Chapter 9 A Bolt from the blue

Olivia was not able to come back from her disoriented state, all this happened so suddenly, she did not expect that the man was so capable that he could find her company.

She had her first time taken away from him and stumbled upon such a thing.

Olivia wiped away tears and stood up with that business plan and she wanted to go out, she took two steps, and then turned her head to look at the eight hundred dollars left on the table, she sighed and walked back to pick it up and put it in her bag.

It was still a long way to go before the next paycheck, and she was still living on the eight hundred dollars.

"Olivia? Are you okay?"

Olivia had just gone out when she saw Martin Smith standing in the doorway and waiting for her.

She looked at Martin and shook her head dumbly, nodding again, she was still in a state of drifting off into the sky.

"I asked you to help me yesterday, didn't you say you wouldn't?

Martin looked at her with foxy suspicion in his eyes; the expression on his face was not only worried, but also...suspicious.

Olivia retracted his divine thoughts and she looked at his face, a fury rushing straight to the top of her heart.

She looked at Martin and said coldly, ''What are you trying to say? What do you mean? Are you trying to say that I got the case by seducing him with beauty?"

Martin didn't expect her to flip out like this so suddenly, he panicked and explained, "No...it's not...I just heard people in the company talking about it after meeting the client......."

Hearing his words, Olivia's heart sank and her worries turned into reality.

She turned her head to look at her colleagues in the hall, only to see them gathered in three pairs, twittering and gossiping, while talking and looking at her with a sneer on their faces.

Olivia was furious and trembled; she took the planning book and walked towards the boss's office without thinking.

After walking to the door, Olivia took a deep breath; she pushed open the office door and walked over to General Manager Thomas.

Hearing the voice, Manager Thomas raised his head and looked at Olivia, and he smiled amiably, ''Olivia, I was looking for you, you're something! The CASE of Bert Real Estate Company is a big fish, many people are scrambling to get it, but you got it......."

"Manager Thomas." Olivia put the business plan book on the desk, she looked up at him and said, "You had better arrange other colleagues to do this business plan, I am still an intern, I do not dare to handle such a big contract."

"How does that work? It's obvious that Manager White is here to sign the contract because of you." Manager Thomas looked at Olivia and said, "This case requires you to follow it!"

"But Manager Thomas...I...someone else...."

Olivia looked at her boss's face and she felt helpless, now that her colleagues had started talking about her, if she did take this contract, a lot of people would be denigrating her.

Manager Thomas had rich experience in business, looking at Olivia's face, he had known what she was thinking in her heart, so he slowed his posture and said, "You do not have a mental burden, as long as you make achievements, others will have nothing to say. Regardless of the avenue, you used to get this case, I only care about the outcome. Your private matters outside the company are out of my hands, I will not intervene."

Olivia looked at Manager Thomas and she found that the smile on his face was just like one of her colleagues who were discussing her outside.

She was afraid Manager Thomas also thought she seduced that man to sign the contract because of her beauty!

Even the boss didn't believe she was innocent, and it was even less likely that anyone else will!

"Manager Thomas...I...."

Olivia still wanted to explain, just, Manager Thomas stopped her with a swing of his hand when she opened her mouth, ''There is no need to say much, I will ask Director Lee to assist you in this matter, just go ahead and do it without worry, you can ask him if you don't understand anything. All right, you can go out. Once it's done, I'll consider giving you a promotion."

Olivia was politely rejected. Looking at her boss's expression, she knew that there was no more room for rejection and she could only go out of the office unhappily with the contract.

The phone in her pocket rang when she was just outside.

Olivia took it out, only to see that it was Lucy.

She picked up the phone, and before she could say anything, she heard Lucy yelling over there, "Olivia! How dare you! How dare you go to a hotel with someone else?"

"What are you talking about? What hotel? It's inexplicable!"

Olivia was out of breath when she heard Lucy's sharp words, and her voice was raised by an octave.

"Check out the news on the financial website! It's all headlined and you still pretended not to know that!"

Lucy shouted at the end of the phone, after hearing that, Olivia gave a cold shudder and she hung up the phone and walked towards her position.

As she walked down the office aisle, she looked at the three or five colleagues who had gathered to whisper, they were glancing at her and their hands were still gesturing at her.

"That's her...that picture is her...."

"Just as I said, how did a little intern get the Bert Real Estate Company's project proposal, sure enough.......?"

"Can we not get it? That's what she got for his body......."

The whispering of colleagues around her was like a knife cut into her body, Olivia shivered and she had a bad feeling in her heart.

Step by step, she painstakingly moved to her place and sat down, her emotions was sinking to the bottom.

Olivia looked at the computer in front of her; she grabbed the mouse and clicked on the city's financial website, only to see the most eye-catching headline with a big line written on it.

The owner of Bert Real Estate Company was having an affair with a strange woman in a hotel room.
