Chapter 4 4.

Bianca hurried out of the mansion, weeping profusely. "Hey wait, Bianca!" Lawrence followed after.

She kept running, her heels crunched on the terraced floor, her lashes watery and tears refusing to be held back, without hesitating, she kept going unflinching, not turning sideways or backward to give Lawrence a listening ear until she fell flat chested to the ground.

And the tears she had been fighting back dropped like an ocean of flood as she sobbed. "Why! Why! Why!" Hitting her fist against the terraced floor not taking the reddened fist into consideration.

"Stop! Stop it, your hands will bleed If this continues." Lawrence pacified leaning forward.

"Leave me alone!" She said bluntly. "I've been living in a circle all this while. Is that why you were so close to I and the kids?" Querying Lawrence in her heartbroken state.

"Common get up now, and let's get you inside." Lawrence tried pacifying over and over again.

Her sobs ceased. "I want to be alone, just let me be." Said Bianca rising to her feet, heading towards the pool.

She pulled her heels off, her feet seemed heavy and aching already, stood at the edge of the pool, paved way for the cool breeze of the night to brush across her skin as memories and pains of her past flowed in.

How and whom does she tell it to that the father of her kids is blood related to her betrothed husband, how does she explain and she wouldn't be taken to be a despicable lady?

She kept wondering, thinking over and over again, reminiscing about things of the past.

Her ribcage ached and it felt like her heart would explode at any point in time.

Her head began to ache as she developed a throbbing headache, her head began to spin. "What a life in a circle of pain." She muttered, gritting her teeth as she gripped her head tightly together.

She tried changing position but with a gasp, her legs tripped and she fell into the pool. "No, Bianca!" Lawrence cried out from his place of lurking, she requested to be alone but he couldn't stay off.

He dashed into the pool to save the drowning Bianca. "Someone should call an ambulance." He shrieked out to the family members who already assembled in front of the pool, lifting her unconscious body in his arms.

"Why not just give her a cardiopulmonary resuscitation." Elizabeth suggested.

Brant's POV.

Six year's back when she was an intern, his personal secretary had to go on an extensive maternity leave, and he needed someone competent enough to replace her while she was gone.

He ordered the HR department to find someone who could at least within the few months she would be off.

The HR reported within a few days to have no results for anyone who needed the job, but there was a girl although an intern known to be a fast learner, and diligent alongside. She could pick up within a few times she's taken through the requirements to fit in.

Bianca got recommended by the HR and she officially became his personal secretary. She worked hand in hand with him tirelessly, proving the HR's definition of her to be true.

Sometimes they even got off work late at night due to heavy workload, and sometimes ate together. Unknowingly she had begun falling in love with him! As time furthered on, his heart fluttered for her.

He made sure she was always around him wherever he wanted to go.

But when that day came, they got off work late, and he offered to drop her off. The tension in the vehicle got really strong and she herself declared how she felt.

He took it to be so disgusting, pride set in. He felt she was too forward, and he couldn't define the type of feeling he actually had for her, nevertheless, he remained quiet.

Not until the day he deliberately organised that send off because of her, and at the same time he was ready to spill out how he felt towards her, but instead his heart raced against its ribcage and he wasn't sure of himself, he spilled out something else which he realized was hurting as it caused her to drink to stupor.

He got drunk that night too, but with the help of his driver, he got home guided and safe.

The next morning, he awoke with a heart filled with regret, every single thing he said curled back into his memory and he lost it, he felt like hating himself for it.

He tried looking far and wide for her but she was nowhere close to him, she was completely out of radar, until recently, he happened to walk into her, it happened to be that the love long buried seemed to awaken within him.

Yet he was broken to realize she was a mother, but still his heart fluttered for her, and here he was once again with another lady Annie pregnant for him.

He loves Annie, but his heart still flutters for Bianca. If only he could just rewind back the hand of time.

Seeing her stand right beside Lawrence, his cousin, was one of the greatest shocks of his life. Then the question lingered in his heart: If she actually bore kids for Lawrence or the kids are for another.

***

Bianca regained consciousness, she saw herself lying in bed in an unfamiliar room, but she could tell she was still in the mansion. She was about getting off the bed when the door opened and Elizabeth walked in, tailing closely behind was Lawrence.

"Oh, thank gracious goodness you are awake!" Elizabeth exclaimed sitting close.

She felt Bianca's temperature and rested her palm on her cheek. "Darling, why would you do that to yourself? Why did you fall into the pool you left us worried?"

"I'm sorry." She replied gently with a blank expression. "It's unintentional." She sniffed her nose, directing her gaze to meet that of Elizabeth.

"Why the tears? You can tell me anything." Elizabeth asked on account of Bianca's watery lashes and silence.

"Hmm, I guess you wouldn't like to talk with me. I would excuse both of you now." Elizabeth announced her exit.

She threw her head to the bed rest. "Why would you throw yourself into the pool?" Lawrence's voice broke the silence.

"Are you really interested in this marriage?" Another sharp question from her in place of an answer.

He strode off the window side where he leaned to the side of the bed. "It's better realizing you are my bethrothed wife asides a stranger."

She shot him a sharp killing gaze followed by a gulp.

"My kids...your cousin."

Those words caught his interest, he paid more attention nervously. "And what about them?"
