amelia's shoulder's. The girl who had her head placed on the desk, her eyes downward watching her phone as she played a shooting game on it, paused.

Her shoulder had covered her phone properly which gave people the impression she was asleep. Turning off the game, she raised her head and took off her headphone.

"Miss Scott?" Amelia called out, a faint smile on her lips.

"You seem tired Felicity, is everything alright?" Gianna asked in response.

Only then did Amelia feel everyone's gaze on her. Glancng at the time on the wall clock, she reckoned the woman had probably come to give them a heads-up about something.

"Yes ma'am. I was having a throbbing headache earlier so I decided to rest my head but I'm fine now" she quickly thought of something and said.

The woman found no reason to doubt her so she believed her effortlessly.

"Alright then. It's good that's you're fine now. I was giving the class news of the upcoming exams next week."

Amelia muttered an 'oh'. The woman nodded and walked back to the front of the class where she stood another thirty minutes explaining more things which Amelia didn't seem to view as important.

Soon, school closed and Amelia walked out of school. Just as she requested, Dan didn't come to pick her up neither did he leave a car for her to drive. She rolled her eyes knowing clearly he was trying to punish her.

As she walked on the road, she felt a continuous buzz in her pocket. Taking out her phone, she sighs at the caller.

"What do you want?" She asked boredly after answering it.

The man at the other end scoffed, "I called you three times and I sent numerous messages which to viewed but didn't reply and you ask me what I want?"

Amelia frowned, with a calm voice she warned. "Be careful how you speak to me"

The words were enough to shut the man up and his angry deposition dissipated.

"Good" she applauded reaching into her pocket to take out a lollipop, unwrapping it, she plunged it into her mouth and continued, "My reason for not calling or replying messages was the fact I was in school"

The man who had just put something into his mouth and was currently chewing it delightful choked on it. Taking hold of the cup of water on the table, he drank from it.

After getting himself, he cautiously asked, "Did you say you were in school?"

Amelia took out the lollipop from her mouth as she said coldly, "Do you have anything to tell me Clinton Ford?"

The man who had noticed the change in her tone grew alarmed. He was no stranger to the short temper of the girl.

"I'm in need of a choreographer. Was wondering if you could fill in for me?" His subtle voice came up.

Amelia put on a thoughtful look as she walked into a street. Poking the lollipop back into her mouth, she asked thoughtfully, "What's the pay?"

Clinton gave off a sigh of relief. Although young the girl was a money monger and he knew very well she could back out if he gave a low price.

"I'll split the profit I make into two, 50-50." The man replied.

Hearing him, Amelia narrowed her eyes. Clinton was quite popular and she had a vague guess she'd get a lot.

"Alright, when and how long would the shoot take?" She asked stopping before a magnificent gate. Raising her hand, she made to knock on it but it got pulled open by a man on a security outfit.

Amelia stared at him with a smile, she mouthed a greeting which the old man nodded appreciatively to.

"That would be on Thursday and the shoot will take at most 3hours" Clinton replied from the other end after going mute for some seconds.

"Oh, alright then. Coincidentally, I'm free on that day. Perhaps something might come up on that day" Saying that, she ended the call leaving the man on the other end bewildered.

Putting down his phone, Clinton turned to look at his manager behind him.

"You-" he started out but paused trying to recollect what just happened, "Did she just say she hopes something might come up?"

His manager who heard her as well nodded.

"But I thought we came to the conclusion I'll split the profit with her?" Clinton asked again.

The manager who had been trying to stifle his laughter, laughed out.
