Chapter 6 Confrontation Part 1

Her grandpa had been disapproving of Lily's marriage with her dad. They had been together for years without tying the knot. A few months ago, Lily was suddenly pregnant. Through a diagnosis in the hospital, she was confirmed bearing a son.

Her dad then went to beg her grandpa for his permission for their marriage for the sake of the grandson. He couldn't let the only grandson of the Johnson family become an illegitimate child.

As far as she could remember, her grandpa finally relented today and agreed to their marriage.

But today, Lily had a miscarriage because of her.

She fell off the stairs and claimed that Maggie pushed her.

She still could clearly remember that her dad slapped her. His eyes were full of murderous intent, and her grandpa, who had been doting on her, was disappointed for this accident and kept shaking his head at her.

Maggie curled up her lips. Her life would change from the accident. Everything that she once gave up would be reclaimed.

Slowly, she walked towards the room.

Noticing Maggie's arrival, Lily was the first to stand up from the sofa. To support her bulging belly, she held her waist and spoke cordially, "Mag, why are you back so late? Where did you go last night? Because you didn't come back, I lost sleep all night. I'm glad to see you back."

William also got up from the sofa to support Lily and pulled a long face, "Now you know you have a home? Where did you fool around last night? Do you know that Lily didn't sleep well last night because she was worried about you? She is pregnant now."

By their side, Tami whispered to fan the flame, "Did you deliberately try to make my mom worry? According to the doctor, the fetus is unstable."

This infuriated William even more, "You are grounded in case you make Lily worry."

With a faint sneer, Maggie replied in a light voice, "Fine, thanks for your concern, Lily. I won't go out for some time. I'm tired and should go upstairs to sleep."

Following her words, she walked up the stairs.

Lily winked at Tami and tried to catch up while holding her belly, "Mag, are you hungry? What do you want to eat?"

Without looking back, Maggie shook her head, "I'm not hungry, auntie. Just take a rest, the unstable fetus would often result in miscarriage."

William pounded the table, "How dare you talk like that? The child in Lily's belly is your little brother."

After a slight pause on the stairs, Maggie ignored William and continued her way up.

Little brother?

Heh, it should be a little pillow.

In her previous life, she only knew that Lily was not pregnant after the event. To gain her grandpa's permission to join the Johnson family, Lily bribed Doctor Larson to fake her pregnancy. Only Maggie didn't know if her dad knew about the truth.

She quickly walked upstairs, stood at the staircase, secretly took out her cell phone, and turned on the camera.

Happy to see her stopping there, Lily reached out to pull her. Maggie dodged swiftly, and Lily's hand failed to touch her.

"Ah..." Lily screamed and rolled down the stairs.

Maggie could still remember what happened during her previous life. Because she reached out to save Lily, everyone in the family believed she pushed Lily down.

Lifting her cell phone, Maggie recorded everything that happened downstairs.

Lily tactfully put her hand under her dress and squeezed a blood bag inside to break it.

In an instant, blood came out from her groin and wound its way along the floor.

Maggie looked indifferently at downstairs.

Agitated, William paced about, "Lily, you... you're bleeding."

Tami was weeping by the side, "Mom, mom, how are you? Are we losing my brother?"

Hearing that, William turned ghastly pale.
