Princess Xenaia Valentin lingered outside to her room's terrace to stretch her muscles. The royals and the authorities continued discussing the matter of the missing ladies for almost more than two days already. She walked by extending her arms above the sky and turning her head from side to side. She yawned and shook her head while wearing a violet waterfall dress that reached her ankles and had pearl jewelry that matched her earrings and necklace. Those sparkling accents with a glitter-like appearance fall just there, at the very bottom of her dress, almost touching the ground.
When Princess Xenaia's butler, Zairus Adams, learned from his twin brother that she was loitering around this enormous castle without anyone accompanying her, he quickly rushed to her location by making use of her werelord power to smell her presence. He was able to tell where she was because she had been emitting a strong scent. This sniffing skill would only activate any creature that had even a trace amount of werewolf blood running through their veins, even if it just made them capable of becoming a werewolf with a tiny proportion of the blood. Even though Princess Xenaia is a result of numerous hybrids from her ancestors exactly like werewolves and lycans, the werewolf blood in Princess Xenaia's body predominates, and just a small percentage of lycan blood can be found throughout her body.
It was as if the prevailing issue had never been there as Princess Xenaia felt the wind of the chilly air stroking across her face. She lifted herself slightly off the ground by standing on her tiptoes and draping her face with a few strands of her hair while doing so.
"Your Highness, Princess Xenaia, it is my duty to introduce my presence to you." The butler had arrived, and he paused just outside the entrance that resembled a window leading to the terrace. After seeing that she was unharmed and still in the vicinity, he let out a breath of relief. Knowing that he needed to be careful when it comes to protecting the princess caused him to constantly worry about her predicament and led him to overthink the matter from time to time. He bowed half-way and waited for the princess to have a word.
After seeing his face and hearing his words, the princess finally opened her eyes and let out a sigh of exasperation. She showed her irritation by tightening her lips and clenching her teeth at the back of it. She looked away with shoulders dropped in annoyance.
She started by taking a few deep breaths in and out and then worked on persuading herself to keep a pleasant attitude. She put on a phony smile and proceeded to give herself a pep talk. "Xenaia, you have to keep your composure. Since you are a princess, you need to conduct yourself in a refined manner..." After that, she gave herself two quick taps on the chest before turning to face her butler with her hands pressed together in the middle of her tummy.
She walked towards him while keeping her chin raised and her back straight, and she complained, "You did find me that fast. You are not giving me sufficient room to take a breath and enjoy life." Even though she was smiling, the butler could tell by the tone of her voice that she was still irritated.
The butler's respect for the princess became more obvious until she realized it. She rolled her eyes and let out a frustrated sigh at the same time. She then gave him instructions, telling him, "Fine, you may rise up and face me." The butler assumed a stance that was consistent with what anybody would anticipate from him in his capacity as a personal bodyguard as well. After their eyes had made contact with one another, the princess arched her eyes once again.
After perceiving the princess' superior mannerism, Butler Zairus immediately went into an apology mode and said, "I am sorry for interrupting you, your highness."
Princess Xenaia sneered at him as she crossed her arms in front of her chest replying, "You usually say that, but you are not changing at any point." She gave him the cold shoulder for a few spittle seconds while giving him the side eye and making a tsk sound with her teeth. The butler described experiencing more inspiration to perform to a higher standard as a direct consequence of her looking at him from head to toe. Because of the height difference between them, he tilted his head even farther upwards, despite the fact that he was no longer able to see the princess from his straight viewpoint.
Princess Xenaia began to move to the side while seeming to avoid stepping on her dress by walking in an elegant manner. The butler made a mad dash to get behind her and start following her. The moment the princess cast a glance in his direction, he paused. When she finally had the opportunity to observe his response and halt again, she found that he continued to halt in the same way. Because of this, she began to make lines in her own face, and she had the impression that she was starting to have discomfort in her neck.
"I don't understand why you still continue to follow me. Since I am currently in my own house, I am not in any danger. Look at me, look at me!" While she was facing him, the princess grumbled as she stamped her foot thrice and gripped her fingers.
The butler provided a response, saying, "This is for your own safety."
The princess jerked her head back, which caused her to trip on her dress by mistake, which nearly led her to tumble to the ground. However, the butler immediately grabbed her back and elbow before she could totally lose her balance and fall to the shiny surface.
Accidentally, the princess glanced over at the butler, and he still had the same emotionless expression on his face as before, as if he were incapable of experiencing any feelings. She sped away from him as soon as she could and waved her hands in front of him to create some space between them. She instantly turned around and continued walking away as if nothing had occurred while she acted as if it had. As soon as she became aware of the butler's presence that was still following her, she abruptly spun around and held up her index finger in front of her, acting as if she wanted the butler to be quiet and at the same time to cease following her.
"Don't you ever dare," she condemned. Her eyes widened.
Before deciding to follow after, the butler gave her some space to get a reasonable distance in front of them both. He sighed deeply as he turned around to peek at her back. She positioned her hands behind her waist and began humming a tune to herself. When the princess was about to turn at the blind spot in the hallway, the butler made the decision to follow her
Later on, they discovered that they had to wander beyond the garden area that was enclosed by these tall walls for a range of perhaps fifty feet or more. When Princess Xenaia arrived, she was met by a swarm of birds flocking their wings and butterflies, each of which flew in a unique hue and made a unique humming sound. She approached her devotees and sniffed them roughly in succession as she moved around the area. Carrots were offered as a welcome gesture by a rabbit family that approached her and moved closer to her feet. The land was covered with crops and a wide variety of plants, each of which required a certain kind of soil to thrive. These fields were kept only for the royal family, however, since the common citizens also maintained their own farm and supplies.
The princess greeted the father rabbit and his companions by bending down low and saying, "Oh, hey there Mr. Rabbit." The butler did nothing more than stand by the door and avoid coming too close to her. However, he did make it a point to fix his gaze on her at all times, regardless of where she was or what she was doing.
These rabbits communicated in a language that could only be comprehended by themselves while pointing their fingers at the surrounding walls. At first, Princess Xenaia could not understand what they were talking about, but she eventually realized that they were speaking about the city that was beyond the walls. Since of this, she got the idea that they wanted to spend the whole day wandering throughout the entirety of the city. Well, why not? She was becoming weary of hovering over her royal responsibilities.
"Oh, you wanted me to join you in enjoying the lovely weather outdoors, is that right?" She asked the bunnies with a joyful spirit. The princess broke into a smile as she watched the rabbits bounce back and forth and bob their heads in response.
"Sure!"
After that, the princess took a glimpse at the butler, and when she realized that he was already staring at her, she immediately turned her head away, and she concealed herself by facing the bunnies and bending her knees on the ground. She put her index finger to her nose and said, "I will attempt to see if we can trick the butler. I am certain that he would not let me go without some kind of protection." She was whispering. The bunnies paid close attention to what she had to say and kept their eyes fixed on her the whole time she was talking.
After that, they each expressed their enthusiasm to the other.
Both of their expressions seemed to be laughing, and the butler's reaction to the princess shrugging her shoulders was to tilt his head in a suspicious manner. The princess straightened her dress and cleared her throat before getting back on her feet and beginning to condition herself for the impending confrontation with the butler. She continued pushing herself to calm down and went up to the butler with an innocent look on her face. As she did so, she kept muttering to herself things that she should say in order to persuade the butler.
When she arrived, the butler was looking down at her, and she could see a reflection of her face in the black Photochromic spectacles that he was wearing. "Ahm..." There was a brief pause.
"I have a knot in my gut." She began off by lying and training her facial expression to seem as if she was truly hungry as she lied and continued, "I want to eat something."
"You have just had your breakfast."
The princess was taken aback by the butler's abrupt intervention, which caused her to lose her composure. As she felt herself beginning to panic, she blinked her eyes a few times to calm herself down. She cast her eyes downward and let out a heavy sigh.
Sht! He knew I was lying, probably! Calm down, Xenaia!
The princess cocked her head to the side and spoke her response with self-assurance. "The food did not live up to my expectations. My parents were unable to communicate with one another and were in a rush to eat as a condition of the missing ladies problem, which requires them to continue deliberating about potential remedies. Even though I was trying to get their attention, neither my brother nor my mother paid any attention to me. And so, my appetite was impacted."
She forced a smile from deep inside her face, which resulted in the appearance of deep dimples. Before finally lifting his eyes away from her, the butler had spent much too much time staring at her, most likely wondering if the princess was telling the truth or not. Finally, he had answered, "I'll go ask the chef to make you your favorite dish." The princess rejoiced at the back of her head as she reflected on her good fortune.
Yes, finally!
"But you need to come with me." The butler continued, causing her to bring her lips together upside-down.
