Chapter 5 Let's go to sleep

: The room is full of silence. The sound of cold breeze on the winter night could be heard clearly.

Emily felt as if the whole world has stopped for a moment.

She felt like she was struck in a storm, trying her best to find a safe place…. a safe, peaceful place which she could call as her own.

She can’t go back, there is no home for her.

She has no parents, no siblings, nothing that she could say that this belongs to me.

She hoped to get a little warmth from this marriage even if it was forced. She hoped to find a home of her own. But it seems that a home of her own is extravagant for Emily.

She can’t blame anyone for this.

It is in her fate.

That fate which nobody can control!!

As for now all she can do is to endure everything that is thrown at her without making a sound.

She can’t tell anyone anything. She can’t share her feelings with anyone even with her bestie Leah. She can’t bring danger upon her loved ones.

After what felt like a decade, Emily replied coldly,

“Okay. I agree to your proposal. You are right, I have no other choice. We will not interfere with each other’s personal space.

But, I hope you could fulfill my request, just one please.”

William said, “Speak”

Probably he already knows her what she wants... But does he know her inner self?

Emily spoke with a soft and kind voice, “Please do not hurt my bestie and my loved ones.

All these years they have been the only ones who accompanied me when I was in despair.

I don’t want them to see me in a broken relationship. I can’t hurt them.

I promise to take care of your family whole heartedly.

Please just don’t let them know about our relationship. It should be between two of us only. Please.”

William’s eyes unknowingly softened.

He thought that she will demand for a compensation and a rich life for this contract marriage.

After all, he is rich and powerful. Which woman doesn’t want wealth and power, he thought!!

All that she wants is this,

Her loved one’s safety and happiness!!!

William replied with a little soft voice as compared to before,

“Okay, I promise. Nobody will know the truth. You don’t have to worry about them. I will ensure that they will be safe and worry free.”

Emily just replied with a faint smile.

At least she can ensure the safety and well being of them so she will be able to sleep at night.

Breaking from the emotional situation,

William said, “It’s pretty late now. Let’s go to sleep.”

Emily, “…….”

What the hell does he mean by let’s go to sleep!!

Isn’t it just a compromise for our own problems!!

Oh, No!!

This damn shameless beast!!!!
