Chapter 9 Brother Barry

When Mandy reached out, Tony showed up beside his boss on time. Therefore, Mandy's soft hands were around Assistant Quain's arm.

Tony glanced at Mandy with disgust, "Miss Yeates, please conduct yourself."

"What!" Taken by surprise, Mandy blushed with shame, "Out of my way."

"Sorry, our boss doesn't like women to approach, please step back."

Although Tony disliked Mandy, he knew the rules of his boss and had to sacrifice his own arm.

Before Mandy could say more, Flora tactfully pulled her back.

Like a fair lady, Flora looked at Barry with smiling eyes and spoke in a pleasant voice, "Barry, when did you come back? Why didn't you tell me? I can pick you up."

"Come on in, don't just stand at the door." Flora warmly led Barry into the house and sounded like an old friend.

She waved her hand and ordered a servant beside her, "Aunt Zoe, serve the tea."

The naturally cold man rarely nodded his head as a response to Flora.

A cold gaze suddenly came over, and Barry's brows furrowed. Following instinct, he looked over and saw a girl in a black dress staring at him.

The admiration in her eyes was long gone. Now they were filled with doubt and anger.

Barry slightly changed countenance, and a hint of displeasure crossed his pretty face.

What made her think she could question him?

According to his grandfather's instruction, he just came today to offer incense to her deceased parents.

He had nothing to do with the accident of her family.

Without blinking, Mary fixed her eyes on the puckered lips of the man a few steps away.

At that moment, she suddenly felt the man she had been admiring for over a decade unfamiliar.

Then her vision was blocked by Flora.

"Barry, have a sip of tea." Flora handed over a cup of tea and blocked their entangled vision.

"I'm fine. I'm here to pay my respect to uncle and auntie."

The Yeates and the Lamberts were family friends. Mary's grandfather and parents were all on good terms with Lambert Family.

Talbot, however, hadn't associated with Lambert Family.

The funeral of Mary's parents was done in such a haste that no outsiders were informed.

In fact, Barry just got the news and hurried to the scene.

Flora stood there a little awkwardly.

Mary suddenly got up, glanced at Barry calmly, and gestured invitation.

"Brother Barry..."

"I've told you. Don't call me that."

Barry suddenly broke in.

Mary was a little stunned. Following a smile, she corrected herself, "Junior Master Lambert, this way please."

Barry followed Mary into the room where the memorial tablets were placed.

"Barry."

Flora wanted to follow them but was intercepted by Tony and others.

Standing by the side, Stella snorted slightly and waited silently.

Barry offered incense to Mary's parents while Mary stood by the side silently. Raising her head, she looked at the memorial tablets, but her tears were already drained.

After offering the incense, Barry walked out of the room, looked back, and forced out a few words from his lips, "Restrain your grief."

"Thanks."

Mary whispered her gratitude and walked away first.

"Stella, let's go."

She held Stella and left without looking back.

Talbot intended to stop her but gave in to Quentin's power. After all, Barry was also there.

Lynn ordered the servants to clean up the living room in the fastest fashion.

At the same time, Flora and Mandy walked toward Barry.
