Chapter 4 Their plan

Sleep quickly left Charlie's eyes on the mention of River. She'd joke with anything but not him.

"Who are you? And what is it you wanna tell me?"

"Come to the school entrance".

"Can't it be discussed on the phone?" She asked again.

"Come to the school entrance," The person said bed

fore disconnecting the call.

"sh*t" She cursed under her breath as she hopped out of the bed. She ran to the bathroom to wash her face.

She sneakily left the house without anyone's notice.

SILVERMOON PACK SCHOOL was boldly written on the entrance gate.

Monalisa was standing with her gang while waiting for Charlie to arrive.

"You're gonna hit the stick on her head as soon as she comes" She instructed.

"What if we're caught," Sarah asked. Already scared of the way things are going.

"Shut the f*ck up and listen to me. If anyone should hear about this, trust me I will deal with you" she warned.

"I thought you said we're are gonna carry out our plan by nine-thirty. But this is seven forty-six" Samantha asked.

"I thought so too" Elizabeth added.

"Yeah, you're right but I discovered she won't be allowed to leave home by nine-thirty. That's why" Monalisa answered.

They sat and wait impatiently for Charlie to come.

Charlie ran as fast as she could to the school. Whosoever that called her must know something about River.

"As she was told. Her mother picked River close to a stream when she was going to deliver some materials to her friend.

He was seated there and crying for his parents to come so she took him home.

She increased her pace so as to get there on time.

"She's close" Elizabeth alerted Monalisa and the rest of the girls. And she was right, Charlie was just a stone's throw away from where they were standing.

She got there panting hard. Before she's know what was happening. A stick was hit in her head as she fell down flat. She was already losing consciousness when they all ran away.

Mrs. Damon's home

7:21 pm

"You two should come down for dinner" she shouted from downstairs.

River sluggishly got out of bed and walked downstairs.

He sat down with Mr. Damon but Charlie wasn't forthcoming.

They waited a few more minutes, but she still wasn't coming for dinner.

River and Mrs. Damon rushed to her doorstep as River placed a knock on her door.

"Charlie, it's time for dinner, come out" He called but there was still no response.

"Charlie, are you in the......" he stopped abruptly.

Mrs. Damon became alarmed.

"What happened did you feel anything?" she asked all at once.

River immediately pushed the door open. But they were shocked and disappointed to see an empty without Charlie.

"Where has she gone to this time?" She asked fearfully.

River got in and Mts Damon followed suit.

He tried to know if she was close by, but was unable to catch her scent.

Mrs. Damon noticed this and became restless.

River quickly placed his hands on them and immediately his eyes changed to a different color for a while.

"Come to the school entrance, I got something to show you concerning your brother" All the conversation Charlie had with the person on the phone came displaying in Rivers head.

He got up and quickly ran out of the house.

Mrs. Damon tried running after him but she knows just like anyone else that she can't compete with River.

Just like a moving plane, he was already in school. He tried catching her scent but his nose caught an awful scent.

"Her blood" He muttered and quickly traced it to where it happened and truly there she was, lying still on the floor.

But luckily he could hear her faint heart beat. He quickly lifted her body up in his arm and ran madly to the nearest hospital.

"Doctor there's an emergency" he had told the doctor as soon as he got into the hospital.

Charlie was quickly placed on the stretcher and was pushed in by some nurses.

He hit his leg on the floor impatiently waiting for the doctor to come out of Charlie's ward. And just like he predicted, the doctor came out.

He ran to the doctor's direction and asked. "Doctor, how is my sister? What happened to her?"

"She was hit a stick on her head, but luckily it didn't get to her skull" the doctor answered. And that instance River remembered he didn't check who did this to his sister.

He ran out of the hospital like a mad man to the school entrance. When he got to the place he met his sister, he placed his hands on the floor just like he did at home. Anger was clearly visible in his face when he saw the faces of the people that did that to his sister.

River went back to the hospital before calling his mom.

"Hello mom, I need you to come to Save life hospital".

"What happened? Did anything happen to Charlie? She asked worriedly.

"Mom, Just come to the hospital. Charlie is fine" he said before disconnecting the call.

Mr. Damon hopped into her car and drove out.

She got to the hospital in no time. Using her eyes to trace where River was. She saw him seated on a bench. She ran there to join him.

"What happened to Charlie?" She asked.

"She was unconscious when I saw her so I brought her to the hospital" He answered without telling her where he saw Charlie. He knows she'd involve the police or tell the Alpha and that's not what he wants. He wants to kill them by himself and tell them no one should dare mess with his sister.

"Where did you find her? She asked again.

"On the road, as she wads hit by a moving truck" He lied.

The doctor walked in their direction and wanted to say something. But stopped like someone was mind linking him but the truth is that River was tempering with his head for him to say anything about Charlie's condition.

"The accident wasn't critical so she will be fine by tomorrow" the doctor has said just like River wanted. Well, River got the powers to make someone say what he wants them to say.

"River you need to go home," Mrs. Damon told him.

"But why? Aren't we supposed to stay here till she's fine".

"I didn't lock the door and someone might get into the house"

"Okay, but I will come in the morning before going to school" he places a lingering kiss on her forehead before walking out.

"I'm so gonna crush you all" He muttered under his breath.
