Chapter 5 : A Sexy Message

We did not live in a rich neighborhood. I’d say it was about average. I left the windows open the previous night, so the cold morning breeze woke me up. The feeling was extraordinary.

Turning over and feeling grateful that it was Sunday, I reached for my phone and started to scroll my social media. I could hear Mom up already getting ready to paint her room.

My phone had a few messages available to read. I doubted Hannah would be up before late afternoon knowing her.

“Good morning you.” It was Chase.

My eyes were deceiving me. I started to choke on saliva.

“Hey, stud,” I messaged back. I cringed and thought, ‘Stud? Why would I think that is edgy or sexy? That is something you call a horse. He’s going to think I am calling him a horse. Oh, no.’

There was no response. I felt the embarrassment shifting throughout my body.

“I really enjoyed our conversation last night. You had a great sense of humor.” He typed back. I was grateful he did not mention the stud part. I needed to be edgy and sexy.

I tossed back the covers and jumped over to my closet, setting out the new clothes that Hannah and I got from the mall. I would definitely be wearing these tomorrow. I dragged my school books out of my bag and set them on my desk.

‘What do I say?’ I started to type.

“Glad I could be of service.” Send. Ding.

“I can think of a few ways you could be of service.” I thought, ‘Oh, God. Oh my god. What do I say to that?’

This guy made me sweaty, not sexy sweaty either. It was legit disgusting or gross sweaty. I started to type. I was glad this was over messages and not in person. ‘Think edgy and sexy, Aria.’

“I don’t think you could handle my services.” I tossed my phone and screamed. I sounded like a prostitute. Could I recall the text?

My mom knocked on the door.

“Honey, are you alright?” She popped the door open and had concern written on her face. Meanwhile, mine was red from blushing.

“Yes, I’m fine. I just thought I saw someone in the window.” I pointed. The look on her face showed concern.

“Aria, we are on the second floor.” She slowly closed the door. I flopped back onto my bed.

Another text sound went off. I could not open this. I thought I might die. I needed to be confident. He was just a hot guy.

“I would love to try.” He added a smiley face.

“Maybe, we will see. I would hate to mess up your relationship with your girlfriend.” I messaged back.

“I don't have a girlfriend. I don't do the dating thing. Don't bring it up.” He messaged back.

I couldn’t tell if he was now in a bad mood or if he was still the sexy, aggressive type.

“Noted. Well, you should have no problem seeing the extent of what I can do.” I messaged back.

“Tell me more.”

“You aren’t ready.” I was getting cocky now. I needed to pull something from my books. I grabbed a book from my shelf and started flipping through some pages.

“Tell me more, now.” If he were a character in one of my books, I swear he would have growled that. The assertiveness was kind of hot.

“I'm dying to find out if you are as good in real life as you are in my fantasies.” I messaged back, which wasn’t entirely untrue. When a guy looked like that, you couldn’t help but wonder.

“What kind of fantasies?” he replied instantly.

“Of you pushing me up against my locker in front of everyone, caressing my thigh with your hand…”

“Oh, go on, please.”

I stopped. I needed something else, but what? Honesty?

“I don’t care if people see you rub up against me. Then they will know.”

“Know what?”

“That you’re mine. That I’m the one who teases and pleases you in the dark.”

“Damn, I wish I was with you right now.” He took a minute to respond.

I have to leave him wanting more. As much as part of me wants to keep this going, I want to make him want me even more.

Hannah would have died if she read these, and I was not going to show her. I needed to get used to this. I was seventeen. Eventually, I was going to move forward sexually.

I set my phone to silent, placed it on the bed, and sat down at my desk. I opened my literature book and started reading. This would help get my mind off of him for a bit. Every few seconds, I glanced at my phone, wondering if he was messaging me.

Although my eyes were passing over the words in my book, I couldn’t help but think about the words I could write to Chase. I wondered if any other girl had messaged him like that.

Something came to mind. I pushed myself away from the desk and grabbed my phone. I saw three missed messages from Chase.

“Hey, are you there?”

“Come back, please.”

“I’m so close.”

I squealed again. I was on cloud nine. These romance novels really paid off. I needed to remember to get more from the store.

I started to type out my next message. This was so addicting.

“No, you tell me what you want to do to me.”

“Oh baby, you have no idea the things I would do to you. First, I’d take you to my bed. You won’t see me, but you’ll feel me. Then, I would lift you up and carry you to the shower and kiss up and down your neck.”

Was this heaven? I couldn’t believe he didn’t suspect that I was a virgin. I wondered how many virgins he had been with. I could imagine he got anyone and everyone he wanted and possibly even those he didn’t.

“And then what?” I messaged back. I was finally in my groove.

There was a knock at my door. “Yes?” I shouted.

My mom opened my door again.

“Are you working on your homework?” She peered in squinting at me and looked around.

“Yes, I just had to ask Hannah a question.” I placed my phone in my pocket and sat back at my desk. I flipped the page and started scribbling something in my notebook. It was just a reading assignment, but my mom wouldn't believe it if she saw it.

“Okay, just remember the phone is a privilege until you start paying for it yourself.” She slowly closed the door.

It was a great reminder that I needed to get a job. I knew I needed to help out, and I definitely didn’t mind—as if I had a chance in the matter. I just knew that if it was somewhere public, I would get mocked.

I ran to my bed, grabbed my phone, and tucked it under my book. A notification sound went off, and I peaked at the screen.

“I can’t wait to see you in person, especially that body.”

“Do you think you'd like my body?” I questioned that. I was nothing special. I was hoping my doubt came off more as me wanting him to elaborate a bit more.

“I can imagine. If it is as amazing as your face, then it's probably amazing.” I could still feel his eyes on me just two short days ago, although he still had no idea the girl he was chatting with online was me.

“The thought of seeing you excites me more than you could know,” I send back. A smile crossed my face. This was fun, and he actually seemed to be into it. I could not help but wonder if he had ever had an actual girlfriend though. I wasn’t saying I could be that one day, but never say never.

“You’re getting my hopes up now.” He responded, and he wasn’t wrong. I was pretending to be someone I wasn’t, or rather, someone I wished I was. Did that make it better?

I finished reading for English and popped open my history book. Answering a few of the chapter questions didn’t take long. I have good grades. I always have. I knew that I was smart and often didn’t have to take too much time to understand a concept. However, it wasn’t crazy to say I was wildly distracted today.

I opened his profile and scrolled through the profile photos. There was one that caught me off guard. He was with a younger girl, maybe just a year or two younger than me. I wonder if that was an old girlfriend or something. I opened our chat and send another message.

“I wouldn’t dare get your hopes up. I know what I can do, and I wouldn’t want to keep you from all that pleasure.” I set my phone down and decided it was time to play a little harder to get. My phone rang. It was from the app.

Chase’s face popped up, and I let it ring.

“I want to see your face,” he replied.

“Tomorrow,” I replied as if that would actually happen.
