Chapter 3 Adultery

Ronnie's sudden appearance shocked the bodyguard standing at the door. Before he could realize what was going on, Shannon's cold voice came from the room, "Get her back!"

By this time, Ronnie had hopped into a taxi.

In the cab, she could finally let her guard down. Feeling distressed inside, she desperately needed a shoulder to lean on.

How was she going to explain to Leslie that she had lost her virginity?

In a trance, Ronnie arrived at Leslie's place. She loved her fiancé very much and never wanted to cheat on him or lose him. Therefore, she decided to talk to him.

When she was about to knock at the door, she found it unlocked.

Feeling confused, Ronnie entered the room and was surprised to see a woman's dress, high heels, and bag lying on the floor.

The door to the bedroom was also ajar, and nasty noises were coming from inside.

"You're such a leprechaun." It was Leslie's voice, and it sounded indulgent and frivolous, which was completely different from usual times.

As if being struck by a thunderbolt, Ronnie felt her brain buzz.

She immediately became aware that Leslie was having sex with another woman.

And she felt that all her blood was freezing, and both her hands and legs went cold.

"Leslie, I am coming."

Was that Serena Pearson's voice?

No way! It was impossible! Ronnie could not believe that her fiancé, who had always doted on her and been protective of her, would do such a thing!

She felt that her blood was rushing towards her brain.

In the bedroom, Serena said to the man in a coquettish tone of voice, "You rogue. If you want me so badly, why are you marrying Ronnie?"

"That's for the future of us. Only by marrying Ronnie will we get the shares that her mother had left. Also, in that way, your father won't have to worry about her taking her part of the wealth." Leslie answered, his breath deepening.

"Her grandfather isn't far from his death, and he's made a will that when he dies, his property will be inherited by Ronnie. When Ronnie and I get married, I'll be one of the two owners of the Moore Group, and when I divorce her and marry you, both of the Moore Family and the Pearson Family will be ours."

Serena replied sourly, "If she has a baby for you, will you still divorce her? I'm afraid you won't."

Leslie answered, "If I couldn't give her up, why would have I agreed to send her to President Ward? I don't even want to touch a woman who has been played by another man. Besides, didn't you arrange to have birth control pills put in her food every day? Taking that drug for six months would make her incapable of bearing children. How could she conceive my child in that case? Do you think you have any need to be so jealous?"

Their conversation was like a sharp blade plunging into Ronnie's chest and bleeding her heart.

She trembled uncontrollably all over.

Was that the man she had loved for three years?

Was he still the man who had claimed to love her a lot?

Hadn't he said that he would pamper her for the rest of her life and build up a warm family with her?

With tears welling up in Ronnie's eyes and anger surging up in her heart, she eventually lost control of herself and opened the door to the bedroom, her chest heaving.

The man and woman on the bed were shocked.

"Ah!" Serena squealed and panicked, putting her half-removed nightgown back on.

Leslie looked back to see Ronnie, his expression changing dramatically. He scrambled to his feet and straightened his disheveled clothes, asking, "Ronnie, why are you here?"

Ronnie looked at the hypocritical man in front of her, and those memories of his tenderness and affection had been ruthlessly torn apart.

There was a sharp soreness in her eyes, and she even wanted to rush over to the man and stab him in his belly.

How could she have fallen in love with such a scumbag and been with him for so many years?

Ronnie pinched her palms hard to suppress the anger and grief inside.

"Leslie, we'll call off the engagement!"
