Chapter 6 Island Heat

The following day, mom and I walked down the beach and enjoyed seawater. I was wearing a one-piece bathing suit and shorts. My mother was wearing a one-piece bikini and a thin dress as a cover. My brother and Wilson eventually followed us. They were both wearing board shorts. Roland took a lot of photos of us while we were all running away from the waves.

I borrowed Roland's camera to scan the images that he took. I noticed that my brother had an eye for detail and he knew how to hit the button for perfect lighting. I stared at my brother as he fooled around with Wilson. He glanced in my direction and smiled at me. I smiled back at him.

When he looked away, I continued to follow him with my eyes. Mom and I were always concerned about the people who he hung out with. He would be twenty-six soon. After dad died of heart disease, my brother was never the same. We did not know how his involvement with illegal drugs started. I could still remember the night that my mom called me at work and told me that my brother had been arrested. She told me that we needed a certain amount of money to bail him out of jail.

I thought that was the last of it, but it was not. I was working as a private nurse, so I was not always available to accompany my mom to my brother's whereabouts. Uncle Theo came with mom most of the time. Then my brother's fate went spiraling down when he met a drug lord.

There was nothing that my mother and I could do to help him. I was desperate, so I told Don Agustin and his wife about my dilemma and the amount that I needed. Then Don Agustin made a proposition to me. At that moment, I did not hesitate and immediately said yes. Because the drug lord was holding my brother hostage in his place.

"Emma!" I heard my mom call me. Her loud voice made me return to the present.

I turned off the camera and turned to my mom, "What is it, mom?"

"You forgot to put on sunblock, dear?" mom said and she handed me a blue bottle.

"Thanks, mom," I responded as I walked towards the sun lounger so I could put some sunblock on.

When we got home at lunchtime we were all sunburnt and tired. My mom allowed me to use the bathroom first. She said she wanted to rest on the verandah and have a little chat with Wilson's mother. I quickly got my floral cotton dress and underwear, then went inside the bathroom. When I was done with my bath, I checked my phone and saw five missed calls from Bram on my messenger.

I decided not to call him back. It might be possible that he was getting his lunch. When my mom was inside the bathroom, I tidied up the room that was lent to us. I folded the clothes that my mom and I left on the bed while we were choosing what to wear earlier. I opened my small luggage and saw the mess inside, so I fixed it up a bit, then closed the luggage again. I looked around the room one more time to see if I left anything untidy. When I was satisfied, I went down to check if they needed any help preparing our lunch.

After our lunch, Wilson and my brother decided to play billiards while mom and I decided to stay in the room. It was kind of hot today compared to yesterday. I sat on the sofa and closed my eyes. The possibilities were endless, especially when you could afford things. Like what just happened to me this week. It went by so fast and I did not have to worry about money. First, I got married on Monday morning. Second, my mom and uncle dropped me off at a new house afterwards. Third, I had dinner on my own balcony.

Then my trail of thoughts stopped. I also lost my virginity on the same day. I could not recall the time because all I could remember was Bram touching and kissing my whole body. I placed my hand over my mouth when I recalled what we did in those ungodly hours. And all of a sudden, it's Friday!

My eyes opened when someone knocked on our door. I looked at my mom as she stood up and opened the door. My brother was standing by the door and he looked past mom to look in my direction.

"Bram is downstairs," my brother said. My eyes widened in surprise.

"What? How?" I asked as I walked towards my brother.

"I told him our location, dear," mom said. She looked at me, then the three of us went down the stairs.

Bram was seated on the terrace. He immediately stood up when he saw me. He looked really tall as he stood with the rest of us. His brown hair was messy and there were dark circles under his eyes. I was so surprised when he hugged me so tightly.

He smelled of his sporty cologne and sweat. He wrapped his right arm around my back and rested his right hand on my waist. He kissed my mom's cheeks, then mom introduced him to Wilson and his family.

"Sorry for barging in like this. I just came by to take my wife home," Bram said to everyone.

I turned to him because he was gripping my waist. I saw my mom nod in agreement, then she said, "I'll help her pack. Come on, Emma," mom said, and she took me from Bram. We hurriedly went upstairs.

We finished quickly because I tidied up earlier before lunch. My mom told me to leave all my wet clothes in the bathroom. She called Roland to bring my luggage down and he placed it near Bram. I said my thanks to Wilson's family and kissed my mom. A silver van was waiting for us on the cemented road. It said the name of a resort, then the van drove us there.

Bram used his room key and opened the main door, then he took my luggage inside. He closed the door and lifted me to the wall beside it. He searched my lips and kissed me with so much intensity. I wrapped my legs around his waist and responded to his kiss. His hands searched for my panties and he pulled it down and threw it to the floor.

I moved my lips away from him and said, "Bram, it's three in the afternoon?"

"I don't give a shit!" he said, then he put me down and removed his shirt and carried me to bed. He removed his pants and went down under my dress.

"Bram!" I called out his name as he started sucking me down there.

"This is for two days that we missed," he said as he continuously kissed me there.

I did not have a choice but to close my eyes. I grabbed the blanket in each hand and moaned in pleasure. Then Bram undressed me and went inside me.

"Oh my gosh!" I gasped and opened my eyes. It was a mix of pleasure and pain. I did not realize that he was that hard. And this would be my second time.

I wrapped my legs around his waist when he started his rhythm on me. Using his left hand, he pinned both my hands on the bed and looked into my eyes as he went in and out of me. He gripped my left leg with his right hand as he became faster. And then he moaned. I felt his warm release on me.

He gave my lips a smack, then he slowly got out of me. Then he carried me upward so our heads could lie down on the pillows. When we were comfortably lying down, he pulled me closer to his side and rested his arm under my breast. He inhaled the right side of my neck, then he was snoring in seconds. I turned to him and shook my head. I was thinking of getting the blanket that was folded at the bottom of our feet but I changed my mind. I sighed and closed my eyes instead.
