Chapter 7 Not with Him, She'd Be Safe

As soon as they entered the elevator, Nick and others rushed in the hotel and looked around the lobby, "Amy, are you sure you saw Anne here?"

Nodding her head, Amy also looked for Anne in the lobby, "As sure as fate, I followed all the way here and saw her entering the hotel."

Getting Amy's assurance, Nick righteously headed to the front desk, "Help me check if Anne Brown has checked in the hotel. I'm her uncle, coming to take her home."

The front desk staff replied softly, "Sorry, we are not allowed to disclose our clients' privacy."

"Anne Brown is my niece, and I come here to ensure her safety. Now I need to find her, and you'd better check it for me. If anything happens to my niece, I'll demolish your hotel!" Kate talked wildly and brusquely.

"I need to check your computer!" Amy bent forward and reached for the mouse, but the front desk staff stopped her.

"If you are still messing around like this, I'll call the police. Please leave now!"

"Do you know who my fiancé is? He is the son of the Smith family. If you dare to offend us, believe it or not, I'll ask my fiancé tear down your hotel!"

Not scared, the staff spoke calmly, "Our hotel is owned by the White family, the most powerful family in Wily City. Ever heard of White Group? Ask around, would a minor Smith family dare to challenge our White family?"

Reluctant to be outdone, Amy tried to argue with her again. She had never heard of any White family from Wily City. Maybe the staff was bluffing!

Before she could step up, Nick checked her and pulled his family members out of the hotel.

"Dad, why drag me out? I'll definitely see the check-in record. I can call Jim to scare the wits out of her!" Amy continued with her wild talk.

"Nonsense!" Nick broke in, "You don't know the White family, but I do. It's the most powerful family in Wily City. They control a third of the intelligent high-tech industry, and their businesses cover real estate and various entertainment industries. Not to mention Jim, even the patriarch of the Smith family isn't worthy to speak in front of them. Don't bring trouble to the Brown family."

Kate widened her eyes in shock, "Is the White family so powerful? Could Anne play up to such a great patron? Is it possible?"

Nick glanced angrily at the hotel, "I don't think Anne can win the favor of the White family. She should have found another place. Let's continue with our search, otherwise, Boss Lee would be mad."

Nick and others left the place and continued to search for Anne.

Successfully escaping the disaster, Anne followed Denny to his room.
