Chapter 5 The Other J. Carter

Ann crossed her arms in front of her breast with narrowed eyes. The two men named J. Carter looked at her with charming smiles. Their attitude was very relaxed, and they looked very sexy.

"Are you guys tricking me?" Ann asked, narrowing her eyes warily, trying to look serious.

"No, honey. You are the one who doesn't ask and sign right away before reading the details. I warned you, honey," Jace said with a smile.

"Relax, Ann. We don't mean any harm. On the contrary, this agreement benefits both parties," said Jake.

"You owe me a detailed explanation. I may be a little impulsive, but it's still not too late if I ask now, right?" asked Ann with pursed lips.

"Sure, you can ask anything," Jake replied softly.

Jake sat next to Ann, then stroked Ann's thighs gently, making Ann feel more relaxed and wanting to touch Jake's thighs in return. However, Ann tried to restrain herself, holding her hand tightly to not stroke Jake's voluptuous muscular thighs. Ann looked at Jake and replied.

"Okay, Jace. First question, why should it be me? You can ask any woman for a contract marriage to be your wife," Ann slurred.

"Um, I'm Jake. He's Jace," Jake said with a smirk.

"Pffft..." Jace stifled an amused laugh at Ann's cuteness.

Ann's face flushed red with embarrassment as she failed to differentiate between the two handsome and sexy men.

"Oh... uh... you two are too similar, barely distinguishable," Ann said honestly.

"That's good. We do have to look hard to tell," Jace replied with a grin.

"Why?"

"Because we both need to take turns playing the same role without getting caught. This is our secret in doing business. So you can keep our secret, right?" replied Jace.

"So the position of CEO J. Carter was done by you guys together?" asked Ann.

"Yes, that's right. We become doubles with each other. Sometimes we need to conduct business transactions in several places at the same time. We do it alternately to be superior to our competitors," replied Jace.

"Then, why to choose me?" asked Ann.

Jace touched Ann's chin and brought her face closer, making Ann want to feel his sexy lips. Meanwhile, Jake's hand was still stroking Ann's thigh gently, causing an exciting tingling sensation.

"Because we also have business with the Graham family. Choosing the ex-wife of Hans Graham, who wants revenge as an ally, is the right choice for us at this time. But of course, you have to be willing to cooperate and not divulge our secrets," Jace said with a charming smile. His fingers stroked Ann's cheek gently.

Ann tried to catch her breath. Jace smirked, seeing Ann looking nervous and trying to contain her excitement. He still wanted to tease her further, making her fall into his arms willingly. Not now. Jace patiently waited for the right moment to subdue Ann.

"Am I involved in anything dangerous?" Ann asked, her chest rising and falling, trying to contain her excitement.

"Yes, but you are safe with us. Getting involved with Hans Graham puts you in danger," Jace said.

"What is Hans doing? Is he doing dangerous business?" asked Ann.

"We are still investigating it. We can't talk much yet. But, for sure, you're safe with us," Jake said with a voice.

"Don't you guys suspect me of being involved in what Hans did that you don't like?" asked Ann suspiciously.

"No, we know you're innocent. After all, we were indebted to your father in the past," said Jake.

"Be indebted?" Ann asked, confused.

"Yeah, when we were kids, we were kidnapped. When we managed to escape from the kidnappers, your father happened to be passing by and helped us. The Carters at that time were very grateful to your father and gave some money in return," Jake explained.

"Oh, I remember. My father suddenly had a lot of money for his business capital. He then quit his job as an employee and opened his own distribution business. Apparently, it was because of this incident," said Ann.

"Yes, that's right. So you can rest easy, Ann. We will treat you well because we owed your father a debt in the past," Jake replied in a soft voice.

"I understand. Then what should I do to help you guys?" asked Ann.

"You just have to play the role of fiancé and wife well, follow the actions we recommend, keep secrets, and don't act recklessly," said Jake.

"Okay, I will cooperate with you as best as I can," replied Ann.

"One more thing, Ann. You are not allowed to have an affair or have a romantic relationship with another man. We will not be jealous of each other. You could choose any of us to make out, although we'd prefer it if you were fair. We have to show the public that you are J. Carter's partner with an affectionate attitude," said Jake.

"So when I'm with any of you, I have to show affection?" Ann asked for sure.

"Yes, that's right because you are J. Carter's future wife. But, in the eyes of the public, J. Carter is just one person," said Jake smiling, blinking one of his eyes.

"Okay, I understand. I'll stick to our agreement," Ann replied. She was secretly relieved. The temptation of every man in front of her was so strong. Ann could not bear to choose one of them. Jace and Jake are so seductive and sexy. Ann's passion was hard to contain when faced with them. Even now, when they were talking earnestly, Ann was trying hard to distract herself from the excitement her body was feeling.

"Okay, then our conversation ends here first. You can rest. If you want to find us, enter our room. Our bedroom door is unlocked," Jace said with a seductive smile.

"Wait, I have one question," Ann said before letting the two men out of her room.

"Yes, Ann?"

"How can I tell you two apart?" asked Ann with a serious face.

Jake and Jace looked at each other and chuckled.

"No, you can't. Only time will tell," Jake replied with a chuckle.

"Besides, it would be more interesting if you guessed who you were with without us telling you, wouldn't it? That way, you'll be fairer to us," Jace replied with a wink.

"Oh, you guys are such a meanie," complained Ann. However, in her heart, this game felt exciting and challenging for Ann.

"Relax, Ann. You'll get to know us slowly," Jake replied with a smile.

The two men exited Ann's room, leaving her alone in the room.

That night Ann, slept soundly. In the early morning, she woke up feeling thirsty. Ann went out to get a drink in the dark. Suddenly she heard the sound of the door opening and footsteps approaching.

Who came this early in the morning? Did an intruder enter the house?

Ann's hand holding the glass trembled slightly at the thought of that possibility.

Suddenly a masculine hand hugged Ann tightly from behind. The hand was so firm that it was useless for Ann to try to free herself. Instead, Ann felt a hard bulge against Ann's buttocks.

"I wouldn't fight if I were you. Don't move if you don't want your bones to break," whispered a man with a husky voice in Ann's ear.

"Please..." Ann sighed in fear.

"Who are you?" the man asked again in a familiar voice to Ann's ears.

"It's me, Ann. Jace? Jake? Can you let me go?" asked Ann pleading.

"I'm not them," replied the man again.

"What? Then, who are you?" cried Ann in surprise. Her hands were cold, and her body tensed with fear.
