Chapter 4 Colliding With The Devil

Davion and Colton reached the posh and upscale restaurant where they had a booking. After that bombshell, he threw at Colton unknowingly, the whole time Colton was after him for details. They sat at the table designated to them and waited impatiently for the Blakesleys.

"Bro, is she coming tonight? The one you're whipped with?" Asked Colton. Davion rolled his eyes at him. He was tired of Colton's questions.

"Let me clear this first. I'm not whipped with anyone. She looked okay and all I'm ever interested in is a good f*ck. So don't get your hopes up," gritted Davion. Colton chuckled knowingly. "This is the last time we'd discuss her," warned Davion.

"As you say, bro," chuckled Colton much to Davion's irritation.

After five minutes they were disappointed to see only the parents arrive for dinner. There were no signs of the daughter. Davion eyed Colton as a surge of disappointment coursed through his body. He immediately started repenting having invited them to dinner.

"Good evening, Mr. Torres, Mr. Glenn," greeted Sofia's dad, looking a little apologetic.

"Good evening, Mr. Blakesley, Mrs. Blakesley. I don't see your family members?" He couldn't help but ask.

"The girls are at their friend's house and didn't return," said Ava Blakesley, looking uncomfortable. Girls? Davion and Colton again eyed one another.

"Girls?" Asked Colton while Davion nudged him in the stomach.

"Yeah, our twin daughters," informed Mr. Blakesley. Colton's eyes glittered with excitement. It was obvious as to what his mind was up to. They all sat down to an otherwise boring dinner to discuss the case that they had won.

It was well past dinner time and knowing that their parents had already left for dinner, Sofia and Victoria finally returned home. They quickly went up to their rooms, freshened up and switched off the lights, and went to bed. No one needed a lecture tonight!

The next morning, they were ready for college and came downstairs to the breakfast table, anticipating a lecture. Their parents were already sipping coffee and serving themselves the bacon, toast, and pancakes laid out on the table. "Good morning, mom, dad!" They chorused, sitting down with them.

"Good morning. I'm very disappointed with the two of you. I had informed you about the dinner yesterday? You two should have returned home early," scolded their mom. Sofia hung her head feeling guilty while Victoria looked at her mom with defiance.

"We got held up at Lisa's house, mom. It wasn't intentional," she lied.

"In that case, you should have called to inform us, young lady," said their dad with a disapproving look on his face.

"Sorry, we forgot!" Said Victoria who was the master of bluffing. Sofia was just the opposite of her twin. She couldn't lie even to save herself from trouble. So she sat silently looking guilty and apologetic. She didn't mind going to dinner with her parents but Victoria didn't want to and Sofia couldn't fight with her twin.

Two days later, it was finally Lisa and Liam's wedding day. The girls had already left for their house early in the morning. They were too excited to dress Lisa up and get her ready for her big day.

"Liz are you excited? Are you nervous? How are you feeling, girl?" Squealed Sofia as they dragged Lisa out of bed and whisked her to Liam's sister, Serenity's building. The sprawling Parker mansion premises had separate blocks for Liam and his two siblings. There was a shimmering water body and a marble fountain in the middle where a wedding arch had been constructed for the wedding ceremony to be held later.

"I'm nervous actually. What if I fall wearing that heavy wedding dress?" Whispered Lisa looking worried.

"You won't. Just take a deep breath and watch your step as well as your dress," advised Sofia.

"Yeah. If you don't get too lost in Liam's eyes as you walk, you should be fine," giggled Victoria. Lisa rolled her eyes.

"I'll find more opportunities later to immerse myself into his eyes. While walking down the aisle I'd prefer to look at my feet," said Lisa.

"Thank God that I'm married to my career. I can never imagine this torture of walking down the aisle for any man," Victoria rolled her eyes.

"I wish I could fall in love soon and get married like you!" Exclaimed Sofia, her eyes full of dreams. Lisa and Victoria nudged one another and giggled.

"I can fix you up with one of Liam's friends, Sofi," said Lisa, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Noo, please. I want to fall in love naturally. No forced relationships for me please, " said Sofia. Lisa looked at Victoria.

"Don't even think of pairing me up," said Victoria with a horrified expression on her face. They helped Lisa take a beauty bath and teased and giggled all the time. Later Liam's cousins all came into the room to get Lisa ready. The hairdressers had already arrived to do everyone's hair. Liam's mom came up to their room followed by their housekeeper, Kathy pushing a food trolley laden with breakfast for all. "Lisa, eat well or else you'll fall sick," said aunt Eugene, who was Liam's mom. Lisa nodded and picked up her plate and helped herself to the delicious breakfast as her hair was being fixed. The others too helped themselves hungrily to the delicious breakfast.

Lisa's makeup was done and one by one all her bridesmaids too had their makeup done. They all wore pale blue halter necks, backless gowns with their hair swept up and fixed into one side with a jeweled hair accessory. They finally got Lisa ready in her bridal finery but her veil was missing.

"Where's the veil?" Asked Arianna, who was Lisa's sister-in-law. Lisa looked around and everyone started searching for her veil.

"Oh no, I think I have forgotten it in my room. Someone needs to go and fetch it," said Lisa. She and Liam shared a room that was located in another block next to where they currently were.

Carmella, who was Liam's cousin, pushed Sofia, "Go and get it please, Sofia. You're the one who's completely ready," she pointed out.

Sofia looked at everyone with dismay. "Where did you keep it, Lizzy?" She asked Lisa.

"On the top shelf of my walk-in closet," informed Lisa.

"The guys would be getting ready there," said Sofia, dreading the task she was given.

"They should be done by now. If you see Liam, just ask him. He'll hand it to you," said Lisa. Sofia went out to get her veil. She walked into Liam's building. It was exceptionally quiet. Had the boys all left the place after getting dressed up? Well good for her then. She climbed the staircase and reached Lisa's bedroom in a minute. There wasn't anyone around whom she could ask for the veil. The door wasn't locked so she opened the door and peeped inside. No one.

She released the breath that she had been holding. Going inside, she went straight to the walk-in closet. Now, where's the veil? She looked at the top shelves and then found the veil still in its packaged condition. Picking it up, she smiled and then walked out of the walk-in closet but as luck would have it, she collided straight with something damp and hard. It was a man, that too only in a towel, fresh out of the shower! Unable to keep his balance he fell with her onto the bed beside them with her on top of him, flush against his muscular hard bare body, lying between his legs.

"What the fuck!" His husky voice swore, pinning her with a piercing gaze. Davion's eyes popped out seeing the creature of his dreams right in his arms and all over him. He had just arrived straight from a meeting and needed a refreshing shower first to gear up for his best friend's wedding. He had been unable to sleep since last night thinking of the girl whom he would meet today. He had been restless thinking of the girl who hadn't left his head since the moment he saw her picture. Now with her flush against him, his whole body came alive and he was more aroused than ever before.

Sofia's gaze found his electric blue hypnotic eyes staring back at her as if drilling a hole onto her flushed face. She couldn't look away. His eyes had a strange pull that burnt her. "Are you done staring?" He asked in a husky voice. Sofia came to her senses and felt something hard poking her. When realization struck, she blushed crimson and got up quickly. She couldn't look at him, lying down and watching her with hooded eyes, sporting a massive erection, clearly visible through the thin towel. It was obvious that he was totally naked under it. Sofia looked away blushing furiously.

"I wasn't staring. What are you doing in this room?" She asked suspiciously, keeping her eyes pinned upon only his face. She had never seen the guy here before. Who the hell was he?

"I could ask the same for you," he said gruffly. "Now get lost or do you want to see me get dressed?" He asked impatiently. Sofia's jaws dropped at his rudeness. What the hell did he think he was?

"You know what? You're an asshole," she gritted out, picking up the veil and stomping out without a backward glance. She was red with anger.
